I got the free DDP this morning too! We are going to be at Wilderness Lodge for 7 nights from 9/9-9/16. Does this overlap with MNSSHP? I am worried that I may have bitten off more than I could chew since the baby will only be around 11-12 weeks old. My thought was to book it now and if it is too much I can cancel it but I really hope it works! I need a WDW fix!

There are MNSSHP scheduled for 9/12 and 9/16. I think you will be fine with the baby! Just go back to the resort and take naps with the baby!

We took Dallas at 6 weeks. It was a great trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was February (so no major heat) and I didn't have any other kids, which might make a difference. We just took it easy and enjoyed.

We took a 14-week-old in December 2007. :thumbsup2

Granted, we had mom, grandma and big sis (age 9), but he was an angel.

Me? I'm family by choice and know zip about babies. I just had some quality cuddle time. :thumbsup2 Planned that well, didn't I? *LOL*

You guys better STOP it! or I'm TELLING!

This is my little baby you are talking about! Look at that baby face, he doesn't have a crush on ANYONE! :snooty:
BabyCoreycrawling-1.jpg

Seriously though, wasn't he a gorgeous baby!
!

Awww he sure was a little cutie!!! :goodvibes

My Mom is throwing a dog party for the girls this afternoon, so I sewed up a doggy outfit for Arminda last night. I'll post pictures as soon as I can find my camera... which may be after we get back, knowing me! I think she looks pretty darn cute in it!

Did you just say your mom was throwing a "dog party" for the girls??? How cool is that!!! Your mom sounds like one heck of a grandma!!! I definitely want to see pics of this party!!!

Awwww! Thanks so much for the sweet words about my eBooks. :goodvibes It makes me so happy to know that you all are getting lots of use out of my eBooks and find my little tricks and tips helpful.

Thanks also for the input on the sizing. I will definitely pass the information on to Kim. :thumbsup2 Like I said, the YCMT patterns are something new and are a separate product from the individually authored eBooks. So we are very interested in customer feedback, and it will help us in developing new patterns.

My SewBoutique4Dolly patterns are still going to be in the full size range (plus dolly), that isn't going to change :teeth: . In fact, this new shirt one is going to start at 6 months and go through size 7/8. I am soooooo excited about it!!! I've been playing around with the construction so that the front placket is constructed separately from the rest of the shirt. That way, if you mess up on the buttonholes, you don't have to worry about ruining the shirt - you just pitch the placket make a new one. There will also be lots of options for the piecing - vertical stripes, horizontal stripes, solid, etc. Here is another one - the first attempt, actually:
dragon.jpg

I pretty much have the collars and sleeves the way I want them now. The patterns are pretty much there, I just have to sit down and WRITE :surfweb: .

Anyways, thanks again for all the kind words and helpful input! Coming here definitely motivates me!!!

CarlaC

Ohhh I love that shirt. That will be an awesome pattern!!!!

You could cut them off a little shorter to make capris and add a ruffle. Then make buttonholes in the denim above the ruffle and thread ribbon through and tie a bow. This looks really cute.

OMG I LOVE this outfit!!!!!!!!

UPDATE on the ruffled capris!!!

In response to YOUR feedback...

Kim is going to put together a greatly discounted bundle pack with all three sizes! Be on the lookout!!!

YOU ROCK!!!! Now that is some excellent customer service coming our way!!!!

Aww my puppy kind of looks like yours :) Her name is Raven. She is half minpin/half miniature dachsund.

Oh my goodness isn't she DARLING?! Definitely the hound dog face!! LOVE HER!!! Really beautiful mix!

congrats on the Free Dining!! We arrive 3 days after free dining starts. I'm not sure if I should try and do a second reservation for the rest of our stay so we can get free dining. It kind of sounds like more of a hassle than I would like. I don't want to have to move rooms. My husband won't have that. He likes to unpack and PARK IT for the duration!

but it would save us a good bit of money...AND/OR we could upgrade to the DXDDP and just pay the difference which is less than the regular DDP...AND it would mean two snacks a day per person AND a free mug!! Gotta love free disney plastic! (Although did y'all hear about plastic marked with a 3, 6 or 7 is actually rather dangerous and should be tossed? I have a Nalgene water bottle that I haven't used yet but it's got a 7 on the bottom of it which means it could leach very bad chemicals into my body! YIKES!!!)

Poor baby! SOOO off topic, but this reminded me of being at a funeral one time and my aunt somehow got a bee in her girdle :rotfl2: You should've seen this (not young, not small) woman dancing around shrieking and screaming "there's a bee in my girdle!". :lmao: It was many years ago and my DSis and I still laugh about it. She was fine BTW, we were not the only ones laughing. Now how do you get a bee in your girdle?

I absolutely snort laughed at this! Which his good! I needed a laugh!!:lmao:

Jay just called and it seems that Teddy told the principal that his mommy said he doesn't have to sorry! Of course she did not say that, but that is what he thought. He also told the principal he can "do whatever he wants"...

which leads to the dilemma...his party at Build a bear is this weekend and if I was a social worker dealing with this situation I'd say he loses the party. (it's his THIRD party so far as it is...) He sassed back to an adult AND it was over something very naughty that he did. But the part of me who loves and adores Teddy knows that this is not entirely his fault. He has not been given the proper boundaries in the situation.

Jay is furious. Mostly not at Teddy.

*ahem*

And the principal started the meeting sort of joking...but when Teddy wasn't properly contrite he got mad. Hello...YOU are the adult, you set the tone!

rar.

so now I don't know what is going to happen.

why can't kids just behave all the time?!:confused3

I just wanted to comment that I LOVE the name Dallas! I actually knew a family that named her kids after the towns they were born in. Dad was in sales and they lived all over. Their kids were: Houston, Odessa, Dallas, Abilene, and Austin. Abi was in my class and her sister Dessa was a year older. I always used to wonder what they would do had they lived in like...Marfa...or Nacogdoches...can you IMAGINE?

:rotfl2:

Got my free dining ressie also!! I ended up adding 2 days to my trip to get the free dining. So we leave for Disney on 9/20 and come home on 9/29. And it was only a couple of hundred $$ more. I guess that means I need to add another custom to my list outifts?

I guess the same way my Mom got one in my diaper! I have no idea!:rotfl2:

Oh, that makes me feel better! I wanted my parents to come along (they went with us last spring and actually paid for everyone's trip) so they could help but my Dad said that he thought it was too soon to go back and that we shouldn't either. It upset me b/c I wasn't asking for permission (I'm a little old for that - see the cloth diaper comment!) or for him to pay for it, I just thought they would have fun being with their grandchildren. It definitely would have made things easier since both of my older girls (they will be 3 and 5) will be able to ride the coasters that are 40 inches and above and my oldest will be 44 inches, but whatever! I know we can do it I just wanted the extra help. Sounds kind of selfish now that I put it down in words though!

I would ask and see if you can't get it for two reservations, it would save a lot of money! And from what I've heard on the boards that if you let the hotel know ahead of time and when you check in they will usually go out of their way to make sure you don't have to move rooms.

I don't know what I would do in your shoes with Teddy. It is a dilemna. I would hate for such a little guy to miss his party but at the same time you don't want him thinking he can get away with murder and not have any consequences. I know his mom isn't on board with you guys (go figure why?) but is there anyway you could go to some group counseling? I don't even know if they offer anything like that and I don't think you and Jay need it, but maybe to get her on board as a member of the team it might be worth it. I would say to recommend parenting classes for her but it sounds like she would definitely be resistent to them but maybe with all of you? I taught middle school before I had kids and parents like her made me crazy. Nothing was ever their child's fault and they never had consequences for their actions. I'm sure that you and Jay can keep him on the straight and narrow but it will be so much harder without her help!

You are making me laugh at that! Living in Dallas that is pretty funny! How about Possum Kingdom (I laugh every time they mention it on the news here!). It would make for a beautiful name!

Believe me, we've tried the counseling thing...but she won't have it. It's a waste of money.

most likely he will get his party. I don't like it. I know he shouldn't. I know we should hire the worlds most BORING baby sitter and leave him at home, but our time with him is precious and if he is getting a 40 guest party next weekend, missing this one isn't going to do much to him at all. It will just prove the point that he is loved more elsewhere...as I'm sure that is what he will be told.

cuss words.

:headache:

My grandma had a cat called Possum!! We called him Poss! He was the fattest cat I have ever seen in my whole life! :lmao:

goodness...can you imagine a pageant queen saying "I was born and raised in Possum Kingdom!"

not so much...

:goodvibes

So someone wanted dining suggestions for adults, not in the parks, right?
I think this is a great opportunity to explore another resort

Jiko-my favorite!!- this is "business casual" and I didnt find it stuffy in anyway- casual chic- I was having shoe issues and bought a pair of flip flops from the gift shop-and didnt feel out of place at dinner in a long sundress.
get the filet mignon w/ mac n cheese- YUMMY!!!

Yachtsman Steakhouse

New-now considered #1 steak joint Shula's Steakhouse (Dolphin)

Beaches and Cream-totally low key, no adrs accepted, average wait 30min-fun atmosphere (Beach Club) Try the Kitchen Sink, DH plans to on our next trip.

Kona Cafe- casual-yet elegant (Poly)

Spoodles-very popular

Fulton's Crabhouse- decent steak here, so dont feel like you have to order seafood here

I DO NOT recommend Rainforest Cafe

House of Blues- I like this place and the atmosphere and music

Raglan Road-go early to have a relaxing quiet dinner

Yes... this does overlap MNSSHP. And it not only overlaps that, but also overlaps the time that we (DH and I) will be there!

Were at BCV's from the 6-13th.

THere seem to be lots of people that have trips planned. WHen is everyone going? We should see if we can meet up with each other for lunch or breakfast or something- that'd be fun!

All I can say is that I just figured out that they stand up better with shoes on!
Before they were falling down everytime I tried to take a picture. I'll have to be more daring with the poses now.

Here is what I made today! It is a stroller caddy :) All freehand, no pattern :)
