Thank you nurse Castle! I feel okay-ish...head-ache-y and whiny mostly! :lmao: I've had a sore throat for a few days and thought it was Scarlet Fever again, but I don't think I have strep.

I DID give my husband an accusing glare last night b/c he DARED to change detergents without getting my notarized written consent for said change. :snooty:

it's not even that I'm all that sensitive to dyes or scents...it's BRANDS. Certain brands I just can't tolerate. Not sure why.

and since I was exposed to wretched measles there aren't any doctor's offices that want me anywhere near them. Which I understand. But I really don't think it's measles and I can't go back to work without a doctor's note.

grrrr.

I'm working from home anyhow. I can do parent conferences over the phone SO THERE!

did you want that $100 in by way of Pixie Dust or buried Treasure? I'm going treasure chest hunting next week! pirate:

:goodvibes

All this Measles talk was reminding me of my lovely measles experience. I got the Measles in the summer after second grade. Mother called the Neighbor over to show her my "rash" Which is primarily on your stomach. Of course my mother has to show her how it goes down under my panties. :headache: Fast forward to 1991 and I am trying to go to college. Turns out that kids born in 1972 were vaccinated earlier and that the vaccine wasn't as effective. So Georgia State University wants everyone born that year to be revaccinated. We tried to get records of my having the actual measles but Mom didn't take me in to the DR. So No Record. So I had to have another Measles Vaccination. At this point I am probably the most immune person to the Measles.:lmao:

I had to post this since I used to be one of the top Ten posters on the original thread but. . . I haven't been around much lately I have been too busy.

Oh. . . I hope you are feeling better soon!

WOW!!!! You guys make such awesome stuff!!!!!!!!!!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Butterick also has a pattern for that shirt #3832. Buttericks are on sale 2/$3.00 this Thu/Fri/Sat at JoAnn's.

 My oldest turns 9 next month (I have a birthday first and I will be OLD ;) ). You need to update your signature.
Oh thanks- I'll be checking into that :rolleyes1
Hi All! Once again I've gotten behind on this thread. I think I'm going to make one last apology for not being able to keep up. :-)

Anyway, I finally had a chance to make the pants to go with Zoe's Tink top/dress. Here's the finished set:

tink_pout3.jpg

I also decided to try painting some shoes since I already had a pair on hand that I'd bought a few months ago to experiment on. It was a lot of fun picking different patterns from the prints I used to replicate on sections of the shoes. I'd initially planned to have the shoes basically the same but after I did one, I decided to make the other one totally different. I think they still look like a pair even if they aren't the same. :)

tink_shoes1.jpg

tink_shoes2.jpg

I have a feeling I'll be tempted to make a matching pair of shoes for each set... and Zoe already has more shoes than one little girl needs. LOL Hopefully my practical side will prevail...
I love those shoes!! Very cute- she be the best dressed kid at Disneyland!! :goodvibes

I'll have to drag this material off to the fabric shop with me. I'm waiting until after vacation to tackle something for her!

We are headed to Florida in 2 weeks... We fly in to Tampa on the 22nd and Head to Disney on the 27 till May 4th. We are helping my neice and then attending her wedding on the 26th and then the real vacation begins!. I need sunshine so bad! Have a wonderful VACATION!
Our first day in Florida is the 3rd, our vacations will barely overlap!

What a cute idea! I think any really girly pattern would look cute made up with your Goofy fabric and some prints in coordinating colors. And some really fluffy coordinating bows. We go to Disney in a couple of weeks, and I hope my daughter (who is not yet 2 years old) is not terrified of the characters.
I like that idea!

We are hoping that Sawyer will not be too afraid of the characters. We'll be there for 2 weeks, so if he is, I hope he gets over it!
hi all! I found some little enistiens fabric at hancock and I am trying to track down a little enistiens dress thast was posted a while back. It had a yellow top with rocket on it. Does anyone remember what page or have the link?
That reminds me, I have a bunch of pictures I need to upload to the Photobucket account! I can't think of her username, but it was laura Pierce that posted those. I'll try to get the photobucket all caught up for you tonight, and then the pictures will be there.
Those clips are so cute and so original. I need to go to the Dollar Store and get me some headbands.

I don't think that material is goofy at all. I think it is cute. :rotfl2:
You are so funny!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I didn't even make the list. I am just too busy sometimes to post, but I am sure enjoying everyone's projects. :)

PS You see the Snow White costume my little one is wearing in my siggy? I made it! :thumbsup2

I was wondering if you made that! We need bigger pictures!

Ok, I finished the second Enchanted outfit, I'm uploading some pictures, I'll post them in a minute....

On the other end of the spectrum, I have had Chicken Pox TWICE. Once when I was about 9 and once in COLLEGE. Then when I got pregnant with Spencer, they tested my immunities, and i was NOT immune to CHicken Pox, adn had to have a booster!! :scared1:

It's genetic that my family doesn't hold onto Chicken pox immunity...my mother had it 5 times. :scared:

Brianna wants Giselle's Yellow outfit. Is anyone going to even recognize it??

I have it half done. I used an adorable yellow eyelet. I'll post pics tomorrow after I finish it.

I made this Enchanted top (not a dress) for a fellow Diser. She wanted a top instead of a dress so her daughter could wear it over leggins. I thought that was a pretty clever idea! I made up the pattern for this one too.

Deann, I sent you these pictures first, I hope you got them!

Arminda saw this, and thought I had made one for her, so I think I might have to make another one!

I am racking my brain to remember a yellow outfit! Do you have a picture? I can think of the pink one, the teal one, the flowered one, and the purple one she wears at the ball... I've seen this enough, you would think I'd remember it! Well, I love all things Enchanted, so I'm sure I will love it!!! I can't wait to see it!

I love that Goofy Fabric. My DD would love it too. Where did you get it? It will be adorable as a pinafore or an Apron Top.
:goofy:
My next door nieghbor's granddaughter just came back from Disney. She is a 3 yr old cutie. She also was scared of EVERYTHING in a costume. Goofy got her over that. Some how he charmed this little girl and they came home with pics of her hugging all the characters and princesses.

She wants to be "Mrs Princess Goofy"Help me figure out how to girly/princess this up please! She wants a dress... Maybe a peasant dress in red with a pinafore of this print???? ruffles in another color???? Help! :cutie: :goofy: (I have 3-4 yards to use of this goofy material)

At the VERY END when they are dancing around the apartment, Giselle is wearing a simple yellow dress.

Just stopping in to say hi! I am loving all the new customs. I am trying to at least lurk with you guys so that if we move I do not get to lost lol. We have been insanely busy. Our sibling group is going to grandma at the end of the month and our adoptive placements have been moved up to coming in May. Princess A is still with us and we pray everyday she stays. She quit breathing last week and DH and I preformed CPR on her. She spent last week in the hospital and thankfully is doing much better now. I never realized how fragile life truely is I do not think. I cannot wait life to slow down a bit so I can start sewing again!

When we had Tessa's party, I set the limit at $20. The manager of the store talked to me beforehand and told me "Make sure everyone gets a $10 bear, so they can all get an outfit." I told her that I was just going to tell them they have $20 to spend and let them get what they want. She told me that she doesn't want a bunch of kids crying because some of them got outfits with their $10 bear and some of them didn't with their $20 bear. I told her that these are all my nieces and nephew and they won't cry about it. She kept insisting and I got a little frustrated with her. Guess what? No one cried! Some of them even shared their "extra money" with their cousins so they could get a shirt or something. I am totally not answering your question, just pointing out what wonderful nieces and nephew I have!

Awwww!!!!

I WANT ONE!!!!!!

Thank you! I asked Corey right before I saw your post, and that is what he said too! (Is it bad that a 15 year old boy knew that and I didn't???) I can't wait to see it!!

We will not be at PPP, but WILL be at WDW, it looks like the same week you will be. :thumbsup2

Where are you guys staying??

We're staying at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort..it's right behind the Caribbean Beach. My BGF got it for free from her Grandparents! Where are you staying?

hi everyone,

its been so long since i have been able to hop on the net because we have had computer problems. i have not seen most of this thread yet, so nothing to comment on yet, but i am sure everything is fabulous! I have caught the last few pages through and noticed all the talk about petti's. Tahlia is turning 7 next month and she asked for a petti for her birthday, but because of the waits, and the prices, not to mention overseas shipping i thought it would be easiler to make my own! Here is what i have been working on, its not finished, still have 2/3 more to complete.

it actually hasn't been to bad to make, although i dont have a ruffler yet so i have to do it all by hand:headache: ! Its pretty much like a twirl skirt but you add more layers as you go down. like i said its only 1/3 finished so the end product should be 3xtimes more 'puffy' than the pic.

I have had the Rubella shot three times in my teen and adult years and I always have the result that means I have to have a shot. (I can't remember if it is negative or positive.)

I remember the yellow dress. If noone recognizes it than ohwell. Hopefully they will just think she is pretty.

That is so pretty. If Jenna didn't have so many outfits made and planned for WDW I would ask you to make her one.

Speaking of birthdays- I sent DDs out (for friends and family and kids) with "no gift necessary- just bring your appetite" Im doing a cook-out style. Fairfield County be "darned". I have a neice who for the last 7 years doesnt say thank you for gifts. Her Mother is no help. She sits the kids in a circle and hands them all gifts (regardless of who they are from, so for example our gift ended up in the hands of strange kids) they are then passed-like some sort of game around the circle. They stop and neice takes one, opens, rips apart gift- might mumble "thank you" to the air, and then repeats. One year I told DH I didnt feel well and couldnt go. I wrapped gift and sent it along and told him to "keep it out of the circle" apparently he put it behind a couch and pulled it out after "the circle" he handed it to her, she opened card, played with ribbon, ripped open gift, mumbled "thank you" and then someone asked her who gave it to her- she had no idea. They dont send thank yous either. Okay, Im off my vent.

Embarassing moment revealed.....
When I was in 1st or 2nd grade my parents had a party for me, but I used to get really ramped up earlier in the day on my birthday. Well I guess I wasnt behaving during the game of leap frog cause I got sent to my room....My parents obviously believed in party guests being GUESTS and should be treated as special since they are coming and bringing you a gift-Lord knows what I was doing. IF BAB existed I'd had the same bear everyone else had LOL!

Jehoviah's Witness- HeatherSue- was that you? I'm so intrigued! Maybe you can help me! See I'm Petacostal, and these nice J.W. came to visit me and I accepted their little book to be polite and explained I was Petacostal. They have come back 2 more times since. I explained last time I really am a bible-thumpin Penticostal and pretty deep in my church- they said "thats okay" and I just dont know what they want and I dont want to be rude cause they are very nice to me. I actually dont want to discuss "my belief vrs their belief" I really dislike confrontation or debate and Im afraid their goal is to convert me (like some of the born agains I have heard who go out into the community) What can I say to them at my door and be polite? It seems rude to tell them not to come back.....

DSC04294.jpg

I would do a short peasant top with 2ruffles on the bottom-I suggest popping into a quilter's shop and picking up a lime polka dot (preferably lime with white dog) and alternate ruffles
Then pair it with shorts or cropped pants with a ruffled edge.
Depending on what function you want her to have with it. A less frilly look-
A cute A-line dress/top (McCalls and Simplicity make these) with CarlaC's easy fit pant pattern (use it w/cuff)-then get lime groigrain ribbon and pin bows to the shoulders (I say pin so they can remove for laundering)
If you wanted to "frillify" the A-line cut a long 2" strip on the bias, hem or serge edges and ruffle it up and attach to edge of A-line top.
Now I MUST know-WHERE did you get that fabric! I WANT IT!!!!!!!

Sorry if this post seems too long- its my way of cutting down on post count!!!LOL

I sure hope things work out for you. That must have been scary when she stopped breathing. It's a good thing you and your DH were able to do CPR on her. I hope that she gets better.
