Hi Everyone,,,,

I have a question - does any one have the crocs scutes for their kids? I was really thinking about them and wondering how they worked out - now Hanna is wearing the 4/5 caymans and fills them completely - would i get her the 6/7 scutes? Tim is wearing the 10/11's more for the width than the length, but he usually wears the strap up - would the scutes have the strap in his size, and if so, could he flip it up? Elizabeth is growing out of the 10/11's so I was thinking of the 12/13's for her - would they be huge????? Thanks so much in advance for your help!!

Wendy

OK
1) No need to be ashamed to admit you love Napoleon Dynamite. It is, after all, a flippin sweet movie.

and

2) Frank the Tank as we like to call him is supposedly a mini short hair, but I do believe he is more a medium size with medium hair, LOL! He's mostly red with black on the edges of his ears and tail. And he's sort of a pain in my rear. The kids LOVE him, though, and he's actually really good with them. But sometimes he drives me batty! He's an excited pee-er and a barky barkerson! We haven't been able to "break" him of either. But I do love him - most of the time!

Yep, sounds like a doxie!! My baby is currently being a Barky Barkerson at the moment. My husband brought me flowers and they are on the table and BJ does NOT like it when things that are not normally in the house take up residence. So he has to bark at them to let them know that they are not wanted!

He is only an excited wee-er when anyone but ME takes him outside to powder his nose. Poor everyone but me! Y'all know that Doxies are doing us a favor when they decide they will go potty outside. They aren't doing it out of obedience in any way. A doxie does what a doxie wants.

ya gotta love that kind of moxie though right?

:goodvibes

Hi everyone - Thanks for all the well wishes for my surgery. I actually came home last Friday - but this is the first day my eyes have cooperated and I was able to focus. Couldn't even enjoy lurking. I have been up to my sewing room a couple of times - just haven't felt like sewing. DD has Daddy Daughter dance Friday night and I do have material I was going to make a summer dress with shirring - did some samples of that and love the way it looks. So maybe I can get to it tomorrw.

As for the surgery every day I feel 100% better than the day before. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2/22 and oppted for double mastecomy with immediate reconstruction. The mastecomy/reconstruction was last Wed. So far so good. Have not yet been able to look at the scars - can see enough from above. Chemo will begin inn 3 weeks. I am 48 years old and have a DD9 and DS7 plus a wonderful husband.

I just wanted to say thanks once again for all the well wishes and prayers you all sent my way - to a perfect stranger - this is such a nice and friendly board - you were able to ge me out of my lurkdom. I hope to be regular poster here. even with pictures

LOL, yes, they certainly do have moxie! That's part of what makes them loveable! Too funny about the flowers! Sounds like something Frank would do.

Aaahhhhhh I finally finished this! I actually had a skirt about 50% done when I put a big hole in the denim as I tried to remove some stitching (stupid hem of the other side got caught in the stitches). Since I couldn't find a plain denim skirt in the right size, I had to improvise and convert a pair of jeans. Anyway, after buying a second pair of jeans, I started over and this time the skirt remained whole. LOL This is the first time I've done the ribbon "fringe"... and I think it will be something I do again soon.

BTW - I'm SO glad Zoe's no longer in the tiny sizes like this set!!! I can't believe how much harder it was to do the applique on this (it's a 2T).

Oh, that's just too cute! I especially love Bert and Ernie! One of my favorite Sesame Street episodes from when I was little was the one where B&E go fishing and Ernie starts calling "here fishie, fishie" and all the fish start jumping in their boat!

Oh, and I agree about the small sizes - it's much easier to applique on a bigger size garment. I guess I should start appliqueing on my clothes - goodness knows they're plenty big enough - should be a cinch!

That is so cute. Jenna would have loved to have had something like that when she was that little. She was a total Elmo and Sesame Street fan.

I remember that episode. I laughed at that one for a while. I still say that too. "Here fishie, fishie!!!!"

that ribbon fringe is ADORABLE. I'm so glad you said it was a 2T. I looked at it and thought that it seemed awful young for your daughter. It was one SERIOUS blonde moment on my part. :rotfl:

Hello everyone! :wave2:
I'm completely new here but have been trying to find the disboutique thread since forever! I am heaving a big sigh of relief and joy to have finally gotten here!:yay:
I haven't gotten a chance to look through all the pages of this thread yet but I'm very eager to.
I was also wondering if anyone knows anyone who makes those awesome outfits for slightly bigger little girls (as in me). Whenever I'm in WDW I always see little girls with the most beautiful outfits that obviously were made just for them and wish that I could have a fantastic outfit like that to wear to meet the princesses. Any info would be fabulous!:cutie:

Welcome!

Do you mean adult sized outfits? I think there are a bunch of folks who made some customs for adults, but nothing too ostentatious. Did you check the link in teresajoy's signature to view the gallery of pictures?

GL!

Well they are going to wear mommy made clothes so I guess that's something!!:rotfl:
Seriously -You did a great job!! I love the appliques!! So what are you going to do with the legs of the jeans??

WOW! That is gorgeous. You must have put in some serious time at the sewing machine appliquéing all those characters and details.

I finally found the pettiskirt at the Disney Store! They were cleaning out the back room because we had way too many boxes and they were taking them to an offsite storage. I asked the stock manager if he had seen a box labeled pettiskirt. He had just put that box on the cart to go, so I snatched it up, found my dd's size (I got one size larger) and put it to the side. She loves it!

Hi Marla! I'm glad you're feeling well enough to post!!! I have 2 friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept. 1 with stage 1 and 1 with
stage 4.
Both are doing great!!!!! They both had double mastecomies. One(stage 1) has already had her reconstruction and Bets, my other friend, will have hers at the end of May. They are both cancer free.I know that you will do as well as they have.
God Bless and you and your family are in my prayers.

Wendy

Jackson and Cooper have scutes. I will start off by saying that the Disney crocs that we have are apparently different from everyone elses. Ours are so much smaller than our regular crocs. In regular crocs, Cooper wears an 8/9 and they are a little big. The 8/9 Disney fit, but probably won't last all summer. The 8/9 scutes are HUGE. Jackson wears 10/11 in all of them. They fit similarly to fit of cooper's. His scutes are not huge though.

You can't really flip up the strap. It doesn't fit well like that and looks out of place. I think that 12/13 does not have a strap. The 10/11 does have a strap.

Where do you get the friends around the world fabric? I can not find it anywhere :( I would love to find some to make my girls an outfit! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know where to find it! i do not have a Hancocks here Only Joann's but if there is a website that sells it, I would LOVE to know!
