Lisa!!!! Congratulations! What a huge relief!

What are ya going to do to celebrate????

I love the little nurse...she's cute...to celebrate..we are off to our favorite place for a 3 day weekend..but unfortunately it won't be until next weekend..:rotfl:

Congratulations!!! What great news! I felt the exact same way the day I went to take my Real Estate Exam. I had a good cry in the car on the way there and then again when "passed" showed up on the computer screen. I went home with the worst migraine that day all because I got myself so worked up. I'm so proud of you....way to go!

Someone told me to take Tylenol in the morning. I actually had to go and buy some, because I never need it. But it's the best thing I could have done. When I left there, I actually could feel a mirgraine coming on, and I think the tylenol helped. Of course all of that crying, didn't help, I'm sure. :sad2:

and I'm sure you were charmed from the beginning since ELISA is a very important biochemical assay!
I used to ELISA on 96 well plates on a daily basis - LOL!

I was hoping no one noticed that...LOL...my mirco professor sure did though.

Congratulations!!! I've been wondering how that went for you!! My sister had to take that test not long ago...she said half way through it she had decided she shouldn't be in the medical field at all b/c she was CLEARLY too brain dead to even understand the questions!

She passed too.

:lmao:

Isn't it nice to have that sort of worry over?!

Now you can breath and rest in the knowledge of your vast intelligence.

AND you can sew.

it's good to be YOU!!!

:goodvibes

You're so funny...:rotfl: After question 14..I had just had enough. It was like reading a foreign language...That's how I describe my microbiology class, it's like learning a foreign language to a country that doesn't exist. :rotfl:

Castlecreations - what's the test for?

The test is what you take to get your nursing license. They have one for practical nurses, and registered nurses.

So even after you graduate from college, you are only a graduate nurse until you take that exam...and did I mention that it costs $405.:scared1: ..I certainly didn't want to have to take it again.

Wow! That's a pricey test! COngratulations on passing!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2

Okay, I took a break from sewing and updated my trip report! In case you've been anxiously awaiting...:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Here are Lily and Saylor (the first time she ever DIDN'T smile, I think the poor babe is teething) in the outfits Sugarbees made them. Lily was THRILLED! She had to put it on immediately (hence the pile of her discarded clothing in the background) and kept saying "we twins". Too bad she is sitting in the photo and you can't see the cute pants she has on underneath.

Even sadder it is snowing today so I don't know when she'll ever wear all the summery stuff I keep making!

I'm getting so frustrated!!! I've been trying to thread my stupid sewing machine for almost an hour and I'm obviously doing something wrong! I'm at the point where I need to pull the bobbin thread up through machine but it's not grabbing it! grrr....This is harder than it seems!

THANKS! No, I have to get some pom pom fringe AND do some serged edge-roushing with aqua ric rac (brick brack  ) in the middle. Then I'll decide. I have extra wide aqua ric rac i could also use. It's a little funky like I visioned.

I can't even pick out shampoo or paper towels without it taking FORever so it may be a while.
:rotfl: Well you could try all three simultaneously! :rotfl2:

Hi Everybody..
Quick update on me...LOL
I went and took my NCLEX. I don't know what it stands for...only that it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. By question 14 I was ready to give up. I actually had the lady come over and assure me that I was taking the right test. I managed not to cry until I got to the elevator. I cried the whole way home. It was an absolute nightmare. I called friends who had recently taken it and they said it wasn't bad...I graduated top in my class, how could it have been easy for them...stinkers..anyway, after 2 days of worrying, I found out today that I PASSED!
I'm so happy. I actually cried, again, when I saw the screen and saw the word pass. I had to look at it twice before I really saw it.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! It's a huge relief to get that over with... Now let the sewing weekend, begin!!!
Wow that is quite an accomplishment!:cheer2: :grouphug: Group hug from all your fellow Disboutiquers!

Awwwwwww they look so precious! I love the dresses!

It's been a month since I went to our "local" Joann's. Last time I was there I was frustrated over the amount of flannel and lack of Disney fabric. I decided to go back and see what they stocked up on now that its spring.

Drum roll please..:rockband: I actually brought my camera and took a picture of all of it...

IMGP5104.jpg

Yes, folks, that's right. There were two bolts of Car fabric with checkboard coordinating fabrics. One flannel Ariel and that was it. :confused3 And thats all they've had for the past 4 months I have been checking on them. Pretty pathetic huh. Luckily, the Disboutiquer Sohappy is going to hook me up with some fabric she managed to find! Thanks!

Here's a pic outside today I also took....Happy Spring Everyone!!! :flower3: :sunny: :flower3:

CONGRATS!!!

I couldn't imagine having to wait a couple of days to find out your results! When I took my securities licensing exam (WOW almost 12 years ago) I had to wait about 30 seconds for the computer to tabulate the score and post PASS or FAIL. It was the LONGEST 30 seconds of my life. Of course I had already been working for the company for 3 months and if I didn't pass the test I would be let go... no pressure at all ;)

When I took my CFP exam, we had to wait 6-8 weeks for results. Fortunately, we took a Disney trip during that time to get my mind off it. But it was still very stressful!

CastleCreations - Congrats! I know what a huge relief that is. When I got my CFP results, I sat in a chair and cried and was in disbelief that I actually passed. I kept checking the resutlts over and over again just to be sure.

Okay, here come a lot of pictures because Lily was in the mood to model! This is what I made with my Easter dress scraps. This is the newsboy hat (it was fun to make something different), Carla's simply sweet dresses and tops:love: , and Carla's easy fit pants from YCMT. Next time I will make the elastic pieces longer because the size 3 is a little snug on my 2yo. That being said, LOVE the pattern! It was very easy and I will definitely use it as a "staple" pattern.

Here is my editing out the runny nose dripping down the face photo (it would've turned out better if I'd used photshop, but then Id've had to change computers):

GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
It Must feel awesome!

I want to cry. I don't know why the needle isn't catching the bobbin thread. I've threaded and rethreaded. I know it's correct know. I'm so frustrated, tears are coming out :sad1: I just want to sew!

That is too adorable for words! I need to buy that pattern and use it...once I figure out how to thread my machine! LOL
