This is another one of those halter top/goucho pants ensembles...I made it today...I actually timed myself and it took me 57 minutes...suhweeet!

Cute outfits! Saylor is sure a cutie! It took you 57 minutes? I can barely cut my fabric in that time!

Oh, that stinks! I totally don't understand why Hancock's stopped carrying that Minnie Dot fabric. I had to wait 2 months for mine to come back in stock last year (sorry, I used it all!) online since my local store never seemed to have it in stock. Every time I went in there they said that they would get about one bolt in a week and ladies who sewed clothes (I am assuming for :wizard: ) would buy the whole bolt. They were always out of it! Very frustrating. Now I understand that it has been discontinued. I just don't understand why they would stop carrying such a popular print. I used the Minnie Dot from Wal-Mart for Halloween costumes last year and I didn't like it quite as well but it is second best. Here is to hoping that they will start making it again!

Hi Everyone,

also found this Tink floral that I hadnt seen before...
100_0661.jpg

OOooh I just love thet Tink Floral! I have never seen it either.

Thanks for all of the compliments on the outfit that I made. I guess DD takes after her dad. He has certain things that he absolutely won't wear. The funny thing is that I made her an Ariel top using the same pattern and she loved it.

S2010074.jpg

hahaha isn't that just a kid for ya!?! I adore the Ariel.

You all are sooooo nice. Here is what I am looking for.....

S2010073.jpg

This is the outfit that I made for DD that she didn't like. She says that it just isn't her style. She wants me to make her one like Tom made. I told her that I would. :sad2: Boy am I a sucker. I don't know what is wrong with that pic. I turned it and shrank it in Photobucket and for some reason it didn't translate over here.

I LOVE that outfit! That pattern looks super cute...hmmm...could I ask which pattern it is? I LOVE that fabric too! It looks so much more expensive than it actually was!

it is frustrating. I originally got 15 yards and I am down to just 6. I am bidding on a 5 yard bulk and then I have a lady selling some for 12 yards at $125 :scared1: :scared1: holy moly, but it is popular and now out of print! I have enough for the custom on :wizard: currently and then some. but my duaghters cheer group I need 8 yards total for that.

I can call mine, and see if they might have some for ya.

that would be awesome!

YIKES!!! I just got some, and it was only a yard, I think if the fabric store doesn't have any, I might need to get some more!

Here's the Cinderella dress that I made for my dd...she said this one doesn't twirl as much! LOL

th_IMG_3881p.jpg
I love this so much!!! That is really great!!! You can do so much with that peasant dress pattern. I am making our oldest neice a Snow White outfit, and Heather suggested that I use the peasant pattern for that. I'm thinking now that she had a very good idea!!!

Your daughter is SOOOO gorgeous!!! She reminds me of one of my other neices. Soo beautiful!!!

I made Tessa a Mary Poppins outfit today. I think I can officialy say I "whipped it up". It took me 3.5 hours from start to finish (that includes cutting it out and making some of the pattern up). That's very fast for me! I'll post pictures tomorrow!

I saw it, I saw it, I saw it, nahnahnahnahnahnah!!!! AND she even let Lydia try it on! Tessa was NOT happy about that! But she sure looked pretty in it! Let's just say, Heather is very clever!

Bare Minerals question. I never wear foundation- just blush, light eye shadow, and mascara. All the foundation I've tried makes me get pimples. I am prone to pimples, but also have dry skin- Ugh! Anyway, is this stuff good for acne prone 33 year olds?

I was wondering the same thing. I really wish you guys would stop bringing this up though, because every time, I'm SOOOO tempted to buy some, and I never wear any makeup.

On a side note I just found out I am REALLY not going to be around much anymore. I am getting a 10 day old baby most likely on Friday she is under 4 lbs so a lot of my time. :) I am so excited though. There is a chance she will stay with us forever. Please say prayers. I get to go find preemie clothes tomorrow! :)
Oh, I hope she gets to stay with you! Prayers are coming your way!

Jayden is such a doll too! Look at those toes! So cute!!!

Great job ladies!!!! Great job!!!

Oh yeah, your kitty is adorable!!!

don't oubid me I am crazy right now! pirate: hahahha

Bwahahahahaha:lmao: I would never. haha Ok ok really , I wouldn't. I only need another yard or two to stash away for when she outgrows what ever will be made of the one coming to me now! hehe

OOOh hey! I Just hit 500 post with my last one. YAY ME! hahaha

I think these are both cute!! And, I love your daughter peaking from behind the chair!

I didn't tell you all about part of me not reading directions first. Yeah.... again... total man didn't read the directions!;)

When I printed the pattern, I didn't see the part about no page scaling, and of course I didn't print out the test square to see if the scale was right. The first top I made is probably a 4T to a 5. I "thought" I printed out the 7.:confused3
After I finished the first one, and tried it on Leighanna, I realized that. Doh! A little bit too tight around the chest!

So just as a reminder, I am sure all you ladies read instructions impeccably. Make sure you check the "no page scaling" option when printing out your pattern!

If anyone would be interested in a lovely Aline top in a size 4 - 5, PM me and I will randomly pick who gets it!

I did the same thing with the peasant dress pattern. I was so peeved with myself! I figured it out before I sewed it, but after I cut it. It was the one I was making for someone else, so I redid it. But, I think it might actually fit Lydia, so I might just sew it on up.

Yeah!!! You fixed it, and it's so cute!!! I love Georgia hamming it up!!
Everything I've seen is so cute! You all have mad applique'ing skills!

I'm new and stumbled across the disboutiquers threads and I'm so excited to find you here. I love to sew and make about 75% of my kids' clothing. Of course I've been planning in my head what to make for them when we hit WDW in April. So far I've only made some capris and a peasant top with a mouse head applique. I've got some vintage(?) mickey knit that I think I'll make DS a curved raglan tee with and then he'll get the standard camp shirt from mouse head fabric. I'll probably made DD a matching shirt from that too. Maybe I'll get some new ideas from you all too!

Enough babbling, off to go admire more stuff. :)

:welcome: !!! I'm so glad you found us!! Now, we need some pictures!!!

UM & SM- :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: The "Blue steel" was so great!!! Looks like the photo shoot started off a little rocky but turned out good- The girls look so cute in their outfits- so worth the wait to see them :rotfl2:

eeyore3847- I will give mine a call for you but I haven't seen any of that at mine.

Princesskell- YAY you did it- and you were so worried

Sugarbees- I may be CASEing that princess outfit- I have both of those fabrics and didn't know what to do. I never get tired of seeing that sweet little saylor!!!

Billwendy- Beautiful mountains- and that is one BIG pile of snow!! :scared1:

ms. mckenna- Congrats on the baby- check in when you can- good thing you got all that painting done!!!

tinkabell- great job on the outfits- I don't know what I'll do when dd won't wear stuff I make

I bf my two kiddos with all the comments and looks from my family and friends- are you STILL nursing that baby- when they were barely a year old- we continued until about 17 mo. with the first and 16 mo. with the second. No cloth diapers- dh had bad experiences with his younger siblings and wouldn't even let us try it. But we loved the baby carrier- they didn't like the sling. So can I be :hippie: :cool2: too?!?!?

OH I cried when Georgia weaned herself from nursing just shy of a year!! I wanted at least 2 years. I couldn't pump either so I was double sad.

We couldn't do cloth DR orders! I was pretty ticked about that too. Because she had hip dysplasia and had to wear double diapers. they said it would be too much on her poor little skin... I was mad. I didn't see that having huggies would be any better for her. He said they would breathe more. She had rashes for the first six months of her life! Poor baby.

MEN IN TREESanyone watch it??? I am sooo happy its back tonight! I only have 30 minutes until it airs! WOOOHOO.. so if you watched it already dont tell me! If you haven't heard of it or seen it You MUST watch it! Its on at 10pm here. you can probably catch it on abc .com tomorrow.

I finally finished Kenzie's AK outfit

Those are super outfits, great work! And the pic with your dd and the cat is sooo precious!!
Megan wore her Marie outfit to school today (it is Tuesday so she could match her underwear) and lost one of her bows. :headache:

This is what I did today:

IMG_0076.jpg

Both the Marie and the SpongeBob outfits are SUPERRRR!
Also, I saw your scrapbook pages and you did a wonderful job with all of that. I am just now putting together our 2006 scrapbook.....soooo fun just alot of time!
I finally finished Sawyer's Prince Charming outfit!! I have no partially finished projects now!

Looking regal by the chest---------------------- Dancing around-------------------------Being silly
th_2-26-08posingbythecabinet.jpg

Love the Prince Charming....I have never seen anything like this before. I would love to have had that for my son! He is 12 now, so not sure this is his 'style' now, lol....but it certainly would have been his favorite when he was younger!

btw, my sister uses the Bare Minerals....and loves it.....she does have acne prone skin and also complains large pores...it looks great on her!

IMG_0076.jpg

It was my first try with the ribbed knit around the collar, it got a little bunched in places. I made this a whole size bigger so hopefully he can wear it next winter too. He probably won't like spongebob next year! I would apologize for his hair, but he wears it this way on purpose. All the boys in his class do, I blame Zac Efron.

I'm so behind here...this is fantastic! Again, I LOVE to see stuff for boys! How difficult was this? My boys BEG me to make them stuff and jammies would be perfect! These turned out GREAT! And your ds is super handsome...especially w/the Zac Efron hair! ;)

Thanks! :)
Trust me, if I can sew...ANYONE can sew! And I've just about mastered that halter/gaucho combo and/or the a-line/gaucho combo...I can just about make it in my sleep...yeesh! Thanks for the compliment though, you're nice!
;)
