disboards android app

I have android kit kat and the app doesn't work. Is it just me? I'm posting this using my chrome browser. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no go. Same problem on DH phone running ice cresm sandwich.

I don't use the app, I view full website on my phone. However, when I'm on sprint ' s network, I can't get on the DIS. But if I find a wifi connection then I can. It's been like this for a few weeks for me.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 with all the latest updates done, and nope, can't use the Disboards app. I tried to install it multiple times and it just doesn't work. I get an error message, i can't remember exactly what it says but I remember it being something about an app plug in. I had the app a few months ago and it worked just fine, then it just stopped.

I have an S4. But I'm using it right now. Once I lose the wifi from home, I lose the DIS.

It's also not working on my iPad and iPhone. I can access it and it's read-only even though it shows I am logged in. Installed on a new iphone 6plus and it functions in the read-only mode.

I have been seeing the same message about and out of date plug in, but I also have everything up to date. The app will not work on my Samsung Galaxy S5 at all. I used to be able to use it with no problems.

The Android app hasn't been functional in months, the owners of the Disboards acknowledged that. There was just an update on the Technical Board:

Thanks, Missy for posting. I had been following that thread to see how they would get everything running again and missed the update.

For those having issues with the site using mobile data- try selecting "Request Desktop Site"....seems ti have helped for me.

iPhone user and I stopped using the app, was constantly kicking me to app store with "ads", wouldn't let me post saying I wasn't logged in, tried to log in and it asked if I wanted to log out, deleted and redownloaded lots was no help. Finally I just deleted for good and look at it via my internet - but I am looking at it less now.

Ditto, mine hasn't been working now for at least a month, maybe two.

Galaxy s5 user here and like everyone else has said, the app is not working for me. I deleted it about a month ago and haven't tried it since.

I haven't tried the app on my Android phone, but whenever I try to access Disboards through my phone's built-in browser it has a weird and annoying problem.

When I view the topic headings everything looks fine. But when I click on a topic to view the actual messages, for a couple of seconds the text displays OK, but then, POOF! The text disappears and all I can see are a bunch of big rectangles containing blank colors, kind of like an abstract painting but chunkier.

If however I immediately place my fingers on the screen (as if to enlarge the text) during the 1 or 2 seconds before the text disappears, it will continue displaying the text as long as I hold my fingers on the screen and don't move them. This works, sort of, and I can often read a couple of messages before I get tired of freezing with my fingers on the phone, but it's incredibly annoying.

I know that they want to include ads and help google track every little thing that I do every second I'm online and everything, but mostly this is just a "plain text" bulletin board site and you'd think it would be pretty easy to get it to work on a mobile device with plain old HTML code.
