I am relatively new to the Disboards and although I find then interesting, informative, funny and occasionally maddening I do think that there may be too many subject areas, threads and posts for their own ggod. My point being it is there are so many new and revolving active threds that going back in after a short break it can be difficult finding one ort two which interested you initially.

Better than being too quiet I admit.

I find this place is great, you can ask the same question that has been answered 100 times in the past and someone will happily answer it (usually very quickly) again. On most internet forums you would quickly get flamed for not searching and get hit with the old "repost".

This is by far the nicest bunch of people on an internet forum that I have seen, maybe it's the pixie dust ? :wizard:

Oh and you can also "subscribe" to the threads that interest you and then you the quick links to view all your subscribed threads. I find this works well. if you reply to a thread, you are automatically subscribed.

Subscription is the way to go to follow threads.

I totally agree! I think it's a testament to how much the folks here love Disney, they want to spread the love instead of flaming someone for not searching. I LOVE the DIS!

To subscribe without posting:

Click on Thread Tools directly above the OP and then Subscribe To This Thread. And there ya go. You're subscribed!

To view your subscribed threads:

Click on User CP (User Control Panel). Your subscribed threads (if still active) will show. If not, click on View All Subscribed Threads.

IMHO, there can't be too many forums, boards, threads, etc. The more info, the better. I find the Community Board quite helpful at times about everyday questions (such as my current question about painting interior trim). Good luck and most of all....HAVE FUN! :yay:

Oh and......:welcome:

Also make sure you turn the e-mail setting off. It'll flood your inbox for each new reply to each thread you have subscribed too. Unless of course you want that. ;) You would click on "User CP", then to "Edit Options" on the left side, Then in the "Messaging & Notification" box you want "Default Thread Subscription Mode" then set it as you wish. Don't forget to save the changes at the bottom! :)
