Monday 2nd June.
Went to Blizzard Beach - got there at 09.45 and joined the queue to be let in at 10.00. Went straight to our usual spot to the right of Melt Away Bay - between there and the chair lift. We like this spot as it's out the way and in the shade.
Kids couldn't wait to go on the slides so we all went up to the toboggan racers first and had 2 races and as usual the husband won (because he's the heaviest). My 4 year old was pushed down first by the CM but we still all managed to get passed her and we were all in fits of laughter at the bottom.
We next went on the snow stormers (my favourite)
Got soaked on the downhill double dipper as you get a downpour of water just before you plunge into the pool at the bottom - I know you're already wet!!
Climbed all the way to the top with a big family raft to go down teamboat springs. You get really exhausted climbing all the steps to the top of these slides and it's over in seconds!! All good fun!
We lastly had a relaxing float around cross country creek - everyone else ended up far in front of me but I didn't care as I just lay there in my ring taking in the sun.
We then grabbed a hot dog from Avalunch and left at 1.30pm to go back to the villa for a quick shower and back to Downtown Disney to eat at Planet Hollywood.
Rob and I both had the fajitas and they were lovely. We went for the first time last year when my mother-in-law came with us and because there was 6 of us were seated upstairs. This time was right at the bottom and I have to say we didn't enjoy it as much as the service wasn't as good although completely satisfactory and they didn't come to take our photo which we wouldn't have minded having. Never mind - the food made up for it!
