On the cruise meet threads here, I often start a Candy/Local Snack Exchange and there are usually members, also I ask if anyone wants to meet for breakfast when I am on a longer cruise or a DVC Member Cruise. Just last week we had a small breakfast meet and it was good!

I messaged the OP in case they forget to hit the follow button. Sometimes I do that and then have a difficult finding my thread again.

As for finding my FB group I usually join the group here and someone shares a link with me. The one for my upcoming cruise has been very active. With spouses and children factored in we represent about half the the people going!

Begs the question, how does one fine their cruise meet on Facebook?

Use the Search option in Facebook. You can often find them that way. Some are listed as secret, in which case you can't find them with a search. I don't really know why they do that. However, there are other Facebook groups that you can find in a search whose primary purpose is to connect you to a Disney Facebook Cruise Group for your particular sailing. Use the search function to find them. We are not allowed to post links to them here.

And when you do find them, how do you know they are really on your cruise? Lately, my DIS cruise meet threads have been one person telling people to Personal Message them for the link to the "site not to be mentioned here" group.

The Facebook groups are moderated by random people, so it's not always going to be clear if everyone in the group is actually cruising with you. The group name usually includes the sail date and ship name.

Don't forget to try the search function on the DIS. A lot of your questions may be questions others have had. I've found most of my answers that way. Of course you are welcome to just ask the general group too! You are likely going to get a lot of answers, but search will give you answers right away.

My frustration has disappeared, found two great FE groups, and info I was looking for, just got a little impatient, sorry. In a Happy place now.
