Yeah, cheesecake tends to be REALLY bad for you.

I was proud of myself today... knew that I would be at an offsite meeting all day and had a hockey game at 7:45 (meaning not making it home for dinner), so I brought breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and stuck to it even when everyone went out for hibachi at lunch.

I packed a 100-cal muffin pack for bfast, turkey wrap, salad, cottage cheese, strawberries for lunch, celery/cauliflower and ff spinach dip for a snack, and a hormel complete roast beef&mashed potatoes (220 cals) for dinner.

Also, my company has a wellness program and they make you do a checkup every 3-5 months (if you stay good, your health insurance is heavily discounted). My last visit was Jan, and since then I am down 15 lbs, 6% body fat, my fitness level went from good to excellent, and best of all, my blood pressure went from 140/80 to 104/80!!

I did it I dragged my sorry :eeyore: to weight watchers. Their scale says I weigh 6 pounds more than my scale says!:scared1: That was diappointing. But on the bright side it bumps me up 2 more points a day!

ATTENTION: are any of you going to WDW in mid-july? my sister is going with her boyfriend and she may be interested in doing a photopass share. let me know if any of you guys are interested. it would save you lots of money! and she's totally trustworthy - you can come hunt me down if she does anything wrong. her dates are july 12 - july 17. let me know!

Need some word of encouragement HELP! So one from work just brought in cheesecake… You see Me & cheesecake go way back we have an off again on again kind of love affair. To put it mildly I can’t resist it. My first road hump in this journey I am taking.. It’s calling my name… HELP!:worried:

Did it have you at cheese DisCanCan :lmao: step away from the cheesecake....you can do it you rock! :)

OHHHH that's the worst! Was there any veggies or somewhat better choices? Hope you made it through unscathed! You have all week for damage control!

Well I ended up having a smallish scoop of BBQ and salad and fruit. But the best is now we will be eating those leftovers alllllllll week! YIKES!! This will be a challenging week for me!!
Then tonight is the night of running afterschool! Tuesdays are baddddd in my house. My son has two appointments tonight and there is just an hour inbetween that's not enough time to run home and eat so we will most likely have to eat out! Most likely MC no no's I am such a sucker for fries!!! What to do?? What to do??

A TINY wedge has over 100 grams of FAT

WHOLLY cheescake batman!!! That's enough for me to stay away!!

I did it I dragged my sorry to weight watchers. Their scale says I weigh 6 pounds more than my scale says!

Why is that scales are so different?? I weigh myself at home and the gyms scale is allways differant. I don't get it. Does anyone know when in the day is the best time to weigh themselves?

Have a great day everyone!!! :)

I tend to like to weigh myself in the morning (typically thursday..my ww weigh in day), naked :hyper: only once a week.

I have read that as long as you consistenly weigh yourself around the same time the same day of the week that is the most accurate way to track your progress...Some people like to weigh themselves everyday but to me that is just setting myself up for ups and down and mental instability, I think once a week is the perfect way to keep track of your progress..but everyone is different..i dont know if there is an "official" way to weigh yourself..but I do know that if I DONT weigh myself once a week I tend to gain weight and lose track of where I am going, the next thing you know 2 or 3 weeks go by and I could have gained 5 pounds. Stepping on the scale mandatory once a week for me keeps things in check

I will not be there in July but this photoshare sounds like a great idea I just dropped around $130 bucks for the Photopass CD myself! :furious:

I dont know exactly how Photopass works but we will be there June 30 to July 13. We are leaving early on the am of the 13th. We would only overlap 1 day with your sister.

HOLY CRAP I so didn't know that there was that much fat in a tiny piece. I have back away from the cheesecake & instead I grab myself a refill of water. :yay:

Cheesecake is also a MAJOR weakness of mine. Great job avoiding it!! ..............P

OOPS!! Sorry.... just noticed I am signed in under DD's user name! This is PJLLA!! .........P

Great job on planning your food for the day ahead of time! That makes SUCH a difference when trying to eat healthier. At least, I know it does for me. I have to run out later and will be out around lunch time. I am trying to plan ahead so I don't end up with an "unscheduled" drive-thru run. Remember, "IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN, YOU PLAN TO FAIL." And good job with the blood pressure!

Well.... I'm off to my first physical exam in almost 10 years!! Yup... haven't had a Pap or anything in a loooooong time. Although I did have a Mammo in 2006 after having a few alarming symptoms that turned out to be nothing. But that was my last doctor visit and it was brief. I'm really not this kind of person.... I am relatively healthy (I think) and I make sure to visit the dentist twice a year WITHOUT FAIL. My kids see the doctor regularly, as does DH..... but in typical Mom/Wife/Housewife fashion, I have taken care of everyone else and neglected myself. When the kids were younger it was difficult to go to the OB-GYN with them in tow.... but of course, they have been in school for YEARS now, so that excuse hasn't flown for a LONG time! :rotfl:

So I am off to be reprimanded by the Nurse-Midwife about my lack of medical care. But hopefully not about my weight! I'm SURE that I am lower now than I was after the birth of my DS and that is the last time I recall going to the doctor, so that should be good. And I never have had blood pressure problems, so no worries there. But I have NEVER had my cholesterol checked and we have a bit of a family history there, so I will be curious to see. She is supposed to order a full blood work-up for me. And of course, schedule my next Mammo (fun, fun, fun....NOT). My Mom is just past her 5 year mark after her breast cancer, so it is VITAL that I start getting my Mammos more regularly...... I'm such a SLACKER.

Hope everyone has a delightful day.............................P

Hi all! Hope everyone is having a great week. Here's the latest for the July 4th challenge. Let me know if I missed you!

Ok ladies, think back to high school. Aren't you supposed to say " I must, I must, I must increase my bust!":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Was there an equivalent for men? Something like "I mean this, I mean this, I must increase my..."? Ok, maybe not.

Wendy - Just so you know, I won't be around this Friday to weigh in. The wife and I are going on a quick getaway to Wisconsin Dells later this week. (It's the "Water Park Capital of the World", but the thought of me in my bathing suit is just :scared1: .) But I'll be popping in sometime early next week to gather all of the weights for our mini challenge.

Have a great day everyone!

You know I have never ever been to the Dells! ( I think my parents were to cheap to take us as kids ) My kids keep bothering me to go. Are you going to Noah's Ark?

Have a great time!! :yay:

Thanks! We're still undecided on exactly where we'll be going. The weather looks dicey, so we might head to one of the indoor waterparks instead. We were at Noah's Ark 5-6 years ago during a big t-storm, and they had to shut all of the rides down when it started to lightning. So most likely it'll be one of the smaller indoor ones for us.

order a grilled southwest salad (yummy!) and then eat a couple of your kids' fries. 2 fries aren't going to hurt anything. it's when you eat a whole order that does the damage.

it's awesome. me and winkers shared a photopass this last time. i pre-ordered the CD which saves you $20 right off the bat. then we split the rest - saved me $50! you can find photopass shares on the budget board with a few people that will save you even more than that, but i wanted to do it with someone i know.

I dont know exactly how Photopass works but we will be there June 30 to July 13. We are leaving early on the am of the 13th. We would only overlap 1 day with your sister.

do you mind if i PM you about it?

It's official. I'm pathetically out of shape.

A couple months ago, my mom ordered this "jump rope" from QVC. It's basically 2 jump rope handles with weights built in and no actual rope to jump over. You just go through the motions of jumping rope (perfect for me since I always trip over the stupid rope). Anyway it comes with a DVD with an 8 minute beginner workout and a 12 minute intermediate workout. I went beginner since I am one. Whoa...it even has 3 (small) water breaks built into it and I was out of breath after a minute of jumping! I actually stopped jumping and just walked in place for a couple parts because I just couldn't do it! Of course it didn't help that I have hardware in my ankle and all the jumping and bouncing wasn't feeling so great. But I tried my best to finish it. I didn't realize I was THAT bad...since I can walk for good chunks of time at a decent pace I figured I would be able to do this with minimal difficulty. Boy was I wrong.

Will keep trying though...maybe jump roping is not the best workout for me.

Hope you all are having a great day!
