Sorry I have been MIA lately, have barely had time to breathe.

I have gone into full-on vacation mode, so I am abstaining from weigh-in until May 30th. We leave tomorrow early morning, should hopefully be pulling into WDW around noon! :yay:

I would love to lie to all of you and say I was, at least, a samer...but I can't do that. I am +1! Stress eating got the best of me his week, so I am determined next week will not be the same.

Wendy...I had never had chicken pox either, but caught them when I was 25 from a woman with shingles. (2 weeks to the day, all 3 of my kids broke out in them!) Didn't know until then that shingles is from the chicken pox virus and you can catch chicken pox from them.:guilty: I was miserable and swore I was going to die! I definitely had them in verey nook & cranny I have!!:scared1: My advice to you is stay away from anyone with chicken pox or shingles. :sad2:

I have such a busy weekend...bridal shower tomorrow 3 hrs away, then driving back home and Sun is an open house for our home. Really hoping it sells quick!

Yes Melinda, we are downsizing. 1925 sq ft is waaaay too much for 2 people. DS is only home a few months a year when he's not in school. We are looking for a ranch or cape cod with 3 bedrooms. Haven't found "the" house yet, but we know it's out there. ;)

Where did the days go?!! I forgot yesterday was Friday!

Anyways, Im SAMER this week again! I cant wait for the 21st! Hopefully once I get Wii Fit I can finally start to loose some lbs.
 
Let me start by saying I am down 1.6. For me that's a big loss. I'm hoping I can hang onto the decreased appetite from being sick (but ditch the zero energy and move on from aerobic hacking to something more pleasant and socially acceptable).

Yes-fresh mushrooms. I missed the trivia tourney today because we went to watch DD dance (she was fabulous) and when we got home it was too late. Darned Pacific time zone.

Ok, that's 2 weeks in a row. I'm starting to panic. I bought lots of healthy food yesterday. Plus the DVD. That is still sitting there in front of the DVD player :laughing: I have to wait till DH goes to work. He can NOT watch me exercise :rolleyes1
It's the sound effects I want DH to miss. He doesn't need to know how many things flap when I bounce around. Maybe that's why they crank the music in aerobics class at the gym?:confused3

Will they do the vaccine in adults? DD was one of the test case kids for the vaccine.

Where we live the kids are getting a booster vaccine for the chicken pox around age 9 or 10 because they saw it was kids were getting chicken pox after 9 or 10 years after they got the first one. Does that make sense?

Punkin is doing her trip report so I've seen her there, Pigget I haven't seen in a long time, AnnNan and MJ either.
 
Sorry to have been MIA lately. It seems like everyone is doing well and there were some terrific weight losses this week. Sorry to say mine is nokt one of them. I am -.2 Pretty pathetic, I know. I kind of expected a better number. I did have a big splurge last Friday night at the movies.... I had popcorn and Twizzlers and M&Ms, but not an extreme amount. And I stayed within my points EVERY OTHER DAY this week. I used NO OTHER flex points other than the ones I used at the movies. And I had three really good workouts. So I really did expect a better number. Maybe it will come next week.

Are we still sending a PM to DizneyDawn with our weight or has that competition kind of dwindled away?? ..............................p

I thought mince was universally known! :lmao: After asking around I now find this is not the case, and most other people know it as Ground Beef (?!) and Mince is just a term that I use apparantly :rotfl2:
 
Hello from Orlando! I've got free internet tonight so I thought I'd check in and let y'all know we made it in one piece. We had a lng and tiring drive and the most ventful thing we dealt with was costruction all along I75. We lost at least an hour to the slow downs and ane restrictions. We check in at POR in the morning.

I wasn't very peepish in the car....... I ate when I wasn't hungry and had fried foods. I did a bit better for dinner, we got chinese and I had a ittle bit of steamed rice, stir fried veggies and the tiniet amounts of meat and sauce. I picked the veggies out of the entrees..... I likely did more damage than good since they were in the sauce.

Thanks for the well wishes, I know we're going to have a great time.

I hope those who are under the weather feel better soon.

I need to run, the only sleep I've gotten was in the car.
 
Hi, Melinda! (and everyone else)! I'm a lurker - check-in everyday just haven't managed to get it together to post. I justify trivia because it usually only takes a minute and a half or less! The company I work for has a new parent company, and everything is changing. I've been working almost twice as many hours as usual tho I think I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, I've been living on sugar and caffeine for about a month and not exercising like I should. I'm not back where I started, but if I don't get back to my regular exercise it won't take long until I am.

I do check in here regularly. I miss y'all when I don't!

UK....Mince....OK, that's good. I was afraid it was like mincemeat pie...raisins and stuff. The Quorn mince would probably be really good in chili and spaghetti I'm guessing.

OH YES..i am very mindful from Monday-Friday and sometmes I am very whatever with my weekend eating. BUT i have been more active on the weekends to try and counteract that..so hopefully that helps ;)
 
I don't think I ever posted my weight on Friday. I'm getting bad about posting on time. I was either +1 or 2.

I am probably definatly going to the shore this summer, so I want to look decent in a swimsuit. I am being very good right now, today I've eaten strawberries for breakfast, and carrot sticks with low-fat spinach dip and a grilled chicken breast for lunch.

I'm right along with ya. I eat great Monday through Friday and the weekend yucko (smily with tongue sticking out). We had family from FL and GA this weekend so we ate out a lot this weekend. I was even bad and had pizza last night but I ate a salad with it ;)

I'm the same way..I eat hardly anything during the week (except for a reasonable dinner) and tend to give it a bit on weekends.
 
Hi Peeps!

I'm back from Disney and I survived my first solo trip. I didn't see any Peeps or any DISers for that matter. I had a great time just doing what I wanted to do in the parks! You'll have to read my TR for the specifics though **wink, wink, nudge nudge**

So now that I don't have any mini-vacations or stressful internships to sabotage my good eating (or give me an "excuse" to eat whatever I want), I'm ready to get back in business. One of my biggest problems is exercise. I HATE it. I really do. But I know that deep down it is essential to losing weight. So I'm asking for a couple things here:

1) What are your favorite exercise/workout routines? (i.e. walking, curves, a DVD, etc)

2) How long do you work out for and how many times a week?

3) If you listen to music, what are some of your fave "get pumped up" songs?

I'm just curious to see what everyone is doing exercise wise because the Peeps have been doing so great, becoming skinnier skinny minnies every week!

Hello everybody! I have been NOT so good the last few weeks. What really happened is I stopped charting my daily calories, water intake, and exercise. I think that I really need to do that, at least while I'm still losing weight, to stay in touch with the reality of what I am doing or not doing.

Consequently, I'm up 0.6 pounds.

It's not too much but it all adds up. I need to be going the other direction at this point.

Shannon - I appreciate your dislike of exercise. For me, eating well is more difficult (although even that has become better since I've made more of an effort). So here are a few answers to your questions:

1. Walking while listening to my iPod (particularly the DISUnplugged podcast) is my favorite and most common exercise routine. I also have the Winsor Pilates circle workout DVD. I do the 20 minute routine - not that long, right?! - and I could see results within two weeks. (They were the kind of results that only I would notice, but still.) Occasionally I break out some yoga, Callanetics, or an old-fashioned Susan Powter aerobics workout. You'd probably have to hit eBay to find those last two.

2. I don't see or feel results unless I work out 4-5 times a week.

3. When I want a more vigorous workout I put on music to make that happen. Here's a few songs to check out (of course, depending on your tastes you might hate this stuff!): anything by Mika, "Read My Mind" by the Killers, "Surrender" by Cheap Trick, "Inbetween Days" by Ben Folds, and "Groove is in the Heart" by Dee-Lite. All depends on what you like!

4. I know there were only 3 questions, but I add this as a caution: I'm not really the person to be answering these questions! I still have plenty of weight to lose, and my exercise habits are not anywhere near perfect or even reliable.
