Disneyfav...so sorry to hear about your cat

pjilla, disneyobsession & Disnelaura! Thanks for the birthday wishes!

My mom got me the cutest lenox Disney statue of minnie and mickey at a soda shop sharing a milkshake ....i love it!

I have some very sad news. My cat died suddenly while I was at work last night. He was fine all day, or at least appeared to be, but I found out on my break that he was gone. I am just so depressed today.

So sorry...

Welcome home from the cruise. I was laughing so hard at the post when you said about going from eating all day to down to 3 small meals. How true that is. :lmao:

I think you might be right on the UTI thing. If the cranberry juice and lots of water doesn't please promise you'll go to the doctor.

Yes I wil go to the dr if I don't think it is clearing up. This morning and last night (after drinking TONS) it feels slightly better, not quite as "sensitive" and I don't feel the immediate urge to go right after I'm finished...we'll see. But I will go to the dr at some point if necessary ;) Another fun contribution is that I'm supposed to be getting aunt flo any day now (actually she is late - supposed to have been here on Monday) so I'm crampy, bloated and my back hurts. Fun stuff.

No work today. I did plan to so some serious cleaning of my bedroom (as in putting clothes away, going through boxes, etc.), but I'm just not in the mood. I think I'm gonna just be lazy today. Hope everyone has a great day whatever you're doing! :cutie:

Happy Birthday LMO!!

Oh no!!

Good morning! I have tried to post three times this morning and keep running into trouble .... hopefully this will work!

Things have been quiet here the last few days... hope everyone is a-okay.

I have had a very difficult reeling the eating back in to "weight loss" mode after splurging at Disney, but I think I have finally gotten it under control. I was bound and determined that I would be back on program by Friday morning (we came home Thursday), but I ended up with a cold and very tired ( we ran ourselves RAGGED at Disney) and I was in the "just don't care" mindset. But I had an okay-not-great day on Monday and a terrific day (food and exercise wise) yesterday, so I finally feel back in control. And the scales have been nice! I have lost 1.4 of the 1.6 I gained in Disney. I may even make my Cinco De Mayo challenge (maybe I already have... can't remember).

I am setting myself another mini-goal to keep me honest and motivated. I have a birthday in about 6-ish weeks and I am setting a goal to lose 10 pounds by my birthday. That would put me at my lowest adult weight since 1994!!

Happy Belated Birthday to LMO! ..........................P

Glad to see you are back on track!! I am so impressed that you are actually almost back to pre-WDW weight. I always wind up so behind after trips... need to learn moderation, I guess.

Work is pretty literally kicking my behind. The bottom fell out on Monday and we are still trying desperately to recover. I have made good eating choices, though, mostly for sheer lack of time to think about eating bad.

Hey Peeps!

Well, I am back from my cruise and am officially ready to start being a peep again. I'm sort of gradually weaning myself off food :rotfl: . It is impossible to go from 7 days of nonstop eating to 3 mini-meals a day and maybe a snack or two. I did make a goal to stop drinking soda (diet or regular) which went pretty well today (day #1). I admit I brought a can in the car with me on the way back to work, but I had about 3 big sips.

So this week and next week, I'm working 2 days a week filling in until our office's new intern starts. This is the private practice I hope to be working for in the fall, full time. Then I'm heading off to disney for a few days to burn up the rest of my annual pass. I'm debating writing a trip report for it, but let's face it. I have started 3 trip reports and have yet to finish a single one of them. I always have good intentions though. We'll see.

Onto health issues. I think I may have a UTI or something. It doesn't exactly hurt when I pee, but today, I constantly have been feeling like I have to go to the bathroom and then it doesn't burn or hurt, but it feels "sensitive". Does that make sense? I've been drinking a lot of water and cranberry juice tonight when I got home so hopefully it can clear up on its own (which it has done once before).

Alright, just wanted to check in and say hello. I'm gonna try to read through the past posts and start replying more too.

Hope everyone is have a good (and skinny) week! :cutie:
Hi Shannon :) Glad to have you back..we have def. missed you! YAY for more disney coming up...BOO on the possible UTI. I thought i had one Monday but i think i was just VERY dehydrated from not drinking enough water during teh weekend..a did the cran/water thing and felt better..hope the same is the case with you!

Gina - I think I might have to take a look at WATP. I need something for home. I really haven't been exercising in the last few months and alls that I have home right now are step aerobics tapes. Thanks for the support. I needed that this morning, today's a new day right.:)
You really should check those out..they are super motivating and not "pushy" types of dvds like tae bo or whatever ( i like those too..but i have to be in the mood)..if you try them tell me how you like them!

That does sound yummy. The Kens spray dressing. Is it better than the Wish Bone one because that one was yucky to me.

++++++++

I am doing very well for my recommit day today. I already had 38 oz of water. I'm just sitting at my computer sipping away while not thinking that my brain wants some bad thing for me to eat. I had breakfast (a shake), for lunch I made a cheese sandwich on WW whole wheat bread with some yellow mustard and two cups of grapes. I feel full but I need to drink more water because my belly is starting to growl. It always does this the couple of days when I start fresh from a week of bad choices. I can do it.:)

Well I went to the Dr. after I posted this morning. My gut was just telling me that it wasn't going to go away on its own. Turns out I do in fact have a UTI. Dr. prescribed some meds and I should be back to normal soon, I hope.

I make this salad a lot too! Except I usually use a different salad dressing. And I use romaine lettuce, not spinach. But other than that it's the same :lmao: . I love love love goat cheese. Sometimes I will add 2-3 morningstar farm chick'n nuggets cut up into it as well for a little more food, some protein and stuff.

Came home from the dr. and took the antibiotic and it is making me sleepy. Off to take a little cat-nap I think. :cloud9:

I need a little disney advice. I'm already booked at Pop century, standard room with a AP rate for a total of $275 for 3 nights. I was thinking (typical) that I was a little nervous to be at Pop (for I do not know what reason) since I will be alone 80% of the time so I just checked to see if there were any rooms at Port Orleans. They had POR available which bumped my total up to $475. I told him I would stay where I was (Pop). Finances are getting a little tight for me and even though I'm going to be working soon, I want to be able to have money (and credit availability) for an apartment, furniture, etc. Guess I'm just looking for reassurance that I will be okay at Pop or reasons to justify the extra cost of moving to a different resort.

Do you have a specific security concern with staying at Pop?? We just returned from our first visit to Pop and loved it, but I don't tend to be to anxious. Maybe if you stayed close to Classic Hall or pool side where there might be more people around?? Just an idea.......................P

I can understand your thought process..but maybe if you look at it as Pop being a super family friendly resort hotel then you can feel more at ease. I personally think I would be a bit more nervous if i had to stay at the Poly in the corner garden room we had on the 1st floor by myself than in a super busy hotel like Pop...but its totally up to your comfort level. If spending 200 dollars more to stay at POR eases your mind, then i say go ahead, it is YOUR vacation after all!..

That is so beautiful. You can tell your mom my birthday is July 27th :lmao:

I'm glad to hear you'll be better very soon. I would still do a lot of cranberry juice though.

I think you will be fine but like the others said call and request a room closer to the main building if that will make you feel better. I think if you are with a lot of people around you, you'll feel better. You are totally going by yourself. You lucky duck you.

Gina - I was looking at the videos. Which one do you have or which one is your favorite. I would like one with the exercise bands thought, one comes with the DVD. I'm going to order it as soon as I hear back from you.
