DISappearing PEEPS Volume 2

Hey peeps!

Spring break starts tomorrow for the kids!:sad2: It is SO much harder to diet and exercise with them home. It breaks up the routine - ya know? (I'm hungry ...Mom what can I have to EAT?) I try not to think or focus on food during the day - a little housework, some work-work, and an hour of exercise pretty much takes up the school hours. But with them home, I'm going to be constantly (it feels like anyway) shelling out snacks, AND they expect breakfast and lunch to! Grrrrr.

Well, I can see I'm not going to get Mom of the year award......

Really though, today was good. Breakfast was 2 blueberry Kashi waffles and sugar free syrup-200 calories. Pretty good if your craving sweets in the morning! A fiber one bar for lunch, some baked chicken wings and baked beans for dinner, and some fat free pringles for the late night munchies. Not perfect, but it worked. Probably 1000 calories for the day.

I LOVE salad with meat in it. I also like to add chick peas for a little extra sumpin in there. Very filling :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a skinny day tomorrow!

Ah Spring Break...ours is over already. :cool1:

I know what you mean about throwing off your groove with them wanting to be FED  . Sadly, I've taught them to fix their own cereal....how else could I have read the Twilight Books in 10 days?

I also tend to pick food off their plates when they're done...GRRR! "Musn't waste food"! I AM NOT A GARBAGE CAN, I keep saying out loud when I want to do that . Sometimes it even works :rolleyes1

Fat Free Pringals give me the sharts! ;) Seriously something in them goes straight through me! Olestra anyone?

Skinny Thoughts to You!

I'm happy to start the morning off I'm - 2.2 this week!! WOOHOO for me! I may not be the
"Biggest Loser", but I am thrilled with this.

19 days and 2.4 pounds to go before WDW. I KNOW I can do it!

Now for the bad news.... snow again today and the kids have a snow day... at this rate we will be going to school until July 4th :sad2:

UM..... you go for it with the pooh muffins. I can't stand the things myself. But I have been pushing the 4C "Crystal Light" myself this week and it seems to have helped. (I use the 4C because it has Splenda.) Hope the muffins help this week.

BTW, I noticed you are trying WW. I have a few good WW recipes if you are interested... or if anyone is interested. Hope EVERYONE is a loser this morning!...........................P

Better then going up I guess. I probably would of lost more, but I think Easter and my grandmother's cooking did me in. :rolleyes1 You really have to wonder why someone who pretty much bribes me to lose weight bakes a pie, tart, and cake, and then expects me to eat it. Not to mention the big Easter dinners she cooked, and yes, that's plural dinners.

just dont go to the FOOD PORN THREAD- Its a diet killer for sure and will send you straight to the kitchen looking for KEY LIME PIE- thanks UM!- had a delicious glass of WATER instead. ;)

I love looking at that thread, because it's stuff I can't eat right now.

Just calculated my McDonalds grilled chicken Asian salad with sesame/ginger dressing and 2 packetts of almonds: ELEVEN points!!!!!! :scared: But I'm full and satisfied. 11 points .

I know. I get a salad from Chilli's that is 15 points but well worth it. It has pineapple and chicken in it and very filling. I have to have some sort of protein in a salad or I'm hungry in two hours, kind of like Chinese food.

Those muffins I posted the recipe for are great! I substituted Baking Splenda for the sugar.

Does that change the points?

LOVE "head-hunger". On biggest loser they say chew cinnamon sugarless gum. My mouth is kept busy with diet Pepsi. Or bleaching trays form the dentist. The bleach is super expensive and you can't eat with them in. My teeth ar white, I tell you what.

Gotta go get me some cinnamon sugarless gum.

Hey UM, just have 6 almonds. That'll fill ya up.

:lmao:

I don't know how you SAHMs do it though. Having the fridge right nearby all day would be soooo hard for me.:

I will tell you it's harder when the boys are home (they are 8 and 6) because they consistenly want food and of course like UM I finish their lunches when they are done, PUT THE GARBAGE DOWN MOMMY. Oh sorry about that. When it's just me and DD2 it's a lot easier because she eats and snacks but only little so she finishes. I do throw a lot of food away though.

well, sorry to disappoint you, peeps, but i didn't do the "no mercy" class tonight. i got called into court at 1:30 this afternoon and the hearing lasted until 7:00. the class is over at 6:45. DARN IT!!!! :rolleyes1 oh, well. maybe next week.

Sorry.

I hear ya girl. My boys are the same way. They have today off because of professional development day but our spring break isn't for another two weeks.

Telemarketing went pretty good today, I think I'm going to set a goal of at least 10 faxes a day. I'm calling property management companies and when I get someone that's interested, I fax them our company info. In my early 20's (seems like light years past instead of a little more than 10 years) I used to be a sales rep for a specialty lightbulb company (yeah-I know- light bulbs? ) and the majority of my job was cold calling from phone books to various parts of the state (close your eyes and grab a phone book- I had a stack!) and selling light bulbs to businesses. They gave a commision on sales with the salary, and one month I brought home a $900.00 commision check. Not much by today's standards, but it was big bucks to us back then. I haven't done it in a loooong time, but it seems like a good marketing tool. Hopefully it will pay off!:woohoo:

Hope everyone has a skinny day tomorrow!

I hope that goes good for ya, I couldn't do that. People must be awefully mean to you. I will say I am nice on the phone unless they keep going after I told them "I'm not interested thank you" three times, then I hang up on them.

Me too (on the kid thing) and you make me laugh so much:lmao: I can't wait to meet you in "real" life one day.

You can so do that. Nice job.

I do WW, I'm interested.

Now for the weigh in news. I'm down 1.4 this week. It's not a lot but I have been going up and down and up, then up and I'm done with this up and down stuff. I was real happy because I did eat some chocolate on Easter and then again on Monday but didn't gorge myself with it, a bite or two. Then I had ham so I drank a lot of water. I literally went to the little girls room every 10-15 minutes on Monday. Here's to another successful week my peeps.

I am +1. Yeah, I suck.

I am stuck on conference calls from now until 2PM. More fun that any one person can have.

No you don't, today is another day:goodvibes Looks like you're going to have more fun than me today. I have all three kids home, day off for the boys.

I lost 1.4 pounds this week, which is the exact same as I gained last week. This loss puts me back at my lowest ever adult weight of 167.6 pounds. I now have a grand total of 48.4 pounds lost since January 2007, an uber-grand total of 72.4 pounds lost since sometime early 2005. I am also back over 30% (30.17% to be exact) weight lost since my highest weight ever of 240. I am 2.7 pounds away from my Cinco de Mayo goal of being under 165; and I am slowly inching towards my goal weight of 155 (just 12.6 pounds away!). Life is good.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm trying to decide what night I want to go to MNSSHP during my trip. Even though I still may cancel my trip, so I won't buy tickets until closer too, I do want to figure out what night I'm going to go. Really any of the nights would work for me; 9/23, 9/26, 9/28, 9/30, or 10/2. There are reasons however, for not going any of those nights too.

9/30 would probably be the worst night, unless I moved around all of my ADRs.

10/2 would probably be the best night, especially since I haven't been able to make ADRs yet, and can still plan around it. That would also be my last night, and may be a good way to end my trip.

9/26 would be my next best choice, but that's the first night of the Food and Wine Festival, so I'd like to be at Epcot that night.

9/28 and 9/23 are pretty much even right now. I have an early dinner ADR on 9/23, that may make me arrive a little late to the party, but since I really only go for the parade, fireworks, and atmosphere, that wouldn't be such a big deal.

On 9/28 I have an early dinner ADR too, but, and don't laugh, that's a Sunday night, and I think it may be the season premiere of Desperate Housewives, which I wouldn't want to miss, even though I could always watch it online after my trip.

I'm -4.5 this week. I know that most of that is from not eating for three days but I'll still take it. I'm still not back to 100% yet so no exercise and I'm pretty much eating whatever I feel hungry for. I've been drinking plenty of water though and a glass of juice every day this week.

I hear ya girl. My boys are the same way. They have today off because of professional development day but our spring break isn't for another two weeks.
I know, it's weird, like, they are eating...why can't I? I want some Lucky Charms to!!!

I hope that goes good for ya, I couldn't do that. People must be awefully mean to you. I will say I am nice on the phone unless they keep going after I told them "I'm not interested thank you" three times, then I hang up on them.

Actually, it's going really better than I thought! out of 37 calls, 13 people wanted information, and 1 wanted a meeting! :goodvibes Here in Florida lawn maintenance is a mandatory part of a companies appearance. These people go crazy (really) over nice landscaping! Lots of competition, though.
I'm not really mean to telemarketers, but I try to get off the phone as soon as I know we don't want the sale...No Thank You-click! But I do listen (quickly) to make sure we're not interested in the product. (60 seconds or less?)

Yay! Good job. Water really helps me not to feel like I'm starving. I try to drink it before I am hungry (or thirsty...).

i'm a samer today. those 3 pounds i magically gained after working out the other day are gone today. i don't understand it, but i'm not going to argue about it!

I know. I get a salad from Chilli's that is 15 points but well worth it. It has pineapple and chicken in it and very filling. I have to have some sort of protein in a salad or I'm hungry in two hours, kind of like Chinese food.

aaahhhh.....the caribbean chicken salad.....one of my favorites! do you know how many of these i ate when i worked at chili's while in college??? so good!

I am stuck on conference calls from now until 2PM. More fun that any one person can have.

:bored:

I'm trying to decide what night I want to go to MNSSHP during my trip.

i say to go on your last night. we're ending our trip in april/may with the P&PP. it'll be something you can look forward to all week!

+1.0

Too many Easters treats. ;)

9/23 - Tuesday
9/26 - Friday
9/28 - Sunday
9/30 - Tuesday
10/2 - Thursday

I have been to MNSSHP many times. The best party dates are on Sunday followed in order by Tuesday, Thursday and then Friday.

So the best date of yours to attend is 9/28, then 9/23 or 9/30, then 10/2 and the worst date would be 9/26.

Of Course!!!!

Weigh yourself today so you'll have a baseline for next friday.

Are you already dieting?

Yes that's the salad. I could eat one of those every day.

Crowd-wise that would be the best order, but it's not the best order for me. And I am worried about TV shows on 9/28, and to a lesser extent on 10/2 too. (I think of everything when I plan my intineraries.)

Of course, I could always go two nights, but with my money being tight this year, much tighter then in past years, that seems like almost a waste, though I would enjoy going twice.

If I were to go twice I think 10/2 and either 9/23 or 9/26 would be the best nights for me to go.
