Well, I finally got the stomach bug- but just in time for weigh in it looks like...

Last week 171
This week 169.5

I am sorry Peeps. I did everything right this week. Exercised like a mad woman, drank my water and was under 1300 calories everyday but I gained a pound. :sad1:

Congratulations to all of the losers. Those are some good looking numbers!! :cheer2:

Same
But not for long.

I am going to start exercising again.

I am done with my meds and I actually feel pretty good.

Guess what day it is?

Well, it's weigh in day.
And I lost 4.6 pounds! WOOOOO!
I'm over my plateau!
woo!

but anyway -
that's not what day it is.
It's bring your puppy to work and leave him in the car in the parking garage day!
Wooo!

Congrats on your loss Misty!!! (dangit. I was hoping to be the big loser this week.)

I was wondering if any of you have eaten at the Big River Grille at the Boardwalk? I have one more ADR to make for my trip in July but I have to wait until May for the dance schedule to come out. I really would like to add Kona but i dont know if I can get in by waiting that late. Let me tell you what I have so far:

Hoop De Doo
CRT
Spirit of Aloha (the show at the polynesian)
Chef de France
San Angel Inn
50's Primetime
LeCellier
Whispering Canyon
Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch)

My open ADR dates are going to be difficult. (7/1 -7/4)

So do you guys have any suggestions of your favorite places?

Spoodles was awesome at the Boardwalk..been there twice with 2 other families..also love Beaches N Cream which is a TS at the Yacht and Beach, Portobello Yacht Club at DTD is another huge fave of mine....Olivia's at Old Key West is phenominal...took 20 women there from a Tupp convention and we all had the pot roast...to die for... sooooo goood......:woohoo:

I agree I love Spoodles!!! One of my favorites!!! Your ADRs look great! I am all for trying something once, so I would go with your ADRs..Also I love the SCI FI, not the best food but the atmosphere can not be beat.

as far as the HDDR, most people love it, i am in the minority I hated it..I think if you have children its a different experience..this was mine..
I posted this review awhile ago..there are tips on there that i think are great even though i didnt like enjoy the show

My fiance and I (early 30s) went to the HDDR Tuesday May 8. I did a lot of research before our trip and decided to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom knowing that one of the easiest ways to get to ft. Wilderness was by taking the boat from the MK. This tip was right on. The other tip I had read was getting there about 5 to 10 minutes before the show started not the suggested hour to 30 mins they suggest when you purchase your ticket. The line was huge when we got there (7:05pm) but they do not let anyone in the hall until 7:15pm anyway...the only other thing you may of done while waiting was take a picture. (If you have kids there was a little mini park) that they wind up trying to sell you as soon as you sit down to eat.

While we were on line a couple behind us said it was there 10th time seeing the show!!! The gentlemen said he loved the all you can eat food and beer and his wife said its a family tradition..This made us so excited to see the show as well another great review about the HDDR.

We had category 1 seating. I liked being able to pick up our prepaid tickets at the Beach Club when we originally arrived at the hotel, it was a better idea than picking them up at the ticket window (which would of been another huge line to wait on). Our seats were to the left of the stage. Our waitress was super pleasant and efficient. There was corn bread and salad on the table when we arrived. The food we both thought was great! And then the show started and that is when our misery began!!!

We thought the show was SUPER SUPER CORNY!!!! After 20 minutes of the cast going around the room announcing birthday after birthday and anniversary after anniversary, my boyfriend and I could only look at each other and roll our eyes! I mean we love Disney, we go on the family rides, see all the shows and love every second of it but could it be this is just too over the top! Maybe all the hype we heard about the HDDR made this show a huge let down! While I'm sitting there, I kept trying to figure out what exactly is so great about all this that actually makes people go back for 9 or 10 times? Maybe if we had kids we would of liked it better? Maybe there is something wrong with us???? how can so many people be wrong? Maybe people love it for the all you can eat booze and food? Our final straw was the point in the show when the woman on stage laughs and cackles for what seems like an eternity! At that point we had enough. Thank god everything was prepaid because we got up and LEFT! Would not recommend the show at all. Save your money and do something else instead.

Down 1 lb this week. :cool1:

I'm exhausted. We got in from the ER around 5:30 this morning & then I had to get my oldest son up for school at 6:30. I'm ready to go back to bed. My oldest son accidently kicked his little brother in the mouth last night. It knocked one tooth completely out, loosened two other teeth as well as pushed those two sideways and not in the right location. He has a good amount of gum & lip trauma as well but overall he is doing great.

Pakey, I'm off to Bristol. Catch all of you peeps later. Don't talk toooo much this weekend.

OUCH!!! I thought I had it bad around here. Hope he recovers well adn quick.

I am -2.2.

Which means, I think, that I made my Easter challenge! I am at 177.8 which is under the weight I was when my Jan/Feb WDW trip derailed me (and left me at 192!!).

Also, I put a pair of pants on this morning that I thought didn't fit (they didn't fit when I bought them, they are a 14)... and they are almost too big!

Congrats to all the losers (spongie, geebus! How much do your teeth WEIGH?)!!

Born, I tend to find that my good (or bad) weeks take a week to show up on the scale. So I bet you will kick butt next week!

We did Hoop De Doo last year and I agree it is very corny but the kids liked it so off we go again. The ones we did last year but gave up this year were Coral Reef- me and dh liked but not kids, Concourse - liked it but will be closed, Captn Jacks- I liked it until a big water bug crawled across mom's lap- Sci-Fi - dd2 was sick that day so maybe we should give it another go, Crystal Palace dinner- YUCK!!

I'm a little leary of the San Angel Inn but DD1 insist we have to go and it did smell delicious when we took the boat ride, WCC for us last year was just ok but I wanted to give it another shot. We did this one on our first night in and after waiting at the airport and my stressful first ever flight I was ready for some fun but we were seated and hour after our adr and only after I went to check on it but there had been a trauma in the lobby (a child fell and cracked her head on one of the big tables, paramedics and everything) so I think we could have just gotten lost in the shuffle. I was also concerned about Chef de France- alot of people have posted that their meals were taking 2-3 hours but my dd1 explained that in france a leisurely dinner is the norm and the servers dont round on their tables like american servers do - in other words if you want something you have to ask for it they arent going to come and check on you.

I also have to contend with dd2 who wont eat pork because "piggys are cute" and dd1 and dd2 no seafood. Me and DH bring on the food!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be checking out the menus.

Sparkie, I don't like San Angel Inn. I have tried it twice and honestly, I just don't think the food is any good.

Chefs de France is a long meal. But a good one!

Have you thought about Italy? Although I am not sure it will be open.

I have eaten at Big River and liked it, but not sure it is as much of a family establishment since it is definitely heavy on the beer-brewing.

i think your list looks good. i've been to 50's and le cellier and they both were good. our server at 50's made it worthwhile (cousin elizabeth). she was hilarious! we are trying LTT this time so i'll let you know when i get back in may how it was. although we're going for dinner.

if you're looking for something on the boardwalk have you thought of spoodles? we're trying it this trip, as well. i've heard mixed reviews but i think having an adventurous appetite is the key!

we're trying chefs de france and hoop de doo on our girls trip in september. both erica and i wanted to go to places that we KNEW our husbands would never go, so we're doing chefs, HDDR, boma and dinner at 1900 park fair (to get pictures with prince charming!).

Spoodles was awesome at the Boardwalk..been there twice with 2 other families..

glad to hear you liked spoodles! i'll be eating there in exactly 47 days, but who's counting??? :rolleyes1

For those of you going to spoodles..order the alcoholic beverage the blue spoodle!!! its delicious..im still dreaming about it!

I tend to save that outfit for Sunday brunch at the County Club....

That is so wrong in many ways :lmao:

-4:cool1: This challenge thing with the board babes is working for me. I was sooooo good this week. Of course tomorrow night I arrive at WDW so who knows what the scale will say when I get back! Off to e-mail DizneyDawn...remember everybody Dizney with a Z!:lmao:

Have a fun trip. Take lots of pictures for us.

I haven't said much b/c I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much or jinx anyting. But I met this guy on eHarmony about a month and a half or so ago and we've been e-mailing and going to dinner some for the past couple of weeks. So far I think we have great potential, but we're both taking it slow... he has a history with a bad relationship and I'm getting ready to do a 6 month assignment in another state for work (I'll still be back home on a lot of weekends to check on my house, it's not that far... and the road runs both ways). But anyway we both have busy weekends coming up and then he's going on vacation for almost two weeks and the day he gets back is the day I start my rotational assignment for work, so we decided to get together last night for dinner. :goodvibes

Yeah for you.

I am reporting a huge weight loss of 8 Pds    :wizard: Thanks to my Dental surgery back to back:rolleyes1 (Mon and Tues) Granted this time i am going to keep it off (hopefully ) when my teeth are all fixed again . i gotta look HOOOtttt with my new expensive grill:laughing: :cheer2: :thumbsup2
GO PEEEPPPPSSSSSS!

You go girl

Well peeps sorry I have to post this (sorry UM) I am so late in posting it too. I am +3.2 lb this week. I start out so good and then the weekend is bad. I bought cheese lovely lacey swiss cheese and ate 1 lb of cheese in three days by myself. Not good. This week is another one. Hope I didn't do a lot of damage for the other challenge with the other board.

Laura:flower3:

I saw my grandmother for the first time since joining the WISH Board and the Peeps thread. Since the last time I saw her, at the begining of the new year, I have lost seven pounds. I know it's not a lot, but I did lose weight.

If you all remember my grandmother had said she wouldn't give me my Christmas present until I lost weight. Apparently she won't give it to me until I weigh 130, my goal is 150, so even if I reach my goal, I won't get my Christmas present. Also, my sister who is about 220 pounds, and is half a foot shorter then me, got her present, go figure.

So anyway I saw her, and she brought cookies with her. She put them in front of me after lunch, and told me to have one. I told her I was full, and that I'd have one later, and she started a fuss that if I didn't want a cookie, I must not like her baking.

The day before, we went out for lunch, and she told me I "had" to have ice cream after my meal, since this place was famous for their sundaes, and it wouldn't be right to not get ice cream.

So I have to lose weight or else she won't give me my Christmas present, but then she's feeding me cookies, and buying me ice cream.

I'll also be seeing her next weekend for Easter, and she always puts tons of candy in our baskets, though that's easier to not eat, since I usually just take it home and forget I have it, or someone else eats it.

I don't get her logic. Does this make sense to anyone? I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that this is crazy logic.

DF4E: don't take this the wrong way, but i think that's kinda crappy of your grandma. you should get a present no matter what you weigh! i understand the whole motivation thing, but that's just kind of extreme. especially since your goal is 150 and HER goal for you is 130. i hope i don't offend you by saying that.

Kat Thats what I am afraid of. I have seen some pics of the food and it looks ok but not our typical tex-mex that we are used to and I really think that DD1 is going to be disappointed. So far DD2 is having chips and cheese. She doesnt eat much mexican food anyway and usually orders refried beans at home but they are the pinto bean type and not traditional black beans. I'm probably going to regret it but I think I'm stuck with this one- I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. I looked at Spoodles and the menu looks great to me- dont know if the girls will go for it though- I may send them to the pop food court and me and dh have an adult dinner ;) Now that would be a rare treat. The girls are required to attend the entire dance event even if they are not performing but mama and daddy arent required.... so we may be slipping off for some Epcot time anyways.
