Here is what I ate so far today

Breakfast...coffee (in my WDW mug!) with skim milk, one splenda
I was craving carbs this morning so I had a weight watcher bagel (2 pts) with fat free cheese and cut up string cheese..put it in the microwave for 30 sec and its delicious!

Snack: 1/2 cup of fresh cup pineapples

Lunch: spicy tuna roll and 1 cup of edamame!!! filling!!!

Snack: 8 almonds

Dinner: not sure yet..maybe a weight watcher dinner or some grilled chicken with veggies

I did a Firm dvd workout this morning!!!

So take your measurements and write them down (for your own viewing). Your first official weigh day won't be till NEXT friday. I would suggest a hearty "last" meal since tomorrow's weight is your starting weight...but that would be un-PeePish of me. ;)

My meals are the same every day, except for dinner:

Breakfast: Weight Control Oatmeal w/Flax Seed
Mid-Morning Snack: 1 Small Orange
Lunch: Lean Cuisine Spa Meal-Peanut Chicken
Afternoon Snack: 1 Apple
Dinner Tonight Will be: 1 Pear, 1 Apple

I've had about 40 ounces of water so far. Also, I do my daily 45 minutes of cardio and have now added some strength training exercises.

I did measure my body parts last night too. I do not know where I started but I know where I'm at right now so I will measure the progress going forward.

Also, on Monday I'm starting a weight loss challenge for my staff. They have been enjoying the gym I furnished and all except one are really trying to eat healthier. So beginning on Monday, I will pay each of them $10 for every pound they lose from that date forward. I'm hoping to see some lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes for my crew here and not much motivates people more than $$$$$.
 
I just though while we were both there, I could show off my skinny butt to you, not the one I kicked but the one I got while kicking the other one.

I dumped the rest of the not-dogs into my Golden Retreiver's bowl snubbed them.
Dogs who sniff BUTTS and eat maxi pads didn't want my soy dogs. In fact, they gave me a "look" like: :confused:

I actually like soy foods a lot lately...why do you feed your dog your Maxi Pads is a better question???

I'm hoping to see some lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes for my crew here and not much motivates people more than $$$$$.

Can I come work for you???? At $10/pound, that could be some serious cash.....

What a great idea!! I wish you were MY boss.

Although we do have a "wellness" program here. Once you join, you are examined, weighed, body fat. etc. by a nurse and you have bloodwork done. They set certain goals for you. In my case, my bloodwork came back great so it was to lose 5 lbs and to reduce my body fat and blood pressure. I went back every 3 months and once I met my goal, I get a discount on my insurance premium (so as employee-only, saves me about $40/month and basically makes it free). To keep the discount I just have to go back every 6 months and keep a reasonable level of fitness (like, don't gain 30 lbs).

Food so far today:
B: mini-muffins (100), coffee
L: SB Caesar wrap kit (230), salad (80), sf pudding (60).

Not sure yet what I am having for dinner. Did 45 min on the arc trainer at lunch, and have had my 64 painful oz of water.

Luckily, I'm not equipped with male anatomy so it won't hurt too badly.

I'm sure Aaron and DARus winced.:scared: Way to scare off the new guy!

As a Refresher, Here is the Gist of the Challenge:

On Fridays, you'll PM DizneyDawn with your WEIGHT. Not the amount you gained or lost (or samed). In the beginning she also needs your starting weight (last friday ) and your address for the winning magnets. (more on that in a minute)

Our (Team PeeP) normal Fridays will be the same....post in bold how much you gained or lost (or samed) like this: -9 or + .4 or SAME (whatever yours is)
If you forget, I am keeping a spread sheet.

Dizney Dawn will be figuring the percent each of us lost as individuals and as a team. (Because SHE went to math camp, and I did not).

Now, the top 5 people from each team will will determine the winner for the week.

After a month (? or 6 weeks...I'm not clear on the time) the losing teammates will be sending the winners an inexpensive magnet from their state. I'm not sure how many will be sent. IF it's too costly, you can do a postcard instead.
My Walmart has Utah state magnets and they are very cheap. I've also seen them at Hallmark type stationary stores.

This is a friendly competition. We may joke a lot, but we're kidding. Please keep it fun. This is just the ticket some of us were looking for to jump start our efforts. Stale diets are not very fun. Some of us thrive on competition and goal setting!

Please also be supportive of the other team, since we're all on this journey together.

Oh, and WIDisneyFan (Aaron) is in charge of the "Easter Challenge" still going strong. I'm sure we'll all make those goals with this new competition. After that maybe he'll sponsor a new challenge. It's up to him. :flower3:

Please don't hesitate to post everyday stuff. The very things that may seem Off Topic may be sabotaging your diet! Talk them out! Let's get this weight off and KEEP IT OFF!

**Whatever thread you belong to you are a member of..(peep patrol in your case)
The last Friday of the month (28th I believe is this month) will be the end of the month Challenge...

I will break it up so that the losers (team) will never send more than 3 magnets to the winners(team) in any given month... right now the Peeps Patrol has more people in it than the Body Boarders....so if we (Boarders) win this March challenge...the reality is not every Peep will have to send a magnet out...and if the Boarders lose...not every person will have to mail out more than 1 magnet...

I want this to be fun and fair like UM said and I really love the rivalry level we have and will be very proud of whoever does well...

This is interesting as I am teaching percent of a number and percent of change to my class right now. How I love some good numbers.

I'm totally planning on doing another mini-challenge thing again. The only way I'm going to reach my ultimate goal is to keep setting short term goals (like lose 5 pounds by Labor Day, or whatever the next holiday is); that's really the whole point of my mini challenges. I can handle spreadsheets ok, but keeping track of magnets, names, addresses, etc. like Dizney Dawn? Oy veh. Not for me! My house is like a black hole - once something enters, it rarely is seen again!
 
She did not get splotchy. The first time we gave it to her 3 hours later she screamed for what seemed like eternity. The next tiem we did it 3 hours later she started throwing up for about 45 minutes--then she was fine. We even thought she might have a little tummy virus--but later that night when she nursed she was fine. Well last week we gave her a little more because that is all she would take--again 3 hours later she started throwing up--dry heaves and all--she was just so pitiful. She nursed later during the night and was fine. Once she empites her stomache she is fine. Go figure. We had thought about waiting until she was 6 mths and then trying again.

I would be cautious at this point, and maybe try a different grain of ceral. I think the choices are rice, oatmeal, and barley.

Madelyn loves cheerios. Even without any teeth she just eats them up. Can you try tiny pieces to see how she reacts?

Hee Hee! My kitchen counter tops are the black hole in our house. Whatever is in our hands upon entering is piled in this one spot. I call it the "clutter pile". It is the bane of my existence.

I enjoy your mini-goal setting. Last time I lost a bunch of weight, I set 5 pound goals too. I'd say, " I ONLY need to lose 5 pounds" and once I got there, I'd start again. When times have been rough, ONE pound goals were more do-able.

if you don't mind me asking, do you do this for health reasons? the fruit for dinner thing, i mean? i love fruit but i just need MORE for dinner. i wish i could do it!

cleaning house today took ALL DAY LONG. and on top of that i proofread 337 pages of a hearing. yeah, i'm spent.

One last post before bed here. I sent DizneyDawn my info last minute. I'm hoping that the additional pressure of another competition will get these last few pounds off of me.

Dawn For health reasons, I have to stay low fat. So I usually have fruit for dinner every other night. I know, vegetables would be better because they are lower in carbs, but I like fruit better. Dang, if I can't have a great steak, I might as well eat something that I halfway like. So every other night it's fruit and then on the opposite nights it is usually chicken and some vegetables and maybe some wild rice. I would do green salads but I love love love blue cheese and ranch and that kind of defeats the purpose. And without those full-fat dressings, I don't want green salads.

Monica I have some people on my staff who are having health issues that are directly linked to their weight. I work at a food manufacturing company where the smells of pasta sauces and garlic permeate our lives. So everyone who comes to work there gains weight. I care a great deal for my staff and I'm doing whatever I can to assist them to get healthier. All but one are overweight and struggle as I do. I seriously hope I pay out thousands of dollars for pounds lost. I tell them about you guys all of the time. You have helped me so I hope to pay it forward by helping them.

Well.... I consider this morning's weigh a failure. My lowest loss since January 2. I am so depressed. -.8 for me this week. This is not acceptable. I didn't have a big loss last week either, so I expected something more this week. Admittedly, I didn't exercise as much this week as I have been lately, so I am sure that had something to do with it. THere is no way I am going to make my 10 pound goal for March at this rate! Oh well.................................P
