I would be cautious at this point, and maybe try a different grain of ceral. I think the choices are rice, oatmeal, and barley.

Madelyn loves cheerios. Even without any teeth she just eats them up. Can you try tiny pieces to see how she reacts?

Man where were you when I was out working?

We have tried oatmeal once and she refused every bit of it. She might just still have an imature tummy so we are just waiting now. I decided that since she is fine with nursing that is what we will continue.

Hee Hee! My kitchen counter tops are the black hole in our house. Whatever is in our hands upon entering is piled in this one spot. I call it the "clutter pile". It is the bane of my existence.

I enjoy your mini-goal setting. Last time I lost a bunch of weight, I set 5 pound goals too. I'd say, " I ONLY need to lose 5 pounds" and once I got there, I'd start again. When times have been rough, ONE pound goals were more do-able.

OK Team PeePs! Best of Luck to all of you!!!!!!

Glad that there is somone else whose counter is a black hole. I try and try to get rid of it, but it just grows back.
Good night and lots of skinny dreams my peeps!:thumbsup2

Mid terms are over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
:cool1: :thumbsup2

One last post before bed here. I sent DizneyDawn my info last minute. I'm hoping that the additional pressure of another competition will get these last few pounds off of me.

Monica I have some people on my staff who are having health issues that are directly linked to their weight. I work at a food manufacturing company where the smells of pasta sauces and garlic permeate our lives. So everyone who comes to work there gains weight. I care a great deal for my staff and I'm doing whatever I can to assist them to get healthier. All but one are overweight and struggle as I do. I seriously hope I pay out thousands of dollars for pounds lost. I tell them about you guys all of the time. You have helped me so I hope to pay it forward by helping them.

Good luck tomorrow everyone.

I think that this is awesome. I wished i worked for you.

At midnight I got the call I had been dreading for weeks. Christie now has her full miracle and she is home with the Lord. I got a early last night saying that it would be soon. Morning Peeps!

I am down -3 pounds!!! That is a huge weight loss this week especially considering I am doing weight watchers and my weight loss is usually only a pound or half a pound a week!!! (insert pat on the back here!!! ;) ) This morning I weighed in at 136 pounds!!
Maybe by time I get to Disney I will be anywhere in the 120s..Hope Hope!!

Well.... I consider this morning's weigh a failure. My lowest loss since January 2. I am so depressed. -.8 for me this week. This is not acceptable. I didn't have a big loss last week either, so I expected something more this week. Admittedly, I didn't exercise as much this week as I have been lately, so I am sure that had something to do with it. THere is no way I am going to make my 10 pound goal for March at this rate! Oh well.................................P

You hang in there! You hear me?? You are doing totally awesome, :cool1: your efforts are worth every bit of it, and your body will come around. You lost this week. No more .8 of fat on you. It's gone forever! It's showing the rest the way.

Reporting a 2.8lb loss. Wish I knew what I weighed on Friday. This is the difference from Tuesday.

Here's to more numbers in the RED.

Good Morning . I am lost -Onyl 1 pound-

Not that I am making excuses I only joined and started my diet Tuesday.

Since I wasn't here last week I can't officially post a loss for you guys but I weighed in this morning at 212 - down 3 from last friday.

Last night ended well - DH made pasta, sauce and mini meatballs for dinner. I had a slice of apple for snack and I got in a half hour of walking. He also managed to make some tomato and cucumber salad for me to take for lunch today. Now I just have to figure out what I can buy while at work to go with it.

Hi peeps. For those who remember me from way back in the original thread, I'm back. For everyone else, glad to meet you. I took quite a health hiatus and was glad to still see a peeps thread going strong. Last time I was here I had finally gotten down into the 190s but I stopped exercising and caring about what I ate and jumped back up to 220. Finally my husband said something about us really not being healthy and that we should care more about ourselves. So I'm back once again. I really loved the support from this group of people. Here's my plan: control my eating while at work (bfast, lunch and 2 snacks), real soda only once a week, lots of water, formal exercise 3x week and little bits here and there (like taking the stairs in the parking garage).

So far this week has been good except for the exercise bit. Only 1 day so far but I'll try to get working on that tonight.

Welcome back

Hey U-Momma, I just stumbled accross your thread here via Couteau's report and thought I would join. I could use the support. I will have to catch up. We were in WDW the day after you started this one. If you have been to my TR you will know that we upgraded to the Deluxe DP so that made it even worse. :sad2:
Tryin to catch up.:scared1:

Welcome

So sorry. Thinking of the kids.

Well my peeps I'm -1.4 this week.

i'm -1 pound this week. kinda surprised since i haven't exercised at all. i've been typing like a madwoman.....does that count as exercise?

don't forget to send dizneydawn your WEIGHT if you're doing the challenge with the other thread!

Dawn For health reasons, I have to stay low fat. So I usually have fruit for dinner every other night. I know, vegetables would be better because they are lower in carbs, but I like fruit better. Dang, if I can't have a great steak, I might as well eat something that I halfway like. So every other night it's fruit and then on the opposite nights it is usually chicken and some vegetables and maybe some wild rice. I would do green salads but I love love love blue cheese and ranch and that kind of defeats the purpose. And without those full-fat dressings, I don't want green salads.

gotcha! i wish i could do that. i'm so hungry by dinner time though....i always crave more food and something salty.

no.....that's good! at least you lost! that's almost a full pound. if you lost a pound every week for a year you'd lose almost 60 pounds!!!! that's WAY better than losing it too quickly and then gaining it back. as aaron says, slow and steady wins the race.

i'm so sorry to hear this. i knew it was coming but i'm still very sorry for you and christie's family. my prayers are with all of you.

Good Morning . I am lost -Onyl 1 pound-

no excuses needed.....1 pound is good! (see my above post to pjlla.)

well, my appraiser will be here in an hour. time to go make up my bed and jump in the shower. wish me luck! :goodvibes

My mind has been wandering at work this morning while I wait for them to bring the fresh coffee to my floor. I've set up some smaller goals for myself. In 14 weeks DH and I are going to a Jimmy Buffet concert - my mini goal for that concert is to lose 12lbs (200 lbs). Then, about 17 weeks from that date is our disney trip. My goal then is to lose 15 more lbs bringing me to 185 (a number I haven't seen since college). I think those goals should be doable since they don't require me to lose more than 1lb a week. What do you guys think?

Of course typing is excerise. I'm excerising right now as we "speak":goodvibes

Those goals are great. Small goals work for me too. I had some issues in the past couple of weeks but now I'm in full force. What out to those other people.

Punkin - good luck on your appraisal.

Good luck! Do you know where they will pull comps from? I always looked at those areas to have an idea what to expect.

I am down -.75 Anything is better than nothing.

Hee Hee! My kitchen counter tops are the black hole in our house. Whatever is in our hands upon entering is piled in this one spot. I call it the "clutter pile". It is the bane of my existence.
Don't get me started on the kitchen counter pile-o-crap! My wife has some sort of emotional attachment to this thing. As soon as I start going through it, she cautions me to not throw anything away until she has a chance to look at it first. Yeah, like she'll really miss that Improvements catalog from 2 months ago sitting at the bottom of this pile.

Good Morning . I am lost -Onyl 1 pound-
Enough of that stinkin' thinkin', both of you! I am living proof that small losses can add up. I've managed to lose over 70 pounds, mostly with losses under 2 pounds. Yes, I've had the occasional 3 pound loss, but mostly it is with ones just like what you've had this week. Don't let shows like The Biggest Loser fool you into thinking you have to lose 7 pounds a week to be successful. I love that show, but the way they mope around after losing "only" 5 pounds makes me sad. To paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "a loss is a loss, no matter how small". And here's another of my favorite quotes, just for good measure...

"Never discourage anyone... who continually makes progress, no matter how slow." - Plato

Speaking of which, I lost 0.6 pounds this week. That loss puts me under 170 for the first time, well since before I could drive that's for sure; and probably since I thought girls were "icky". So if I can maintain this for the next two weeks, I'll have finally succeeded at one of these goals that I subject myself (and others) to. This loss brings me to a grand total of 46.6 pounds lost since January 2007, and an uber-grand total of 70.6 pounds lost since I finally took control of my weight in early 2005. This also represents a 29.42% weight loss from my original starting weight of 240. Yowza.

Have a great day everyone, and GO TEAM PEEP!!!

Well..i am DOWN 1.6 ...yay! Now if i can lose again next week anything more than .2 i will be at my lowest weight in over 2 years!! i still have a ways to go..but hey..it would be nice!!

Also, on Monday I'm starting a weight loss challenge for my staff. They have been enjoying the gym I furnished and all except one are really trying to eat healthier. So beginning on Monday, I will pay each of them $10 for every pound they lose from that date forward. I'm hoping to see some lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes for my crew here and not much motivates people more than $$$$$.
That sounds great!

I'm totally planning on doing another mini-challenge thing again. The only way I'm going to reach my ultimate goal is to keep setting short term goals (like lose 5 pounds by Labor Day, or whatever the next holiday is); that's really the whole point of my mini challenges. I can handle spreadsheets ok, but keeping track of magnets, names, addresses, etc. like Dizney Dawn? Oy veh. Not for me! My house is like a black hole - once something enters, it rarely is seen again!
I hear ya! i am all set with just the little mini goals..:)---i just read your post..GOOD FOR YOU!! :) again..so inspiring!!
