DISappearing PEEPS Volume 2

i prepaid quarterly taxes and i still owe $1800. it wouldn't have been so bad except DH changed his filing status at work when they changed payroll companies and didn't tell me. so he didn't pay in as much this year. he's changing that next week!

am i the only one who gets frustrated when they change the smilies??? every time i get used to them, they change them around. and is this a "smoking a doobie" smilie???? ---->

I just finished the taxes and then worked with the kids to fill out financial aid forms (I doubt we will qualify; CA cost of living is so high, so our wages reflect that, but financial aid doesn't take that into account). DS's reg fees for this year were higher than can be deducted on taxes, and next year we will have 2 in college, and the deduction is the same . I have to admit I got so frustrated at one point, I ate 3 peppermint jo-jos (it's like an oreo with pieces of candy cane in it). I did write it down though, so I stopped at 3.

Heather, I am so sorry to hear about Christie. DS lost a dear friend to leukemia in 4th grade, and I always remember him saying, "I thought she would get better." It's so hard to come to terms with letting go. I am praying for you and all who love Christie, and also that Christie will soon be resting in the loving arms of our merciful God.

Heather, I am so sorry to read about your friend Christie. You and her family are in my thoughts and prayers. My heartbreaks for her children and husband. Thankfully, it sounds like they have alot of friends to help support them during this time.

For everyone who is sick or who has sick kids, hang in there, the flu season is almost over.

Sorry I was MIA for a few days. All 4 of us got the flu My grandfather is doing well and we find out today what they are going to do about the gall stones and kidney stones. My Aunt had her back surgery on Tuesday (put medal rods on both sides of her spine among other things) and she did well. We had a scare this weekend becasue she tarted having chest pain and couldn't breath. She was admitted to the hospital again with Pleurasey (Spelled wrong I am sure). They are letting her go h ome today. Let's hope everyone is on the mend now.

ON the diet front I am strating anew today. I have done well with fod but exercise has been out of the question. I hit the gym tonight.

I have a lot to read to catch up.

Oh Heather, I am so sorry to hear that about Christi. Our preacher preached a great sermon on death last night. It came at a great time because one of our church secretaries husband had a brain aneurysm on Saturday, and is very lucky to be recovering from surgery. It still makes it very hard when you know the end is near. So here is a great big for you and Christi's family. I will continue to pray for all of you.

Hey Peeps

I dont know when my bridal shower is but I'm helping my mom plan it I want it to have a disney theme to it. I'm looking for a centerpiece we can use on the table that would be disney theme. any ideas..i was thinking of an edibile cookie centerpiece with mickey and minnie anyone know where i could purchase them?

any other ideas would be awesome!

what would be a cute disney favor to give out too?

My friends got married this past June and for their shower we made Chocolate ( white, dark and milk) castle lollipops! They were super cute and for a centerpiece you can always get a foam something and stick them in to make an edible centerpiece full of Cinderellas Castle.
We also had candy bar wrappers made that said " happily ever after" with the castle motife on them..it was so cute.

( just flying by...back to work and the real world..i had fun on my Maine trip but it was not relaxing at all...i will post a mini report sometime this week!)
