Hi all,

Woah, I am late checking in this week, sorry! I dont know where the time went!

I am -1lb this week. Sadly, Im 1lb off my valentines goal, but not to worry.

Aaron - could you please put me down for -5lb for the next challenge. Thank you!

 to anyone who needs them, :) to everyone else!

As usual, you folks have be chatty while I was gone. Glad to hear that so many of you were "losers" this week. For the rest of you... keep going! As long as you are eating healthy and moving, you are heading in the right direction!

Sorry to hear about the shootings in Illinois. I can hardly stand to hear about things like that... it makes me feel like the world is so out of control and makes me fear for my kids futures.

My home scale shows me with a 5 lb. loss this week! I am so excited.... but I hope it "sticks" for next week! But I have been so good this week with my eating and exercising, that I shouldn't be too surprised.

See you all later........................P

5 pounds is awesome! :cheer2:

And sorry for the late post, but I am down 2.6 lbs this week - finally!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:

oh that IS good news!!!! Keep up the good work! I've been "saming" "gaining" or "inching" for the last month so I totally need to get-it-ON! What did you do differently? I need a little push.

Well, it's probably better we're not meeting this time. DH, DD and i all have headaches, chills, sore throats, and generally feel blecchy. It won't stop us from going. However, I'm not setting the alarm for tomorrow, and we'll just be leaving town when we're all ready. It's killing me, but i think we need the rest. We will have to have a meet sometime. Keep it in mind.

See you all Wednesday night. UM, I'm skipping the corn dog this time. I have to draw the line somewhere.

I'm off to Disneyland!

I SHOULD have skipped the corndog! :lovestruc I just love DL's corndoggy goodness...put I paid a BIG price (up 2.2 pounds this week!!!)

Have fun Danielle!

Got it . Better late than never!

I'll be tallying next...this week the grand total is up over 200!

two things:

1. i FINALLY got the pictures from spa day from anna! i did a little mini TR in my pre-TR. here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=23225615&postcount=393

you must check it out because some of the pictures are really funny! and be sure to read the second page of it (linked at the bottom of the first one) because the funniest part is in that second page! i had to do two posts because i had so many pictures. :rolleyes1
around my living room while hitting the cow bell! :rotfl2:
Very funny! :goodvibes

I got the job!!! I am SO excited! I'll tell y'all more about it next week. I will know more then.

That Uno is SO cute! But not as cute as my beagle. ;) Or Dawn's, for that matter.

And I am watching AI! I am into it now that we know who we're gonna be watching for the rest of the season.

The books have been coming out one at a time, but it has been a while since the AK one was released (the last one). Not sure why they haven't done the Studios one yet.
Congratulations on getting the job! :goodvibes

Uno is very cute, but not as cute as my dog, (or my aunt's dogs,) LOL.

I haven't seen a single episode of AI yet, which is weird because usually I watch that pretty regulary.

I don't get why they didn't go an MGM book. :confused3

hey, peeps! it's a beautiful, sunny day here......feels like spring! :cloud9: and just thursday it was like 30 degrees outside. general lee (the georgia groundhog) did not see his shadow this year, so i'm hoping for an early spring!

DH went to the doctor yesterday because his foot's been hurting him again and found out he has gout. they gave him a steroid and an anti-inflammatory. he said they both made him feel funny.....kinda jumpy. they both have the word "meth" in the name so that kinda freaks me out a little. anyway, we're gonna have to monitor his diet to see if something in particular is making his gout flair up.

hope you guys have a wonderful, peep-like weekend! i've gotta work tonight.....mama needs to buy cirque tickets for her trip!

Took DS to see The Spiderwick Chronicles tonight. It was good....a little scary...if you're 7ish. And NOTHING like the book! Bummer! Because we read them all. Oh well.
That is the movie DS12 wants to see this weekend.I will warn him,he has read all the books too.

I read it and it sounds like a blast.:goodvibes Loved all the pictures!
Hi All! Just checking in to say that I am a SAMER. I've been at this same weight for almost a month now. I am exercising, and trying to be careful about what I eat, but to no avail. I am getting discouraged, but I am loving my new workout routine. I am really enjoying the running. I am ready to run another race, just have to figure out which one.
Allie, don't give up. Make sure you are eating enough and it will all happen eventually.
Mal spiked a fever again. She just finished her anti-biotic yesterday. I hope it worked and she's not relapsing.
16 lbs is awesome!! And I hope Mal heals quickly..

YUCK! I just ate (drank) an Atkins Advantage Chocolate Royale Shake for breakfast. It's not bad tasting but has the texture and consistency of snot.

Calories 160
fat 9 g.
carb. 6 g.
fiber 4g.
protein 15g.
sodium 110 (is that too high?)

I wonder if I put it in a blender with ice if it would help. I bought 6, so 5 left.

I have my menu planned for today with a good balance of salad, chicken, steamed veggies, an apple, a yogurt, and water water water.

My DH used to drink those alot but I agree with you..:scared:
Don't know about the sodium but it doesn't sound too high..:confused3
It always helps to have a day planned..:thumbsup2

Gross! :scared: I guess the ice couldn't hurt, could it?

I made lentil soup this morning. I used 2 cups chicken broth, an envelope of Lipton veggie soup mix, some veggies from the freezer, and a pound of lentils. I also threw in some fresh baby spinach towards the end.

The lentils are 80 calories per serving...10 gr. protein....11 gr. fiber....so I figure the soup is around 120ish calories per serving?

For dessert, a fiber one key lime yogurt parfait....layered fiber one, flax seed, and the F1 yogurt. 210 cal....23 gr. fiber.

I'm full.

Punkin I hope you guys figure out what is causing the gout to flare up.

Monica--how is MAL?? Have you seen the Dr. yet today? Hope she is ok.

Joshua put our Dish Network remote in the sink last night. Yes, it was full of water. I did not realize that is where it was for another 4 hours when I went to clean up bottles and such. Not happy. It will turn on the tv but do nothing else. Have to order a new one.

Hope that everyone has a great day.

Sounds good.:goodvibes I have been eating the FiberOne yogurt too but without flax seed.

Well, I've been, for the most part, saming over the past 6 months or so. :headache: So frustrating! I lost what I gained on the Sept WDW trip, and I've pretty much been the same since then. In November, a friend and I started walking for 30 minutes at lunch, 4 days a week. On top of that, I've been riding the bike for 40-55 minutes a day, 3 days a week, and every other week, I run Jasper at agility class. In January, we did get a treadmill, so sometimes I've been replacing the bike with the treadmill. I had stopped writing things down. I was just keeping track in my head of where I was calorie-wise for the day. I'm sure I missed some things, but I'm not sure it was that much. However, I did start tracking calories, water intake, exercise, and weight in a spreadsheet at the beginning of February. Josh decided to start exercising and counting calories too, so I wanted to keep better track myself. And now I see the loss. I don't know if it's because I've started eating more different foods, I've been tracking things closer, or I've just started telling myself I CAN do it. (Because I felt like for so long that I was stuck)

Josh did want us to set a goal, with a reward for our May trip. For every size we go down by May 1st, we get $500 to spend on clothes, and if we both get down 2 sizes (pretty much our ultimate goals, though I may want to go 1 size further if I still feel like I can), we each get a bonus $500, so if I get down into a 14, by May 1st, and Josh gets down to a 38 (I think), we both get $1500 to get new clothes, etc. And we'll go to Chicago to go shopping that weekend. Here's the thing... It's not likely all that will happen. I don't feel overly confident I can get down into a 14 by then. It isn't much time. I'm almost down to a 16. I'd say I have about 10-15 lbs to go maybe? I'm already there at Old Navy, and I can get them on at New York & Co., but the waist is too tight, and my fat bulges out at the top. So, I am pretty confident I can reach that goal by the time we leave in May, but I'm not at all confident I can go an entire size down beyond that. And I told Josh that. I think that's why he made the stakes so high for our goal. He's in sales, and he's used to having these enormous goals put in front of him, along with these big rewards. He finds it motivating. I do too, to an extent. We had to work together to come up with a compromise that worked for both of us. And I think we did a great job. Now I AM motivated. So maybe getting my head back into it is what made the difference. I'm not really sure, but I'm trying to be confident, without getting TOO confident now. Because I know it'd be a huge let down if I end up right back up at the same place where I was last week when I weigh in next week. I guess we'll see how it goes come next Friday. Anyway, that was a really long-winded way of saying I'm not sure what made the difference, but that's what has changed.

Oh! I'm gonna have to save that recipe. I bought lentils a long time ago because I like them, but I have no idea what to do with them. The soup and the yogurt both sound good!

So, today is the day my friend usually comes over and brings her puppy, and my friend and I goof off (watch movies or other DVDs, play with iTunes, surf the web, etc.) while our dogs expend each other's energy. It's great! :rotfl: Well, she's sick today, so I'm getting a lot done! I've put together a table we got last weekend at Ikea and put some magazines into some baskets (also from Ikea) and straightened up a bit. I'm about to be on my 3rd load of laundry, I've had a healthy breakfast and lunch, I'm catching up and actually posting a lengthy post on this thread!, and my dog is getting "floor time", meaning we have started moving her gate (She usually is just in the kitchen.) to block off the dining room where the cat's food and litter box are, and letting her roam the house while we're home, and she's being SO good! This is a huge accomplishment for her. She's actually starting to listen to us!  , although she's choosing to fall asleep on the couch right now instead of playing. I think she misses her friend, Dutchess. But I'm so thrilled that she can be in the living room with us when we're here without having to be in one of our laps because she wouldn't stop going to the cat's food and, even worse, litter box! :scared: And we've even devised a way for the cat to be able to get back and forth without Jasper being able to! :thumbsup2

Anywho, I better go for now. I've gotta finish up some tidying of the coffee table and move the laundry over. Josh and I are going out for sushi tonight, and to see Fool's Gold, as our belated V-day celebration. I'll try to check back in later on. Hope everyone's having a Peep-alishous weekend! :)

We just got a new remote through Dish and all I said, it was not working. Due to a special promotion they were running it was free. I was prepared to pay booko bucks and it wound up free.

Mal has just something viral. Poor thing. One thing after the other. Her ears were clear, her throat was red, but was neg. for strep.

Thanks for asking.

I used garden grocer last summer. It worked out great. I ordered water and snacks and stuff. We got to the hotel around 6pm and had dinner reservation at 8pm. So we checked in, dumped our stuff in the room, freshened up and went to dinner. I had checked before we left with the front desk to see if my order had been delivered and they did not know but when we got back to the room there was my order waiting for me. We ordered 48 bottles of water which saved a lot. I thought it was a good service.

have any of you used gardengrocer to order food and stuff for your trip?

Yes! I love that Brian guy. Very helpful! I got little bottles of Tide and Downey, Pepsi, bottled water (too heavy to fly with), snacks, and some other things. Worth it!!!! If they bring it when you're not there, Bell Services will hold it all for you and deliver it to you.

Good reputation and a great service. I'd recommend them whole heartedly. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I just wasted an hour of my time looking at the Rest. boards for anything on Cape May.

Has anyone eaten there?

Any comments.

It reads on the dining planning section, American buffet and clam bake. What does that entail. I need details.

DH and I are going at it about the dining plan. Not sure if it's worth it anymore.

Any comments from those who went in 2008? Did you use the plan. Was it worth it?

DH just wants to pay out of pocket now. I'm on the fence and don't know what to do.

We are on the fence as well. One being the way it is set up and 2 trying to figure out if it is worth taking the baby and Joshua (not really a good age for eating out) to TS.

Monica. We pay OOP. But then we are annual passholders and do have the DDE for some sort of discount. I've analyzed the various DDP's forward and backward and just can't come up with an answer that makes it work for us.

We have stayed at both BC and YC but have never eaten at anything but the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I've heard good things about the clambake though.

When Mal was 10 months old on her first trip to WDW, we took her all over and did a table service each day. Just at the Aloha dinner show she had to be held, no high chair. :sad2: She was a great baby, and then when she was 2 we went again, she still was a great toddler. Never gave us any trouble. You just have to "know" your kid. I'm sure you do.

I am just interested in more of whats on the menu. I have kids who won't touch seafood, a husband who's iffy about it. I LOVE SEAFOOD and would love to eat here. I just want to make sure the rest of my family will all have something they like.

OH!

Thanks for posting about the garden grocer. I think we are not going to go with the plan. So then I was thinking, well I'll have to ship some stuff down cause it was hard packing all those extra's in the suitcases last trip.

I thought their prices were reasonable. I did a mock shopping list to see what I think we'll need, they have diapers! and cases of water! that is a huge help. We went through almost 2 cases of water last trip. I'm looking for easy peasy. If we are paying out of pocket, I need some stuff to have around that's handy.
