Okay, Peeps... as promised, I am here when anything significant happens in my life.

Well, this was pretty significant. I went on my first date in over 20 years... and now I have a tale (I have been told by several people, including our own harley) that is the best first date story EVER! Guaranteed to give you a great ab workout from laughing!!!

Harley thinks Utah and the rest of you will have a field day with this one. If you would like the details, just let me know... I can either e-mail or PM them to you. :thumbsup2

And, get yourself a TIVO or DVR. (got one from dish network free) I now never miss an episode of anything. With BB, it is very helpful because I can never remember what days and times that show is on! And I tivoed alot of the regular season of sitcoms and stuff I never remember to watch. Now on a rainy day I can veg out in front of my TV and watch episode after episode of 'new' shows ;) When Amanda cooperates :rotfl:
I actually just got one for the first time last Friday when my cable was hooked up. So I'm not quite used to is, and a lot of times I'll forget to set shows to record. But I do love pausing TV so my wife and I don't have to argue who has to miss part of the show we are watching in order to let the dog out. Now we just have to hit that pause button, and we won't miss a thing. I have to make a mental note to set Big Brother to record when I get home tonight.

You will soon love yours as much as I do I bet! I have the option on mine to choose if I want it to record all new episodes, weekly, daily...whatever. So for BB I set it for all new episodes and it has to remember the day and time instead of me.:rotfl:

I Wanna hear!!!! Are they too juicy to post?

Finally, a topic on here that I actually know something about - how a man's brain works!!! Let me reassure you that nothing could be farther from the truth. Now, I will admit that SOME men do think that way. But those are the immature ones that you would want nothing to do with anyway. The really good, honest, decent guys that you can bring home to your parents quickly look past any imperfections that you have on the outside to see the perfections on the inside. And quite frankly, I think a lot men like women with a few curves. Personally, nothing is more unattractive to me than a woman who is a size 10 and looks at herself in the mirror and thinks "I am so fat". It just turns my stomach. Don't you worry. Your Prince Charming is out there, and he'll love you for who you are AND because of how you look!

Do you have a brother? Preferably unmarried with a slight TV obsession and a love of dogs?

Seriously, thanks for confirming that the "good guys" do exist!

Now back to my regularly scheduled insanity --> Back in college my roommate and I had this theory about the nice, date-able, marriage-able guys. We knew that there were some out in the world. Proof existed. Friends and family members had found them. [[<<Hushed/Reverent Tones>> "They do exist..." <<a la the M&M commercials]].

Well, one late night we got to thinking (alcohol may have been involved) and decided that these "good guys" were kept in captivity until a certain age and then released (now you see where the alcohol was involved -- or maybe it's the level of insanity). The catch is that you must be close to the gate when they are released to "snatch" them up... HMM have I shared too much?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GAYLE!!!!

party: :dancer: :bday: :jumping1:

I know no one remembers me....:sad2:

My name is Stacey. I am the mother of an All Star baseball player. I am employed full time at our church as the preschool director, small group director, etc.... I am a full-time grad student. And I am still fat.

Sorry I have been MIA this summer. Jackson finally finished baseball. We ended up third in the state. It was bittersweet. I just wanted to check in with everyone. I have informed my family that we have got to get back on track with our health. We have a big wedding coming up in GA - next week. Then summer camp. I am going to try to start weighing in again. I need the accoutability.

Hello to all the new people - I am sure there are many.

Happy birthday to all the birthdays I missed. :flower3:
Hey there Congrats to your son , i am not on here a whole lot either but i am trying to at least jump on 2x's a day so i do not get too far behind.
:rolleyes1

I love this! Do you or your friends happen to know where this cage is that they are holding all the perfect men? I may need to take a trip there.

But seriously, thank you SOOOOO much for your kind words. Deep down I know that I'm being irrational and that someone that I love is out there and will love me back, unconditionally. But those undeserving, I'm not worthy feelings still sneak in no matter how much I tell them to shut up. As far as this specific guy goes, I'm not sure how things will work out. Everyone gives me different pieces of advice and then the next day they tell me something different. And my gut tells me a completely different thing every day about what to do. All I know is that he is a great guy and I'm definitely interested in him. I can't make those feelings just go away so I'm going to enjoy them. It's nice. It's even nicer when those feelings are reciprocated. ;)

I told my girlfriend that in college I usually met most of the guys I dated at a party or something where I had a little alcohol in me to relax me and not make me such a robot. Her suggestion was to bring a flask to school and drink away, just making sure to brush really well before my sessions :rotfl2: I obviously would never do that but that would make things so much easier :rotfl:

And Phoebe did a great job today! I am so proud to be her mama. One of the girls is a little sensitve to noise and immediately was turned off by her size...she was anticipating a huge bark. Well about 5 minutes into it, she barked. A small bark, but a bark nonetheless. Well that did it, my professor had to go in the other room with her. She wasn't mad at me though. Dogs bark...and she was just getting my attention, nothing outrageous. But J, my troubled camper, LOVED her and kept wanting to rest her feet on Phoebe's back, to which Phoebe could care less. And she made another camper laugh and smile with all her dog kisses. She was a hit! They even mentioned having her coming in again someday before camp is over. Yay Phoebe!

I did get some yucky news today. Remember way back when I submitted a proposal to go to the national convention for speech pathologists and present? Well I finally heard back from them...and I was rejected. Huge bummer. I was actually way more upset than I thought I would be. I haven't told my supervisor yet though because he wasn't in and I wanted to tell him in person. Oh well. It's still good that he asked me to write it.

So that was my day. Talk about crazy. Now I need to get a quick bite to eat and cram because I have a final in an hour online. Wish me luck!

about the vallet thing....gimme a break! to use a line from "tommy boy," hi, i'm earth....have we met???

my sister (i'm sure you guys remember the drama that's been happening this past week with her!) just posted a new blog on myspace and i just had to share it with you guys. she just amazes me.....

-------------
I love life...Yeah, I'm sad, but at the same time, I'm really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It's like... It makes me feel alive, you know. It makes me feel human. The only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt something really good before. So I have to take the good with the bad.
-------------

hope you guys have a good day! i'm off to atlanta for another deposition.

I loved what your sister wrote! Very insightful. She sounds so sweet. I hope she is doing well.

Since I know you are a fan I wanted to tell you what I saw on the live feed last night. Amber and Dustin were playing tetherball and Dustin hit the ball and it hit Amber in the cheek. It didn't look like it was a big deal. I'm sure it didn't feel good but nothing to freak out about. Well, she went on and on about it for at least an hour. She had to tell everyone what Dustin did to her (like it was on purpose). She made him feel so guilty. (I can't close my mouth correctly, I am going to look so bad for the show on Thursday,.....). I felt really bad for him! Then Evel Dick and Joe started teasing him about it. I thought he was going to cry. He got her some ice and she was laying on the couch outside while he held it to her cheek complaining the whole time. If this is how she reacts to her closest ally in the house what is going to happen to her enemies? I think she is going to end up being hard to deal with. Sorry that was so long!!:happytv:

Good Morning everyone...

Its wednesday- that means we are half way through this week!! :woohoo: It amazes me how fast the weeks go, and even how faster the weekends fly by. You wait and wait- then you dont know where they went.

Well just venting here...yesterday was HORRIBLE!! Its that TOM so of course im cranky and my body just feels no good...so all i wanted to do was lay in bed after work. Well of course i decided to throw ww out the window for the day. It wasnt TERRIBLE, but i can guarentee they werent the best decisions. popcorn:: (lots of white bread and some ben and jerrys!!) But maybe thats what a girl needs during this TOM., right?? :rolleyes1 Any ways, spending the evening in bed watching tv was probably the best thing ive done in a long time. Its nice to do that and not have anything to do!!

Although i did try to call WDW and change one of my ADR's...i wanna get an earlier reservation then the one i have at Coral Reef in Sept, any suggestions??? it's tough with the free dining... we have an 8pm and i dont want to miss illuminations at 9pm, so im trying to bump it to a lil earlier... :confused3

Well im off to attempt this work day... just hoping it flies by. :surfweb: Gotta get back on track with the WW. Doesnt help that some kind fellow employee bought in boxes of donuts and left them sitting out in the kitchen :rolleyes1

Hope you all have a great day!!

Food at work is always such a temptation! We are always having a carry-in for one thing or another. I am also doing weight watchers by the way. (I have the kit and I am doing it at home.) As for the ADR's are you wanting to stay in Epcot? Would you be able to do a Coral Reef lunch and a CS dinner? You might have a better chance of changing it to a lunch time. For CS I really like Mexico. World of Nations has so many good food choices though!

And, get yourself a TIVO or DVR. (got one from dish network free) I now never miss an episode of anything. With BB, it is very helpful because I can never remember what days and times that show is on! :

I love my DVR!! I do the same thing, I record a bunch of things and then sometimes on the weekends I have my own marathon. I love fast forwarding through the commercials.:thumbsup2
