GOOD MORNING!
Back at you girlfriend!!
TARA....on the skinny pants!!! Way to go!
Thumbs up!! (I think I've totally quoted too many and will have a "smmiley" issue!!)
BEE..... Thinking of you! adding hugs!
I think you could try the goal weight calories first and if that doesn't seem like enough for you right now, you could pick an intermediate weight goal to start with. The last thing you want to do is put your body in starvation mode. If the body thinks that calories are in short supply, it will slow down the metabolism to hang on to the weight. I think I lost sort of 2 pds/week to start and about 1 pd/week towards the end. The closer you get to the goal weight, the slower it comes off. Try to find some healthy foods that you love (plus water & fiber) and it'll be easy.
YAY!!Congratulations! Thank you for your insight!! and experience!
Between your story and Jen's I feel I must finally come out of the closet and admit....I don't ever want another dog! We have an almost 16 yr old fox terrier who has lost her hearing, almost all of her eyesight and most certainly her equalibrium. We took her on a one-year lease. DH's neice was traveling to China for a year and needed someone to keep the dog while she was gone. Well...she never came back to get her and that was 12 years ago. Anyway, this dog used to do some of the same poop eating kind of things as your dogs. Don't get me wrong...I love other people's dogs...just don't want another one. Gotta say I miss having a dog - when its the "good" side of dogs.. but I keep remembering the clean up, the vet bills, the food, the clean up...
Is he OK, Heather?Thinking of you - I quoted you so I'll respond down there!
YAY!!! Don't think too hard....booking for free dining ends next weekend.
That sounds DELICIOUS! I really like the meat substitute and I LOVE sloppy joe's!
Really book now, you can cancel!! Not sure if the OKW you can all purchase Dining Plan - we also did that last year, we rented points and paid for DDP - then spent the weekend at WL - and had to buy the one day base tickets to get free dining - it was all about DISNEY MATH - I have no idea if I spent more money this way, or saved anything??????? lol...
WHERE IS SANDY??? Who me?
IS DENE LURKING OUT THERE ANYWHERE?
Dene I was totally thinking of you this weekend!!
LURKING PEEPS.....COME OUT AND VISIT!
HAVE A GREAT DAY, ONE AND ALL!
That sounds so delicious!!I'm hoping Sandy is well! Shoot, I think she was abducted by aliens or something. It's snot like her! istoo!
And I totally miss Dene too.
Heyyyy, I'm going to that "My Girlfriend's Kitchen" again on Wednesday!![]()
A freezer stocked with good food that I don't have to prep or dirty dishes is my cupoftea!
Good Morning Peeps!
Hope you all had a nice weekend. Spent mine at mom's pool. Beautiful day for floating- cant say swimming as I dont get off the float. Did the cookout thing. All in all a great day.
Tara- congrats on the skinny pants. Hope your horse is all better too.
Kat- yippie on the magic of the scale!
Wonders- I dont have any real suggestions except that Mom has gotta leave the room. Kids always do better without the parent around. I dont think the problem is with the child having separation anxiety as it is the mother.
VEry wise advice - I know its harder on momma than the kid - but some kids do need an adjustment period, its like they feel IF they have fun, but mom expects me to have problems - am I disloyal by enjoying myself??? Kids are complicated!!
I was just skimming through and I know there was discussion about having children or not- Some of the people I encounter in my work have child after child after child without means to take care of them or desire to take care of them. Dont let anybody make you feel guilty for your personal decisions.HERE HERE!! Very wise... I feel like my dd is an only child - her brothers are 21, and 19 - she's going in 5th grade, its so hard - I dont like being her playmate...

Just want to continue adding love and hugs!!

Have a great day!
This reminds me of Lynda's home!! Love those colors!!Thanks for the info! I was checking out exercise balls this weekend, and I came across one that also has these resistance bands for working your arms and chest. I get bored very easily with exercise routines, so it would be nice to have a few different options at my disposal.
Love the exercise ball - and all the great suggestions people posted for you!! I dont know If I'd go the route of the ball with the bands - but I've tried it - it may work out better for you... One other great ball exercise is to sit on your tummy - and have your hands walk forward - to at least your knees, work it to your ankles and do push ups this way!!
Thank you! These sound great, and I'm intending on starting them sometime this week! As I said before, I get bored quickly with exercise routines, so if/when I get an exercise ball I'll probably alternate between this kind of exercise and the ball.
There are also a few great easy stand up ab routines... so hard to describe tho...
I hear that! When we were picking out colors for our new house, we couldn't decide on colors for the two spare bedrooms. Someday they'll be kids rooms, so we wanted to get something unisex so we wouldn't have to repaint. We looked and looked and couldn't find what we liked. Then we found the Disney Colors and that made our choices a lot easier. We ended up with Pooh's Corner (a pastel green) for one bedroom, and Dandelions for Roo (a light yellow) for the other room. Although I just think it was easier to choose because our options were limited when only looking at the Disney colors.
He is doing much better---at 11:00 he started perking up some and then decided to go to bed. Joshua annoyed him this morning and I get the feeling that all is well. It could have been just a combination of events yesterday. I think he got himself all worked up over the stitches and plus I am sure from the way his head looked--it hurt like you know what. I brought him to school with me todya and he is not happy about it--so I think we are in the clear.
Only 4 more day of summer school after this![]()
Thank goodness he is doing better this morning!OT--I had mentioned earlier today that older DS fell at church and hit his haed pretty hard on a corner of a chair. He had to get three stitches over his eye and that is fine, but he is just not acting like himself. He is just tired and hasn't eaten much. When he did eat at supper it was very little and now he is sick to his stomach. Do you think this could all be related? We have never had a head injury before so I do not know what to think. Thanks for the advice.
i'm *playing* with the idea of taking one of my best friends to WDW for her 30th birthday. her birthday is not until november, so it would be an early b-day present if we went in september, but totally worth it for the free dining. it would be a quickie trip, like just the weekend. like i said, i'm just playing with the idea. does anyone know if there's still nothing available at any of the value resorts the weekend of 9/21? or is anyone looking for a couple of female roommates for that weekend?
i would've posted this over on the peep meet thread, but i don't think everyone checks it regularly.

One of my friends just booked Music for that weekend on Friday...worth a try if you want to still go to a value. (Not sure if eventer ever said if she for sure had room for you or not though)
Well, I managed to get through the night without killing my DH so I guess it will all be ok. He owes me an appology and I am sure I wont get one. Something I have come to learn with him in the past 10 or so years is he is not a man of many words, especially words that may mean something was his fault or he did something wrong![]()
Not much new here today. Yucky weather means no pool, which means BIG temptations here. We have tons of leftover cake in the fridge (chocolate with a cookies and cream filling that was fantastic if I do say so myself!) I am trying to find something to get us out of the house. I have no money for shopping though and that is what DD and I do best![]()
I think my dog has a coldFor the past few days she has been sneezing a ton and doing what I call the "horse" sound where she kind of snorts air out of her nose. Other than that she is acting like her normal crazy self. How could I tell if she really does have a cold? Do dogs need to see a doc for a cold?
She's acting fine but this sneezing thing is out of control. She does it as soon as she gets outside and throughout the house. We did put some new potpourri in a bowl - do dogs get allergies?
Anyway, thanks for the advice.
I heard somewhere that if a dogs nose is NOT wet it means that they are sick enough to need a vet. Not sure how true that is. If it was me I wold wait it out a day or two but I don't even know if the wet nose theory is true. lol. Hope the pup is feeling better soon!

Shannon, I think my cat was allergic to the new carpet in an old apartment of mine... she had the same symptoms for about the first 2 weeks that we were there. Could also have been a cold due to the stress of the move.
I broke down and ordered from disneyshopping today. I got
http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1203288&langId=-1&categoryId=20603
and
http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1203357&langId=-1&categoryId=20603
I also got DH the matching board shorts to the mickey hana set. Total, w/ DVC promo code and shipping, $66.![]()
I ordered both in a 10, since my friend MaryLynn would up with an 8 (after a few returns) and she is really a 12, and the measurements are plastered all over ebay as running at least 2 sizes too big. I am closer to a 16 than a 14, but I am fitting into some of my 14s now and plan to continue to lose, so I went smaller. Here's to hoping they fit!!
Horses can get allergies so I am sure dogs can too!! Perhaps you could give her/him a Benedryl?? My friend used to give them to her cat??![]()
45 days, I thinkdoes anyone know off the top of their head what the deadline is for cancelling a disney trip without any penalties?

i have a dumb question. does anyone know off the top of their head what the deadline is for cancelling a disney trip without any penalties? the girl i'm thinking of going with tends to cancel a lot, so i want to be sure to give her the exact date she has to cancel until so she is very aware of it! thanks!
