I actually remember that picture.

Way to go ladies! Great Job!

That's about 6 pounds under my total weight gain for the last 7 months.:scared1:

We changed the baby's name, again, so for mine and my DH sanity I'm not posting it until she comes so we don't go through this again.
I go to the Dr. Monday for my "official ultrasound" amd I am not looking forward to weigh in. I have not been good this past 2 weeks. I am hoping that something has sprouted on the ultrasound, but I seriously dought it. WE are using Rebekah Rhea. At least for now that is what it is. You do not have much longer.
Hi everybody! I have been driving DD(15) to and picking her up from parties all day....and I'm not done! She actually has 3 sweet 16 parties to go to today. The first was from 2-8, so she went to that from 2 to 4:30 so she could make it to the next one which goes from 5 to 9. I'll pick her up from that one at 7:30 so she can go to the next one at 8:00. That one is actually from 6-11, so she'll be late for that one! What a crazy day. After each party she comes home to change. The first one was casual in the girls backyard, shorts and tank top sorta party, the one she is at now is dressy, she's wearing a beautiful pink satiny cocktail dress. The next party is a pool party (swimming, not a pool hall ;) ) It's all pretty funny. I'm taking a picture of her before each party!

That is funny----at least you know where she is and such. I hope that she has had a blast.

Not too shabby a week, peeps!

33.5 pounds lost!

(that's aprx.)

Newbies- How'd you like your first week?? I keep waiting for some sweet new friend to coax her DH into taking a bathing suit picture of herself and post it! So, we only let you believe it's what we do for a minute...you hung in there anyway not skeered away!

Eeyore actually did....but it was an oldish picture of her perched beautifully atop a jagged looking rock.

I LOVED my first week with ya'll. You are all so much fun:) I must say I really did believe that you all posted swim suit pictures. How funny is that? This is the not the first time I have displayed gulliable (sp?) tendencies.

In fact, while I was typing this I asked my husband how to spell guillable. DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE SAID, "T-A-M-M-Y"- without missing a beat.

Well, I am planning on walking on Main Street this year on my birthday (Dec. 4) at my goal weight- which is now 32 pounds lighter.

See ya later,

Tammy:love:

that is funny what a party girl!:rotfl: i would be exhausted doing all those parties in one day oh to be young again:goodvibes

Hi Peeps!:goodvibes I just put in my online photo order to Walgreens!:cool1: I will pick them up tomorrow. We really did have a great time!:woohoo: I am not sure if I am doing a TR yet or not. I think I am pretty much caught up witht the boards. I am feeling ready to get back to WW 100%. On my vacation everytime a picture of me was taken I felt self-consious of my weight. I don't want to feel that way anymore. Tomorrow I am going to restock my fridge with healthy items. I am sitting here trying to make a list of what I need.

Peeps, what is your favorite low cal meal for dinner? That is the meal I struggle with the most. I hope you are all having a skinny night! :)

I always roast 2 chickens on Friday night. This way we have it for dinner Friday and the leftovers are great for salads and wraps on the weekend. I also roast a ton of veggies (eggplant, peppers, zucchini, cauliflower) with balsamic vinegar and a little olive oil.

For me the best advice I ever got was this "divide your plate into 4 quarters. One should be your meat/protien, One should be your starch/carb and half your plate should be fruit and veg." I found this simple rule helped me alot as I am a total carb addict (I love bread/crackers/ pasta...anything made with dough) and usually my plate would be 2/3's full with starchs. I cut out all white carbs (white bread, white pasta ect) and now I only eat full grain or complex carbs. I feel sooooo much better...and guess what ...I don't crave the carbs nearly as bad ! :)

Hockey you are right in the money. unless you are taking mega doses of supplements and testosterone, a woman isnt going to bulk up. I have been hitting the weights pretty hard lately and I feel so strong. it is so empowering. when i started really trying to lifft..i could only do about 90 lbs on the leg press. and about 5 on each arm for bicep curls. now i am at 150 on leg press and 15 each arm. and i am not any bigger at all. I am actually getting smaller and things moving back to where God intended them to be. ;)

I am at 130 on leg press and 15s on bicep too! I did a few reps w/ a 20 on the bicep but only about 4. I know what you mean about feeling strong, and my arms are definitely smaller now. I do a lot with triceps, in attempt to get rid of the double wave.

Same again. I'm 4 lbs. from my goal and having a devil of a time getting there. Once school is out I'll do it. I worked from 7:30 in the morning till 9 tonight. DH came over to help me print report cards and take down all the student work from the walls. He's a gem. I'm so tired, I didn't post any quotes, but :thumbsup2 and :cool1: to everyone who feels successful, and  to anyone having trouble. I'm going to bed. Just 5 more days of school!:woohoo:

4 lbs from your goal... that is awesome in itself.

I did Habitat for Humanity today from 7:30-4. Mostly moving 2x4 and 2x10 pieces of wood and operating the power saw. My friend is a site supervisor and this is about the 4th or 5th time I have gone out with her, so I wound up in charge of about 4 volunteers.

I was happy, with all my exercise lately I made it through with no issues and was hardly tired. Hot (it was over 95 here today) and now a bit sore, but mostly feeling good. It was sorta cool to see weight training pay off and be able to move 8' 2x4 studs by myself. :)

I was at about 1150 cals today. Been tracking on sparkpeople which makes things SO much easier.

Tomorrow we are headed to WetNWild Greensboro for some water park fun!

we picked up DS from BS camp last night. I started his laundry then by washing the stuff that was still wet. I opened his bag and most of the shirts I sent were still folded (he did have 2 two troop shirts). He did change underwear :cool1: and shorts, but somehow forgot about socks--I sent 9 pair for 6 days and he came home with 6 pair clean. He had 2 water activites each day so I knew he needed more socks. I cannot find one of his troop shirts--so I really think he wore the same shirt most of the week---oh yeah it was in the upper 90's with little rain--boy did my car smell good on the way home. Girls on the other hand for th emost part still want to look good at camp and smell good :rotfl:
When DS went to Boy Scout camp on Santa Catalina, he said he showered twice in 10 days. They did swim in the ocean, but still:scared1: One boy came home with a staph infection from scratching mosquito bites. I told DS ever after that that's what happen when you don't wash with soap and water on a regular basis.

Thats so wierd! My grandma's father (whom I never met) was also a Cherokee indian- everyone always says that is where I get my skin tone as well.
My grampa's mother was full-blooded Cherokee. I burn, but the next day it turns to a tan. And I'm immune to poison oak, which I've heard is also a Cherokee thing. And DD and I both inherited grampa's beautiful Cherokee nose.

I'm baaaaack!

Is it too late to add another loss? I lost 3 lbs! It was my first week back to weight watchers. I have had a ton of ongoing health problems but will try to post more regularly.
Welcome back! WTG w/WW. Hope you feel better soon.

DH and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on June 7th. As I typed that I thought that I may have been married longer than some of you have had birthdays.
 to all!
Cue up Fred and Barney: "Happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, Ha-a-a-apy anniversary!"

Well, I am planning on walking on Main Street this year on my birthday (Dec. 4) at my goal weight- which is now 32 pounds lighter.
Tammy:love:

I started to read this as walking down Main Street in your b-day suit. I know you're proud of your weight-loss, but gosh!

I am at 130 on leg press and 15s on bicep too! I did a few reps w/ a 20 on the bicep but only about 4. I know what you mean about feeling strong, and my arms are definitely smaller now. I do a lot with triceps, in attempt to get rid of the double wave.

Your fitness is amazing! :thumbsup2 Have fun at the water park.

Hi Peeps! I have been gone all day with the birthday parties and just now got my camera to upload pics. Grrr...took forever! But I have been dying to share them with you all. I am a proud mama to these cakes :goodvibes
CAUTION.......food pictures ahead!!

Background-
Step Sis asked for 2 cakes (one for each girl) She wanted the classic "Barbie doll" cake where you put the barbie in the cake and make her dress out of icing. No problem...then she changed it to an Ariel and a Dora cake, same style. OK...had to find the dolls but I made that part of the present. Then she wanted one filled with strawberry and one with lemon..ok, had to find recipes but they were really good if I do say so myself ;) (used fresh strawberries and lemons)
So here are the finished products-front and back and both together.....

Ariel:
everything was edible-shells were chocolate molds I made, sand was crushed graham crackers, edible pearl decorations, edible glitter....

Dora:everything edible here too-
100_6486.jpg

100_6488.jpg

I put them together and made a small square cake to look like a table out of cake scraps and fondant so I had somewhere to write. The pretend cake and silverware was from DD's doll house.

I dont know who was more excited, me or the girls. I loved making these. I wish I could do this for a job!

Off to take a long bath and hit the sack. Have a good night everyone!

wow, dance......those are awesome! you're really talented. :thumbsup2

i was lucky as a kid because my stepmom worked at baskin robbins through college and learned how to decorate cakes really well. for my 6th birthday she made me a 4-foot long big bird cake!

Your cakes look great! I never would have thought you could make the Ariel one like that! So impressed!

THese are awesome--I have 3 parties in September--we know Joshua is getting Wiggles---the other 2 we have no clue. Katie is turning 10 and Andrew is 13 (his will probably some type of manly pirate--or he might say he is now to old and just go with a basic filled cake) My big babies are growing up way to fast ! Wish you lived near here and I would order from you!

Off to get ready for church. Have a great Sunday everyone.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Just got DD13 on the bus for camp. She'll be back next Saturday.

I did not really clean the house yesterday. I basically de-cluttered all day. Cleaning is actually the easy part and the part I enjoy. It's the sorting through the crap-ola that I detest. I do see a laundry break ahead though. :thumbsup2

My mom will be here this evening to stay the week and may be bringing my neice who is 7. That would be excellent for DS!

T-ball this afternoon and VBS set up tonight.

TRIP REPORT PEEPS!
...I promise to try and get caught up next week. I am embarrassed that I am so far behind on my reading. Lynda! Quit writing so fast!
I opened his bag and most of the shirts I sent were still folded (he did have 2 two troop shirts).
Well, at least he changed his underwear?! :confused3 With my girls I've found that 8th grade seems to be the turning point, hygiene-wise. It seems to be the point where instead of saying "Have you brushed your teeth this morning?" I find myself saying "Is this your third shower today?" Can't speak for boys though....not there yet.
We changed the baby's name, again, so for mine and my DH sanity I'm not posting it until she comes so we don't go through this again.
Not Webecca WooWeese? I'm sure the new name is just as pretty. And it's getting close, girlfriend! 75 days!!! :yay:
I have had a ton of ongoing health problems but will try to post more regularly.
Get on in here! Hope you're OK.
Imagine this- I'm in Alabama, its HOT!! usually 79 by 7 am, and where I live we are 20 inches below average for rain this year, the computer that I can access is in a metal building, NO AC, only a fan- so my access time is limited before I'm sweating to death. Hmm? weight loss?
You'd go through all that for us! I feel special. Glad your mom came to her senses and you got your ADRs changed. I want a 12 pack too! Gotta get on those sit ups. Ugggg!
Hi everybody! I have been driving DD(15) to and picking her up from parties all day....and I'm not done!
Pixie! Three sweet 16 parties? Do the birthday kids know each other? I was just wondering if it is the same group of kids trying to make all three parties? Wow! What a fun day for your DD!
In fact, while I was typing this I asked my husband how to spell guillable. DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE SAID, "T-A-M-M-Y"- without missing a beat.
Gullible, thy name is Tammy. Glad you had fun this week. We're glad you're here.
Peeps, what is your favorite low cal meal for dinner?
I agree with Tinkabella. I cook a lot of chicken too but I usually cook chicken breasts. I marinate and grill extra so I have them for quick/easy stir fry, on salads, sandwiches, etc. You can do the same thing with steak also. I really like fish but my family....not so much. And whole grains and green veggies are important. I don't even make rolls or bread to go with dinner any more. If I do make potatoes or rice, I just have a spoonful. I'm lucky that I prefer veggies and salad over the starchy stuff.
I did Habitat for Humanity today from 7:30-4.
Way to go, Habitat Kat! That's awesome that you have time to help out and you're getting some good exercise! Have fun at Wet n' Wild!
So here are the finished products-front and back and both together.....
Cake decorating jail definitely paid off! Those are just unbelievably AWESOME! You are very talented and I hope you were adequately thanked by your DSIL!

HAVE A WONDERFUL & BLESSED SUNDAY, EVERYONE!
:flower3:

Looking at everyone's weightloss tickers that should be so easy for you to do. Great group here to support you on! Plus that's my favorite time of year to go.

In the summer I love cooking with zucchinni. I will sautee zucchinni, mushrooms, peppers and onions in olive oil. Sprinkle with parmesean cheese when soft and use as a side dish. Goes good with rice and cubed chicken breast. I like to season with soy sauce.

Great cakes jen! My mom always made cakes with Wilton metal pans growing up...I love those!! I think I made one once..it didn't seem to bad. You should go into business!!! :cloud9:

I hope everyone has a great day...DH and I are finishing the trim in the room we painted last week and I have to pick up my dad's 120pd. dog for an overnight tonight while he is out of town. That's 4 dogs in the house..all over 50 pds!! Good thing we have a fenced in yard and I am off of work tomorrow!!

good morning, peeps! hope everyone's having a great weekend!

my weekend-of-nothingness has been great so far. i've just been playing around on the DIS and relaxing.....okay, and i'll admit i did a little laundry, too. so it hasn't been absolute nothingness!

by the way, if you need a good laugh, go look at my TR (link's in my siggie) on page 29. i finally figured out how to upload a video to photobucket and i posted the video of our first time on ToT. even if you don't subscribe to my TR (which i TOTALLY don't take offense to!!! ;) ), the video is hilarious....at least to me anyway.

hope everyone has a good day. can't wait for the sopranos finale tonight!!!!! remember......no spoilers for the TIVOers and west-coasters! (i'm mostly saying that to remind myself! )

Punkin, I loved the video. I love ToT, and watching the video, I even got the funny feeling in my tummy in anticipation of the drops. thanks for sharing it.

I had a horrible dream about how the Sopranos ended....Tony pushed Meadow off a cliff and then shot his newborn baby?? Of course he doesn't have one. Then some Indians came and scalped him. They then took him to the mountain shack of the guy that Tony killed and put in a duffel bag. ( I can't remember his name!!) Apparently he isn't dead and had a clan of about 10 kids!!

I didn't say I was normal!! :lmao:

Dance, those cakes are amazing! You could definatley do that for a living! Now I'm gonna have to go make me a cake, I'm hungry!:)

Thanks everyone! I love making them. I was sort of happy when she changed the plans to something harder than just the plain barbie cakes. I like to have a challenge. I wish I could have a business doing it, but in TX there are TONS of rules to doing that from your home and I could never afford to open a place of my own. At least not now. So, for now I will do them for anyone who asks and take money for them if they want to pay me. Otherwise it is good practice.

We are off to take DD to see a movie today. She has been very good this week and she earned it. Which means that we now have to sit through it too though. Going to see Surf's Up. Hope it is at least toleable. i will try to be a good peep and resist the popcorn, but I cant make any promises ;)
