I am down 1.8 lbs from last week! That's 1.8 of my 6.4-lb-WDW-gain, but I'll take it! I'm at 226.2 now, so total loss of 23.8 lbs. Another 1.2, and I'll have my 25 lb ribbon back! I'm hoping for that next week. I plan to get back on my bike after about a 2 week hiatus (taking Dr's advice & doing low impact for longer periods of time), so hopefully that will help.

I will be thinking of you. That is actually the day my sister is getting married (yes... a friday, ugh!), so I probably wont be here to give you :grouphug: , so take it and save it up for then, ok? I am bet the waiting is worse than the actual procedure itself.

I know I have said it before, but I honestly would have quit LONG ago if it wasnt for you guys. I check here all the time to read along even when I cant always post, and it keeps me on track. I love the support and I know I owe at least 50% of the weight I have lost the past few months to this place. I just feel a bunch of big losses coming tomorrow around here. My new bling is so close I can taste it!!

I had a friend who got married a couple of years ago on a Friday, and it's kinda a pain, isn't it?

I will save your  for later! Thanks! :goodvibes Yeah, the waiting probably IS worse. After I scheduled it yesterday, it made it much more real, and I didn't care for it. I know I will be much happier when it is over. Hey, at least I might lose a little weight from not eating that morning, and I get a 3-day weekend out of it!

Just wanted to say I agree 100% with your comments about this thread! It's the BESTEST! You guys really keep me on track. I know I would not be nearly this successful if it weren't for this place, and I might not even be doing this anymore. So THANKS PEEPS! :goodvibes

OK, on to the wooo hoootie. I went to the mall today with a gift card from a student. I decided to buy some new jeans, because my old ones are at least 8 years old (I KNOW! I hate clothes shopping. I've had the gift card since Christmas). I picked up a pair of Levi's boot cut, size 10, and went to the dressing room. They were so loose, I took them off without unzipping them. I got dressed and went out and picked up a pair of size 8s. They were perfect. I was feeling a little down and tired before that, but after the new jeans I came home and did a Denise Austin tape.

WOO HOOTY!!!

My computer is driving me crazy - so slow! Something is wrong. I just know it!
But Congratulations, Punkin! That's great! What a cool thing to happen. And you're right - you should always accept a compliment offered to you!!!

Lynda, you'll be in my prayers. I hope you find out what you need to.

Hope everyone else is doing well!
See you later! I have trip reports to read! I just figured out that one of the reports I had started and saved and was going to read "sometime" was Melinda's! :goodvibes So much more fun now that I know her family better. I've been worried all week about her daughter's trip!

OMGarsh! I didn't know Melinda had a TR out there! Where? Can someone post the link for me?

Oh this is a hoot! MALE(S) overt your eyes, you will not be able to scratch this image out of your brains...

So I was on the other forum I now frequent that is oh-so-mormon, right?
There's a Beauty Thread that caught my little eye. On this Magic Cream sold in the ethnic men's tolietries department of any store that works better than Nair.

It was 3 pages long before I realized they were all talking about shaving down there... "big time" ...the whole she-daisy! EEEK!

It's literally called Magic Cream for ethnic men's beards OR mama-hoo-hoo's. It was soooo carefully talked about (all super squeeky clean words). I still get fits of giggles when I think of it!!!! My favorite comment was something like, "Won't Patrick be SURPRISED for his birthday?" OMGosh! There's more, but I wanted to keep this PG. I think we all need to run out and get us some Magic Cream!!! :rolleyes1 ((I'm NOT going First!))

:lmao: I can just see you :rotfl2: when you figured out what they were talking about! That is too funny!

WARNING: RANT AHEAD!....SO...being the squeaky wheel....I called FedEx to inquire about why we could never track the passport package and why they never had it in their system. After going through several customer service reps, they finally realized that the package was a FedEx SAME DAY package. FedEx Same Day is a completly separate entity from FedEx.

The FedEx Same Day folks were nice but unwilling to accept any responsibility for delivering the package 48 hours after it was picked up in New Orleans....on Monday at 4:00. (Me: So you accept the money to deliver it in 24 hours but you can pretty much deliver it whenever you want?)

After I hung up, I came in and typed in www.fedexsameday.com and typed in my tracking # and THERE IT WAS! The package landed at the local airport at 2:30 p.m. on TUESDAY! and was right here in Lexington a full 24 hours before they brought it to my house! I KNOW! Which caused DD to miss the first plane and cost moi $600! (I try not to question...He has His reasons)

Anyway, I called back the regular FedEx folks (and asked to speak to someone it charge!) and demanded that they tell people who are desperately trying to track passports that THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE FEDEX SAME DAY PACKAGES! And can be easily tracked on the other web site! Send out a memo for crying out loud! People like me are packing a bag to make a desperate drive to a regional passport office when their package is right there in their own town.

Rant over.

Did everybody see on the national news last night that the Dept. of State is lifting border passport restrictions as early as today to help ease up the strain on the passport authority! Here's the story.

EVERYBODY HAVE A SKINNY WEIGH IN DAY! :flower3:

Oh my! I would be fuming! Yeah, I think I'd be like Dance...looking for my $600! Good for you for staying so calm. I guess that's where DD gets it from? ;)

I'm down 2lbs!! I've been on the my mouth hurts do dang much to eat diet!

Thanks for all the sympathy notes about my dentist fears! I survived! They sent me home with antibiotics and vicodin and I'm feeling alot better this morning. I'll go in for a root canal the first week of July.

Punkin :yay: I'm giving you a little standing ovation! That is so awesome!

Umama Ok, it's time for me to "fess" up! I tried something similar and ended up burning my self "down there". It was horrible! Of course my dh thought it was quite amusing but I was too:eek: to go to a dr.

Melinda I can't believe they had it for that long! I would have been asking for someone's head on a platter over that one. You really are amazing!

I can't remember who and I"m to drugged up to figure it out but :cheer2: to whoever went down a size in jeans!

Samer but I will take it. Loooking forward to the new week ahead. Congrats to all those smaer ganiner and losers just glad you were here to play!!!

Melinda - I thought I was still sleeping and heard about the passports my jaw hit the floor and thought of all the insanity you have gone through.

I am so happy to know what a great Mom you have been about this whole matter and stayed focused on the solution. A great lesson for the kids to learn from. Now lets see about them giving you guys some free miles or something out this this insanity!!!!

My weigh-in result: -3.2 lbs. I have now lost all my "found" WDW lbs plus 1 more. And I got my bling back! I am at 194, for a total loss of 24 lbs since I started Feb 5, and a 7 lb loss since I joined WISH/this thread. I am fitting (mostly) into my 14s again. My Sept goal is 170, and my end goal is 145 which is 49 lbs from now.

OK, on to the wooo hoootie. I went to the mall today with a gift card from a student. I decided to buy some new jeans, because my old ones are at least 8 years old (I KNOW! I hate clothes shopping. WOO-HOO!!!! Wonderful!

Mama-hoo-hoos... :rotfl:

this is NOT my official weigh-in. right now i'm a samer. i'm not surprised though because i worked out hard this week and it always seems i don't lose anything when i'm sore, so i'm thinking the theory that sore muscles retain water/acid is true. also, someone else (maybe hockeykat?) mentioned recently that working out is sort of like an investment.....you get the reward a few days later rather than immediately. i think that's totally true. anyway, with all that said, i'm going to see if i have any luck in the potty department before i post my official numbers this week.

i'm off to juvenile court this morning and i'll be back to post my numbers this afternoon. hope everyone does well this week! i've seen some awesome numbers from you guys so far!!!!!! :thumbsup2

punkin, I forgot to congratulate you on your you-look-great story a few pages back... that is so awesome. And yes, I think it was me... I personally think that you are rewarded for both food and exercise the week after you stick to it, esp if you have been at this weight loss thing a while. Same w/ being bad, the results show up the following week.

Also, and this is not just my opinion... exercise helps keep weight off, esp. weight-training, since muscles need more calories than fat.

Melinda, you are calmer than I would be...

I bid on that Tinkerbell tankini that I posted the other day, on ebay. It is a size 12, but I have had multiple reports now that those suits run at least 2 sizes too big. My friend who is a 12 needed an 8.

Congrats to all the "losers"!!! May we all have a super-skinny day!

Lost 1 lb!!!

Wanted to get that out of the way, as I am finally on a downward spiral!!! :cool1:

I haven't checked other posts yet, but am heading there next. Hope everyone is doing well.

I have been up since 5:30am, as DH went for an angiogram this morning. Luckily, they found 30-40% blockage, which isn't bad.:woohoo: We just have to watch his cholesterol levels, diet and he needs more excercise. All of which we can do. He & I both are relieved it wasn't serious. It could have been much worse. :sad2: However, I am now quite sleepy and would rather be home sleeping instead of here at work! Oh well, I'll make it through the rest of the day. ;)

i hope you're right because i'm a samerthis week and i worked by booty off at the gym! plus i had luck in the potty department and still didn't lose any more! getting that 20-pound ribbon is proving to be annoyingly difficult.....here's hoping for next week! and i'm glad to hear that weight training helps keep the weight off because i LOVE weight training. it's cardio i hate!

have you guys seen this?

it's ridiculous! i'm glad she's going back to jail. you violate your probation....you serve your sentence. it's not hard to understand. that's what probation is for.....to give you a second change to do better. she obviously couldn't follow the rules and now she's having to pay for it.....like everyone else does!!! she just irks me! :headache:

by the way, my disney bathing suit arrived today! and it fits perfectly!!! if i remember correctly, the website said it was a 10/12 and it's the 12 part i was worried about on the top because my top is much smaller than my bottom. but the bathing suit just says 10. so who knows? the top could be a little more snug, but it'll do. and no, i'm not posting a pic. this one will have to tide you over until i'm in super model shape! :lmao:

...

From what I have read, weight training is really the key to weight loss, toning, and weight maintenance. Cardio does help with endurance and is good if you have a lot to lose (me) and a sedentary job (me) and are training for something like running a marathon, walking WDW, hockey (me)... but if you have to choose between the two, weight training is the way to go.

I have also heard, read, etc. that women approach weight training the wrong way. Very few women have the necessary body chemistry to be able to bulk up muscle without chemical help (a la steroids). However, the myth is that women should do high reps, low weights, to "tone" and avoid bulking. You can get the same or better results by high weights, low reps and it takes a lot less time. They say to pick a weight that you can only do 5-8 reps and do 3 sets of them, with as little rest as possible.

Your pics are great btw!!

Hi Peeps!!: I'm back from WDW!! We had a fantastic time! party: It only rained once and that was after we were back at our resort. I hope everyone is doing well. I didn't have time to read all of the posts yet. It looks like it has been busy here. I will be checking in later I just wanted to say hi!!:wave2:

Welcome home Belle!!! :) Can't wait to hear about your trip!

To anyone interested, I just posted an update on my TR! (shameless plug)

OK, I have to say....I may or may not have had some waxing in that area. Not the whole "she-daisy" as UM so tastefully put it :lmao: And honestly, my eyebrow waxes hurt more  And I am a BIG wimp. It also grows back much more slowly and much less of it than it does when shaving. Just thought I would share... you know with swimsuit season upon us and all ;)

Thank you for the Public Service Announcement! My old High School gym teacher REALLY could have taken that advice, I tell you what.

I would love to have lunch with you and Spongie! And I have a good excuse for the 5 books because I haven't gotten any sent to me.:) I'll be in the happy valley the 14th-25.

I am SO glad she is going back. When I heard she was on house arrest, I was thinking gee...what a horrible plcae to be stuck :rotfl: You break the law repeatedly, you go to jail. Period.
Those pics are SOOO cute!!

:lmao: I love the picture!! You're almost as dorky as me!

100_3145.jpg

This is me on drugs!:rotfl:
:rotfl: So cute too!! You guys are making me want to dig up my pictures like that. I have some, but they were pre digital camera. I may have to use my 'white trash scanner' and show you guys later.

I have been in cake decorating jail all afternoon. I volunteered to make birthday cakes for both my neices for tomorrow. My step sister wasnt even going to have a party or get cakes. She is such a piece of work. So I dug up some pics of cute cakes and let her decide...then she added 2 different fillings, and changed the cake design yesterday. BUT, being the people pleaser I am, I still made them. They are almost ready to be decorated now. (and photographed of course!) I am so tired. AND, there are tons of cake scraps all over my kitchen and I have not eaten any! WHOOHOO!

I am sure I will eat some later, but let me celebrate resisiting them this long, ok?!
