OK, I hate to be a party pooper, but I have to post this because, based on personal experience, I think it might really help some people. Some folks on here have a cheat day. For you, that might just mean a day where you don't write down everything you eat, or you indulge in one treat that you don't normally have. However, if you have a cheat day like I have a cheat day, watch out! A couple of times I've had a cheat day, and then gone back and tried to figure out the damage done, and whoa! If I've gone to a buffet, or a dessert bar (or rarely, a real bar) I can eat more than double my alotted points in a day. That really has a detrimental effect on your weight. I used to have a quote from Andy Rooney written in my old food diary, "Ignorance of the facts doesn't change the facts." That means just because you don't write down eating a piece of cheesecake doesn't mean your body won't know that it's had an extra 900 calories. And see, I wrote those magic words in a "just keep slimmin'" Dory blue!![]()
Not a party pooper at all! The first thing I think of if I don't get the results I want on Friday is, "What did I do on cheat day?" Let me explain my cheat day. I don't write things down. I have pretty much whatever I want, but I can't eat as much as I used to. So, if we have cinnamon rolls from the tube for breakfast, I only have 1 or 2. If we have donuts, 2 max. Then, we usually eat out, and I will have an entree I usually don't have. (Cheeseburger at Wendy's last Sunday) We seem to be doing pizza for dinner, but I don't eat as much as I used to. Two slices if they are normal slices - maybe 6 if they are the small square pieces. And yes, I have a dessert item of some kind. Also, sometimes we don't do lunch AND dinner, but something in between. These cheat days are usually quite comparable to each other though, so they shouldn't make a difference from one week to the next. HOWEVER...I asked DH what we had for dinner Sunday because I couldn't remember, and he said pizza. I remembered. I had 2 pieces...AND 3 pieces of cheesy bread! I forgot all about the cheesy bread! That might not have helped. DH doesn't seem to think it was 2 lbs worth, and I agree, but I am going to make some adjustments this week and see what happens. (Oh, I stay away from buffets too!
)We've lost a total of just over 40 pounds this week!!!!!!!!!
WooooooHooooty!!!!!!
WOOOOOO HOOOOOOTY!!!
HAPPY SATURDAY, PEEPS!
Just wanted to vent....The kids have been bugging me about whether or not we can go to WDW again this year. They all LOVE it! I told them to work on dad. We all want to go except him.
Well, I was in the bedroom last night but I heard him say loudly to DS...IF YOU ALL WANT TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD, I'LL GIVE YOU THE MONEY AND YOU CAN JUST GO!!!He just has no love for Disney.
He'd rather be out on the beach which is, frankly, no vacation for me. We usually rent a house and there's still cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc. to do on those kinds of vacations. I was hoping we could go the same week as we went last year and that 180 day window opens in a couple of weeks. I may need some pixie dust on this one.![]()
What week is it that you might go? We arrive on Sept. 29th this year!
Get a new scale when you're out today, Lynda! I think there's something wrong with that one. Your little Jasper is a cutie and I love your sweet kitty. She's a beauty.
The scale is only a couple of months old, so maybe I'll switch out the battery if things don't look better soon. And thanks on the Jasper and Oliver comments. I love that you said "She is a beauty."
because HE is the prissiest mamma's boy kitty ever!
Wanna hear something scary?I've actually been having cravings... for SALAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I
salad! And I crave it often too!

He just has no love for Disney.
I've actually been having cravings... for SALAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I'm totally motivated to stick it out for at least a few more days in Phase 1. I might not go the full week, only because I really need those carbs to work out and I'm very motivated to hit the TM. We'll see...
I have done my exercise bike for 30 minutes twice this week and my exercise ball for 30 minutes twice this week so far. I have stayed right around 1600 calories every day besides my cheat day and one day that was 1900, but since I weigh 230-something, that should not be an issue. And I don't believe my cheat day was any worse than any of the others. (I can't remember what we ate for dinner that day, so I will have to ask DH if he remembers tonight.) I was flabbergasted when I saw that number on the scale this morning! I was hoping to lose at least the .8 lb. I would have needed to get my 20-lb ribbon! Ugh! This is making me quite emotional, so sorry if I am rambling. I am trying to think about this logically and determine possible causes. I know that this is one week and next week may more than make up for it if it is just a fluke, but right now, in this moment, I feel frustrated and confused. I will work on this. I just want to see that number go down, and I want to know what I need to do to make that happen next week. OK, I guess I just needed to vent about that. I will keep plugging away and work even harder this coming week to see that loss next Friday. And I WILL be drinking a lot of water today and weighing again when I get home, and I will report what I see.
. My right kidney is infected very badly. The best chance is an in patient treatment with fluids and antibiotics. Please pray that this goes away. I'll have mamabearjo keep me up to date over the weekend on your successes.
I feel soooo sick yet I managed to drag myself to a scale this morning, is that sad or what, considering it's downstairs in my laundry room.

They said the plot was thin, but if you liked to see mostly nude guys fighting, then you would enjoy it. Did your DH like it?
