DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 3

Hey everyone...I am out of our local house of horrors. Here is the condensed version. I had phylo-nephrites (SP???) which is where the infection settles into the kidney. Usually w/ UTI's etc. it starts in the bladder and works its way up but this actually started in the right kidney where I do not have full functioning. If I could explain what is like to pee on needles while lava is flowing out of your HooHobber and the intense need to get that lava out is like someone twisting a knife inside and by the way Rocky is giving blows to the right side of your back...yeah...that is a kidney infection.

Then the great part is that you need pain medicine...which causes nausia to set in and vommiting to insue. This of course means that they want you to eat because w/ food you won't be so sick..but you have to stop throwing up long enough to eat. :confused3 I have no pride in telling you I had to have my Mommy come get me on Friday because I could not even walk by myself.

So there was a few hot male nurses...hot Dr.s and my Chef de'Room service was smokin... :thumbsup2 but that could have been an illusion of the Dillodid and Percoset and Levaquin Trifecta I was on... :rotfl2: if they had 3 teeth on the same jaw...I saw beauty. Did get sponge baths though...

I need to go to the Mayo now and see some specialists. Not sure what I want as an end result. No really great outcome.

Meanwhile...back in the real world...I need help if anyone is willing. Through my work I have a goal that is ending this month after 7 months of hard work. Missing 5 days was crucial on top of the whole foot injury of 3 weeks ago. I am worried it will be close. So...

If anyone needs some free Tupperware..please P.M. me and I will get you tons if you help me out by having a book party/e-party etc. No pressure just know God provides to those who ask and I am starting to ask...Have learned recently that counting only on myself does not allow others to help and know how much I need them. Believe me...I have missed u guys and letting you know I do need u in my life.
Dawn, I'm so glad that you're out of the hospital! It's great that you keep your sense of humor, and I really laughed at your description of the pain! When my grandma was in the nursing home she about died when a young cute male nurse came in to give her a bath and help her go potty! :)

Can I join in the fun. I just found this thread. I started losing weight last May for my up coming Disney trip in August. I lost 40 lbs by the trip. I have continued and I have now lost over 80 lbs and I would like to lose 38 more. To keep me motivated I have decided to run the Minnie marathon in 2008 to celebrate changing my life. At least it sounds good on paper, but now the reality of running 15k is starting to set in. I may have lost my mind. Must be all this dieting:rotfl:

Whatever! Of COURSE!!!!

HOW did you do it???

I didn't read past your original post so ignore that question if you answered it already!

A couple of weeks ago I had an allergic reaction to something I ate... either some fish or the seasoning I put on it. Several Peeps expressed concern and wanted me to tell the doctor. Doctor seemed to think it was probably the seasoning... and he didn't seemed too worried until I said my tongue had swollen... so he told me to carry benedryl with me and gave me a prescription for an epipen for emergencies.

good idea! thanks for remembering to tell him!

Oh BTW lost 7 more pounds...

HEY GRUMPY!!!:wave2:

Dawn so glad to hear you are out of the hospital and doing better...you are such a trip

Newbies:welcome: now post a bio and a pic of you in a bathing suit...we all did it...really we did just ask Utah:rolleyes1

So peeps for dinner I had a bowl of cereal and a Corona Light...thats healthy right?

Whatever! Of COURSE!!!!

HOW did you do it???

I had to step away from the computer for away. I teach music and to go to a school to put on a show with 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Fun fun fun.

I have done a lot of joining to lose weight. I joined weight watchers, joined a gym, and joined an exercise class.

I so wanted to lose weight before I want to Disney last year. I didn't want to worry about fitting in the seat on the airplane or if I could get out of the car on space mountain.

I now want to prove to myself that I can lose all of th extra weight.

Hi all....just struggling along here trying to eat well.....keep reading your inspirational posts....Just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Hello! :yay:

I think I have to reevaluate my plan of action though.A walk around the soccer fields instead of going to the gym, etc.

That sounds like an excellent idea... go for it! Making the best of your situation... THAT'S what Peeps do!

Peeps! I am not having a good week.

Hope things get better soon... here's some fat-free :grouphug: and lo-cal pixiedust: and a big hand so you can get back up on the wagon.

January Do any of us Peeps have WDW Annual Passes? Or AAA insurance/membership - from what I've heard during that busy weekend, these may (may) be the only "discounts" (well Florida residence also may get a discount) available - but you can book up to 3 rooms with any discount!!

MAN, I wish I could go! I've got AAA and DVC points and I'll have my AP by then... but that is the first week back to school after Christmas break and school districts frown upon "extending" holidays.

Can I join in the fun.

Welcome! :dance3:

hope your mess wasn't too bad to deal with!

I have leather seats and the junk mail I toss in the back seat soaked up most of the water :lmao:

Dene...it is pouring here too. I was driving home from dance this afternoon and I saw some lightning hit a few feet in front of my car. Scared the bejezzus out of me! You are in FW, right? I am up in McKinney so I am surprised it is pouring there too.

I'm actually in Granbury... 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth. So most storms around here head from me to you.

We just might have to have ourselves a little mini-Peep meet... I'm looking at a plastic surgeon up in your general area (Plano) :lmao:

Can I join too???

Of course you can! Welcome! :dance3:

If I could explain what is like to pee on needles while lava is flowing out of your HooHobber and the intense need to get that lava out is like someone twisting a knife inside and by the way Rocky is giving blows to the right side of your back...yeah...that is a kidney infection.

:scared:

So there was a few hot male nurses...hot Dr.s and my Chef de'Room service was smokin... :thumbsup2 but that could have been an illusion of the Dillodid and Percoset and Levaquin Trifecta I was on... :rotfl2: if they had 3 teeth on the same jaw...I saw beauty. Did get sponge baths though...

Real... imaginary... too much beer cute... good meds cute... a hottie is a hottie! :woohoo:

(They're only hot if they have FOUR teeth on each jaw, missy! Sponge bath or NOT!)

Not sure why, but this reminded me of something one of my geology professors would say on field trips... the number of teeth the gas station attendant had missing was directly proportional to the distance from the station to the Interstate.

Newbies:welcome: now post a bio and a pic of you in a bathing suit...we all did it...really we did just ask Utah:rolleyes1

So peeps for dinner I had a bowl of cereal and a Corona Light...thats healthy right?

:rotfl2: um....yeah. i'll get right on that bathing suit pic. sure. then you guys will know the meaning of ba-dunk-a-dunk butt!!!

oh, and least you're honest about what had for dinner. that's more than a lot of people can say! i *almost* had a hershey kiss after my can of tuna earlier, but i resisted. now the brown cows in the freezer are calling my name!!! :scared:

OOooooo Count me in!

I'm only 18 but severely overweight! I need to lose practically 100 pounds to be a "healthy weight" (according to the charts). I have a bigger build so I don't know if I could make it down to 140. I'd be happy with 165-175lbs. All I know is that I'm tired of being overweight.

I'm going to WDW in January 2008 with my best friend (her first time) and I want to enjoy it!

:goodvibes

Cookies are decorated!

Well almost, I still have to do the detail work but that does not take nearly as long (hopefully) as the base frosting.

A lot of newbies today - WELCOME!!!

The wagon was waiting for me tonight after class so I have jumped back on! Chugging the water and taking it one meal at a time. I will weigh in Thursday probably and just deal with it. Maybe the scales will surprise me?

Ok, gotta go pick out something to wear for tomorrow and start to wind down so I can get some sleep! I'm barely tired but I need to get up early.

Night Peeps! :grouphug:

Dawn - So glad you are out of the hospital. Are you still in pain or feeling better at least? Go ahead and PM me your TW web address. I definitely could not do a party, but I'm always looking for kitchenware and storage stuff...

Wow, Dene'! Your eating plan is hard core! I know I would do better if I followed some your guidelines. You're even more of an inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

Dawn - So glad to hear you've been sprung from the horror-spital!

:welcome: to all of today's newbies!!! Nice to have you aboard.

Hang in there, Shannon. Sorry you're having a rough week. Glad to hear that you have dusted yourself off and hopped back onto the wagon

I'm having trouble posting tonight too, so I will stop here.

Night, Peeps!:thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone!

BTW
I haven't booked my trip yet because I need some expert advice. So here goes.
Should I get the Water Parks and More options? We will be going in December and I didn't know if many people hit the water parks that time of year. The difference in price is less than $150. If I don't pay for this option now, can I add it when we get there? Thanks in advance. Have a good day.

We have had this option in November and January. In Jan. our TA got it added for free or we would not have done it. However, when we paid for it in November, we went on the one cold day and it was not fun. In January, it was hot and we had a great time. So I guess it depends on your family. My kids love to swim so they thought it was great. I am pretty convinced that my trip down Summitt Plummitt compounded my recent hip problems!

IF free dining comes around (it looks like it came and went, it came to those who booked a trip while on their trips, and it came to our friends across the sea :yay: JO!!) but apparantly WDW feels their resorts are full - and why is Value season over at Aug 15??? (It used to be Oct 3!) :sad2: :snooty:

What do you mean value season is over Aug. 15. That sounds like when it should be starting?

Hey Peeps, signing on here breaking the rules to let my Peeps know that I got the test results back, my thyroid is goofed up and whatever test they did came back abnormal. I go Monday to discuss medication and options and what it all means...I'm a little spooked right now because I have been reading and the scary things always stick in your brain, so I will try to not panic til I really get to know what I am dealing with. It's not gonna help to worry anyways and I do feel a little better that I know its something

Harley, don't panic and don't do internet searches! I have done that so many times and then when I got the final results I worried for nothing. So wait for the results and we will all be praying.

UM this is for you, I saw it when hubby and i went out to dinner and I whipped out my phone and took the pick and said UM needs this!

um.jpg

They probably had to post this sign so people would know up front instead of getting up and leaving after they have been seated!:rotfl2: Seriously, when I order a Diet Coke and they say how about a Diet Pepsi - No thanks, I will have tea.

I is 2 am here and I cannot sleep. I will be miserable tomorrow! Tonight we had youth small group, then after that we went out with DH's parents for DH's birthday dinner. Towards the end for dinner I felt a migraine coming on. By the time we got home it was full blown. So I threw up, took some medicine and slept for about an hour. I still have dull throb but I can't sleep. Good news is dinner was calorie-free!

Okay, going back to catch up.

Dene - You are doing fabulous!!! And it shows!

Shannon - I have been right there with you. It is really hard when you host 2 small groups at your house every week, attend another small group at the church and have constant youth socials - all of the above include food!!! I am really trying hard to get back on the wagon. We can do this!!!

Can I join in the fun. I just found this thread. I started losing weight last May for my up coming Disney trip in August. I lost 40 lbs by the trip. The weather just turned warm here in So. Cal. Bathing suit season in March is just cruel and unusual, and I'm not ready for it!

I did WW online a few years ago and had sucess with it, so I think I will try that again.

My goal is to lose 25 pounds by Aug, for my WDW vacation. Wearing shorts that are a size too small does not do good things to your inner thighs. I learned that painful lesson last summer!

Looking forward to meeting you all, and getting back on the right track!

Melissa

:welcome: We love to have new people!

:welcome: So where are you from? Are you in school?

Okay guys, since I have to be up in 4 hours I should try to go to sleep! Good night!

GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!! :sunny:

I overslept again!!! I was up an hour in the middle of the night last night so good thing I'm even up this early

I took DS to a local baseball game yesterday and I was bad. They had funnel cake there and it beckoned me so I ate it. But I didn't eat anything else before bed time....no dinner, nuttin. Life's too short and funnel cakes are too few and far between. Or at least that's what I told myself. Why am I walking 10 miles a week anyhoo? Confession over.

:welcome: Bradford, Steddom, Cristabel!!!! Tell us about yourselves. We celebrate birthdays here so pm me yours.

DAWN.....I too had a laugh at your description....sorry. Glad your better and all the male nurses were smokin....whether they really were or not. ;) Here's one of these too.

HARLEY....Don't panic!!! You'll be all straightened out in no time with some medication.

SHANNON....Get back on the wagon, sweetie.

EVERYBODY HAVE A SPECTACULAR DAY!!! :flower3:

Nice coat rack, Sparkie!

I WISH today was weigh day!!!! ((hint hint))
I have been one the best diet for two days!

Maybe you've heard of it? The Strep Throat diet?
It ROCKS!

:rotfl2:

Well, If I can go even more into the pretty numbers, you (across the nation) will hear my woo hooty!

I hope you are feeling better

DENE CONGRATULATIONS:worship: I am in awe of your success. I still have that much left to lose!

I gotta run to work and still have 8 pages to read through later so try not to add too much today:rolleyes1 like that's gona happen!:rotfl:

:welcome: New people are always welcome!

So peeps for dinner I had a bowl of cereal and a Corona Light...thats healthy right?

Clarification, please! You did mean a bowl of cereal with milk in it and a Corona Light on the side... right? :lmao:

My thoughts exactly!!! :rotfl2:

OK Ladies...I need a hand back on the wagon.

It seems no matter what/how much I eat I can't lose. If I do WW, count calories, whatever, nothing seems to work. I lost 4 lbs last week, but only because I had a stomach flu. This week, 3 lbs are back on! I am frustrated and ready to say "The heck with it."

Please...I need inspiration, ideas, a good swift kick in the pants!! Something to help me along here. :sad2:

Thanks in advance for the help. You guys are the bestest! :grouphug:

I did not lose well when I started on the points calculated the current WW way - I had to drop down several points in order to start losing. In fact, I think I need to reduce my points again and/or stop dipping into the flex points.

Just a thought based on my recent experience. That's a big reason why I decided to increase my exercise too.

Mornin...

Welcome to the Newbies - Hang on its a rough ride for all of us. Those that work really hard, and those (like me) who have ups and downs, and want to walk away from it all... I have found one thing that works, is coming here and posting.

DisneyO - :grouphug: I so know what you mean!! I think if it (diet, exercise, etc etc) worked llike clockwork, I dont think Diets would be on the news, I dont think there would be such a profit in Diet pills, shakes, foods, books, magazines... I know where you're coming from I'm there! Do you know I was looking at my awful self in the mirror, and I had watched a show where a nice young woman (in her forties or so, she had had children!! ;) ) anyway, the overhang belly fat was going - by surgery... I keep looking at my belly, the only thing holding that sucker up is fat! :rotfl: OK, do you understand how good I am at avoiding? I cant begin to tell you how guilty I feel for the fast food lanes I've driven through, chinese too... Have I EVEN tried to get back on the exercise wagon? Did so much as one sit up??? WHAT is wrong with me?

Harley BORG! I had a bowl of Grape Nuts cereal, but with a glass of red wine... (on the side!! ) and I always eat my cereal dry!!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome: We LOVE Newbies! Just post a bio about yourselves, and don't listen to Harley about the bathing suit pic, but if you feel compelled please go right ahead! ;) :rotfl: Seriously, it is great to have you on board. Sometimes we have to help each other back on the wagon, but this is a great group, and will provide lots of laughs and support, when needed. Also, cover your screen with plastic wrap while reading posts. It could get damaged if ya' KWIM? ;) :rotfl: :rotfl2: Most of the bios started WAY BACK on page 92, but mine is on 305, if ya' wanta go look.

I looked at myself in the mirror with just my bare essentials on! :scared1: Not a pretty sight! :sad2: I decided right then and there, this was not how I wanted to look! It makes you take an honest look at where you really are. It motivated me, so I hope it will work for you! :cheer2:
