Can I join the challenge even tho I can't go to the peep meet? I'd love to do this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FRAN!!!

I couldn't decide between flowers and cake!

Flowers-Basket-Cake.jpg

This is going to sound funny, but that might actually be a good thing... that is the point I had to get to before I finally got motivated to DO something. I've been the same weight for 18-20 years... why didn't I do something about it before? I "kind of" tried, but I didn't reach the tipping point until this past winter. I am SOOOO glad I reached that point!!!!!!!!
Wow, Dene', you continue to be such an inspiration! I was sick and tired of being sick and tired - that was my personal tipping point. Even though the weight is coming off slowly, I feel a little more energetic each week, but still could never do the amount of exercise as some of the Peeps here. At least I am finally doing SOME exercise!!! My friend at work dragged me out for a walk again today, then I talked my hubby into working with me to pick up the big branches in the yard tonight so he can start mowing soon.

Hello! I finally am done with my Disneyland Trip Report! YAY!

I'm having a hard time NOT thinking today is a free day! So far so good!!! That stupid Easter Chocolate is calling me though. DONT worry! I wont touch it!!!
Woo Hoo on the TR! Easter chocolate at the office was caling out to me today and I gave in and had some. When I got home, I figured out why I was so susceptible to treats this week. AF made an appearance after SEVERAL months, if not a year :scared1: I'm wondering if it was the weight loss that triggered it :confused3 At least I haven't had a hot flash for a while :lmao:

OK...Thanks to you all for the prayers and pixie dust. I apprecate it and am making a turn around on this weight thing. I know I can lose the weight, I've done it before. Just because I'm older doesn't mean I should let the slowness of losing get to me. This has become a total mental thing and I am letting outside stress and others make me give up...NO MORE!!! :scared1:

As of today I am back on track and will keep track of every morsal that goes in my mouth! popcorn::
I will do some form of exercise everyday. :yay:
I will drink at least 64 oz of water a day.:drinking:

Thank-You to all you Peeps for the encouragement, love and pixie dust you continually send. Your the Greatest!!! :grouphug:
:thumbsup2 :yay: Good for you -- GREAT attitude, DisneyObsession! I can SO relate to this.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It started at the beginning - I so love the drive thru for lunch... and I almost headed thru the Fast Food lane, but thought "hmmm what would Peeps do for lunch? - ie WWPD??? I know it was corny, but I do carry my imagination with me, and y'all are just figments right??? :rotfl2: WWPD has helped me pass high fat, high sugar stuff, it has helped me run that last 1/4 mile...

LOVE :thumbsup2 it. Did feel a bit silly when I saw the answer. :lmao: It was staring right at me!

now as for Uma Pepsi it is!!

I know how she feels. I'm ADDICTED to Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Have switched to iced tea recently just because I need to do SOMETHING different. Plateau is killing me.

and why are you lurking??? I wondered what happened to you today!! dont leave me!!

You have made me feel so welcome--I really didn't mean to leave you, I just feel like I need to get to know the group better before REALLY jumping in. I'm working on it. I almost PM'd you to tell you to keep your chin up - I'm so sorry you aren't feeling your best, but to be honest, I don't know the protocols about PMs...so...Keep your chin up! This too will pass! It's always darkest before the storm...Ack. Enough pith. I do care that you're not feeling 100% and hope you have a sunnier day soon. :flower3:

Unfortunately, I'm also coming down the home stretch of a LARGE conference I'm doing in Atlanta one week before DH and I take our entire Grand Gathering of a family to visit the mouse. Just a bit on the stressed :scared1: and time-constrained side. (Actually, what this means is that you'll probably be seeing a lot MORE of me in here. This is one of my favorite forms of procrastination!)

Ok, for those enquiring minds who want to know, I'll tell you my little story. I have to preface it with my dh's schedule is crazy. He works full time at night and is going to school full time during the day. He also has a second side job besides being very busy with church stuff. So between his and my schedules we rarely see eachother let alone have intamite "moments"............... yesterday we were having said moment after dinner. Dd Bailie was waiting for dh to help her study for a test. With perfect comedic timing that only an innocent child could have from down the hall Bailie yells "DAD!! Are you comeing yet????".......................................I warned you way too much information! But I laughed for about an hour afterwards and then had a headache from laughing so hard.

You stopped the thread cold for a few minutes!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: At least it wasn't you yelling that!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The amount of people posting their Weight Progress has dropped to about half!
Today only 17, it used to be around 33. Did we overwelm some peeps?

I posted earlier today, but it isn't here. :confused3 Up .5, but that isn't bad considering it was my birthday on Wed. Sorry I didn't get it on here earlier. DH took me out for a birthday dinner tonight. Went to a Jap. Steakhouse. It was yummy, but lets just say that it didn't stay in my system long. :rolleyes1 Kinda upset the tummy a little. :rolleyes1

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRAN!!!! pixiedust: :bday: party: :cake: Hope you have a great one!

MHL - So sorry about your bunny. Losing a pet is so hard.:sad1:

Lynda - Let me know how that new bed sleeps. Still shopping here. :rolleyes1 Might get one for a b'day present.

I am starting to feel better. Got some medicine that is breaking up all this stuff in my head. I think I may have lost that 1/2 pound gain with the stuff I have blown out of my head! ;) :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Winkers - :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Thanks for sharing! That is hilarious! Thanks for making my evening.

Winkers~ That is FUNNY!! :lmao: :lmao:

I GOT IT! Is there CHARMS we can do instead of beads?????

   What do you think MHL??

I thought about charms too. I love them and they are pretty easy to work with. I looked at the mouseshoppe site for a few mins, I think I have a new favorite site! Well, nothing can replace DIS, so second favorite.

I have a few pix of my jewelry on line. I was playing with setting up an online gallery and maybe small scale retail site for my stuff. www.geocities.com/baby_dreaming73/noni_m_designs

Thanks to everyone who sent love and hugs for our loss. It means a lot to me that I have so many friends that will thin about me and uplift me if I need it. I am truly blessed to have each and every one of you in my life.

I've got to go, we're having problems with the kids computer and DH need the laptop for something.

I LOVE those!!

BORG = another Peep saying, when you post alike, or at the same time, or you think alike - Dr Pepper is for me!! My downfall, my "nectar" my tag!!

I knew it - I could feel it - because I almost posted "where is Karen anyway?!! Jumping in may be hard, but it is ever so helpful!! Thank you so much for the kind words... I tend to go "off" and just "blog" here on the thread... I looked into joining the journal thread - but I'm afraid its another thing I wont follow thru on!! Just hang in with us, we'll rope you in and drag you in the wagon!! :dance3:

Ok Minnie, that's hysterical, Moo tipping!! You have a fierce sense of humor - I love your posts, and your cow references always make me giggle, often when I least expect it!! and please... Thank you for sharing - it is a struggle, no matter where we are, or we wouldnt be here together...

(Hmmmm I just heard a song..."together" I'm so totally a dork!!)

Winkers that is so funny!! DH and I had an "incident" :rotfl2: well actually a "miscommunication" and I had to call him at work to tell him what I thought he meant... he felt silly that he missed the signal, that HE said!! :rotfl2: We still get a great giggle out of it!!

for those interested, i wanted to update you on my trial. it was declared a mistrial because of a hung jury. they deliberated all day today and then around 5:30 sent out a note that they just couldn't agree and felt like they were at a stopping point. so the judge declared a hung jury and a mistrial. so frustrating for everyone involved, the jury especially. but it really was a hard case to decide. this is the second time this case was declared a mistrial. the first time was because the victim (a deputy) was working courthouse security the day of jury selection and interacted with all the jurors as they entered the building. that's kinda against the rules! duh! not his fault though....he was just doing what he was told.

here are the only two articles i could find on it. i'm sure there will be more next week b/c these look like they are only up-to-date through yesterday.

i'm off to catch up on the day's chatter. hope everyone had a good weigh-in friday! :)

TWO DAYS IN A ROW!! :cool1:

and I dont think I'm going to make it :faint:

My shins hurt, my left thigh... dH says its about 1 1/4 mile I've been traveling, today was tough... WWPD?? I put on my workout clothes and decided I wasnt taking them off till I got out there! No excuse. I made it! DH says the first 2 weeks are the hardest... omg, its going to get worse?

On my Ipod I start with Aretha and RESPECT... in the middle is carpenters, I need to switch that out - through some Judds in there.. right at the last quarter mile... Clay Ailen comes on Measure a Man - what an inspirational song - It makes me think of Jesus - and I raise my hands and get through that last 1/4...

so, I made it.

I drank my water, and am having more.
Tuna for lunch
all bran for snack
vitamins and v8 juice
Popcorn for snack
salad and chicken for dinner...

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: WAY TO GO SANDY!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

You are a much better woman than I!!!!

Count me in for the challenege! I think a bracelet is cool. Or I could contribute $5, whatever we all decide works for me.

Weight Watchers didnt someone design a bracelet to help count your point totals??

off to google!!
I have one that WW used to sell. It is beads, and every 5th bead is a differetn color so you can easliy count them. There is a clasp charm thingy on it and you move it around the bracelet as you use your points every day. I need to dig mine back out. I made my own version, much prettier. Even if I forgot to move the charm, just wearing it helped to anchor me and keep my mind on my food for the day.

:rotfl:  :lmao: That is too funny!!

So I think I posted earlier, but if not- I was a samer this week.

I need to re-commit this week and kick it up a notch. I just got back from one of those meal assembly places (you make a bunch of meals and put them in freezer bags so you always have something fast and easy for dinner.) I studied the menu ahead of time so I made smart choices. Now I have no excuses. I have 12 ready to go healthy dinners in my freezer. I think it is cheaper too- $100 for 12 meals. That's good, right? They use all fresh ingredients too.

On another note, today was my second day with my 'new kids' and I am loving it! Amanda loves having a playmate (she kept calling the little girl her sister all day long  ) and I got so much done here this week it is crazy! I was able to keep my laundry moving, stay caught up on the dishes and kitchen mess and stuff like that, things I usually spend a whole Saturday doing. I wasnt doing anything too time intensive though, I mean I had kids to watch you know;) But I could get used to working from home! Hey, maybe I should have the kids do a little cleaning while they are here! Now that is an idea :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: I love it!! It looks like me trying to do situps!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Maybe that's why I don't do sit-ups yet!!! I need one of those Pilates platforms I saw on some show so I don't have to get up from the floor.
