I was not able to book POP on phone, but got it ONLINE -I have ressies for POP AND FREE DINING!!
and I have a lonely dd10 - she is quite personable, can babysit, and follow (ok she annoys her older brother and cousins) older kids... she can talk about anything...
UMA - I'm down for wanting Pop (used) mugs... maybe I'll just bring our Polynesian mugs!!
I couldn't think of a more fitting person to receive the first Peep of the Week! With out her, we wouldn't be here!Congratulations to UTAHMAMA aka WENDY for being our first Peep of the Week!
I had a chance to sit and talk with this Peep and here is what she had to say:
1. What motivates you on your journey to lose weight / get healthy / maintain, etc? What "diet" program are/were you following?
I lost a TON (over 130) of wt. a few years ago when did South Beach. It was soooo easy then! This time, maybe I've doomed my metabolism by not exercising and yo-yoing too much?
The prospect of a PEEP meet REALLY motivates me!
2. What would be your tip to the rest of the Peeps to help them on their journey? (i.e. not eating after 7 or writing things down, etc.)
I say only drink water (or Crystal Lite) and
excersice! (I need too listen to that!)and weigh daily so it doesn't ever get out of control!
3. When did you join the DIS? Do you remember your first post?
Back in July 06 we were planning out WDW vacation and stumbled upon it!
4. When did you join the Peeps? Why did you seek Peep support?
See post #1 ...because I need to be accountable to someone else or I quit too easy!
5. Tell us about your family. Any kids, spouses, pets?
More than one spouse??? LOL...
Awsome DH, DS who is almost 18 works at Arbys and is FUNNY! DS 8 is sensitive yet silly and loves scouting. DS 7 is my shy one. Shy but very loving. DD2 was a surprise and is always surprising us!
2 Golden Retriever Dogs, Clifford and Amber. 2 cats, Meep and Abby.
6. What do you do as a career? (yes, stay at home mom is a career)
The majority of my personal income is from my 3 daycare kids. I also sell Scentsy Candles which I LOVE. Before Norah was born, I did hair. I'd like to do aesthetics (facials, waxing, etc.) when she's bigger!
7. Has joining the Peeps changed you? How so?It has brought me together with fabulous friends who also struggle with losing weight...I LOVE all the peeps!!!

9. What makes you laugh? Cry?
Everything (almost) makes me laugh! There is humor everywhere!!!! Even family gettogethers where there's drama, I find entertaining. It's ALL about your attitude!
Sad commercials and sad movies make me cry.
10. What are some of your favorite Disney things? (rides, resorts, movies, characters, etc.)
I love Jungle Cruise for it's nostalgia. I love EE for the new thrill. I like Tower of Terror and Roack'nRollercoaster. I like Boma and the Grand Tea at GF. I'd LOVE to stay at the POLY someday. I love all the movies but find it odd the classic cartoons all have missing mothers (or fathers). My favorite character is Miss Piggy but she's not fully disney. I like Pooh too because he's always rumbly in his tumbly! My favorite bad-guy is Ursula

My dear Peeps, my Grandma passed away this afternoon. I'm envisioning her celebrating in heaven with my Mom, Aunt, Grandpa and other assorted relatives tonight. I'm glad I was able to spend some time with her over the last few days.

My aunt called today and said my grandpa is in the hospital and might not make the wedding. He had prostrate trouble a year ago and now something is up with his kidneys. He may go home tomorrow but might not be comfortable at the wedding b/c he has felt very weak. This is a guy that golfs 6 days a week...sometimes in the snow! So I am very upset b/c it is my mom's dad. I have no other grandparents that can come. Two are deceased and the other has dimentia in a nursing home. So I am sad. I had my great aunt and uncle drop out as well b/c he had to have a pacemaker put in last week and they can't make the trip from FL. So...I am a little bummed tonight on top of stressed over stupid sister in-law. I am trying to keep my spirits up though! Thanks for everything guys..this board is a lifesaver!!

COngrats to everyone that is going to the peep meet. Those of you that are there on the 24th can celebrate my DS 13th b-day.
I am home again with Joshua --he had a relapse of the bug--so I called the Dr. and they said people are getting it 2 and three times tht it is a horrible bug--they are puttin him on some meds to he can keep some stuff in his system. What goes in double or triple comes out. Hopefully this will pass soon.
