3 reasons why utahmama is the coolest:

1. she has the best TRs!!! i can literally use the internet term LOL when reading them and really mean it!

2. i love her attitude about her kids. i even told my DH about how she posts a picture of her littlest one and calls it "birth control".

3. she just seems like someone i'd love to be around!!!

I am so happy for your family! My wife's brother was in Afghanistan a few years ago, and I remember how nerve racking it was for all of us and how happy we were when he was safe and sound in the good ol' US-of-A.

Why I agree UtahMama is a totally amazing choice for the Inaugural Peep of the Week:

1. She inspires me! (She has lost bunches of the ol' weightola.)
2. I the pic of her with her Pepsi at Ice Station Cool in her siggie!

Ya'll, I'm so jealous that you're meeting up! I REALLY wanna go to WDW this year, but it's just NOT going to happen! I told DH today that I can't wait to be out of debt & done with school so we can buy a house and go to WDW, then admitted that I'd rather go to WDW than get a house! It's sick!

Sorry if this gets really long!
It has been a horrible day, aside from us getting our trip booked of course. I feel like ever since I left the house after hearing that it was booked, my day has gotten worse and worse.

I was late to teach my dance kids this morning..oops! Totally my fault but this peep meet stuff is serious business. Then they were absolutely AWFUL today! Talking while I was talking, acting like hooligans. It was rough.

After that it was one thing after another, little stuff all day long and we were late to meet a friend for lunch.

As we pulled into the parking lot, I got a call from my nanny job...with no notice and no explanation, THEY FIRED ME!! I was supposed to work tomorrow and he said they will pay me for that but "their needs have changed, and it was a personal and private matter, a conversation maybe for another time and place." I asked if it was something I did, and he assured me twice that it wasnt and they would give me a reference. He said they would mail my check or I could come by tomorrow and get it..ummm I now have no plans for tomorrow since you FIRED me, so I will come by, thanks! He then backpeddled saying they would leave it in the mailbox for me, in case they werent home. Yeah right, you just dont want to see me. Probably why the wife made him call. What could have changed since yesterday at 3pm??? He was even talking to me about my hopefully upcoming disney trip! I know it had nothing to do with finances or lack of a way to pay me. The husband was just telling me yesterday about a company they are starting and their investors, and they were never private about money.

I know this job wasnt perfect, but it paid me and now I am stuck and soon to be broke. It allowed me to teach my dance classes, and a full time job wont do that. Part time gigs are hard to find and I am now 5 weeks from the recital. I cant quit on those kids if I found a full time job, so I am stuck until summer. I dont know if they dont realize that or dont care. She hired me when she was pregnant back in October. I worked a day or 2 before the baby was born and then she had me wait about 6 weeks until I started...without paying me a retainer or anything. I was loyal to her and didnt ever consider trying to replace her during that time. I just didnt get the loyalty or respect back from them.

Want to hear how shady this family was? A few weeks ago she found out I was looking for another part time job, by seeing a post I had on the nanny board she found me on. Not a secret really, but none of her buisiness since she didnt want me full time. I have a right to fill my other days, right? Well, she went as far as to create an alias and bogus email account to try to see if I would leave her for a full time job. (I found where she wrote the email account info on her kitchen counter, not stealthily hidden, so that is how I know it was her) I of course had already replied to this person that I only wanted part time...blah, blah, blah..but how crappy is that to do to the person you hired? So no matter what they tell me anymore, I feel like I cant trust them. That is part of why I am so hurt I guess. I just dont believe this was not my fault somehow.

I want to tell them, either email or a letter when I get my check or something, but I dont know what good that will do really. I just want them to know that they really put me in a bad position and I feel betrayed.

I cant help but wonder what I did that caused this? I am really hurt and it has made me doubt myself like never before. I am crying now...

Dance ( how sad is it I don't know your real name??), here's a big for you! From what you said about this lady, you are probably better off without her! I'm, sure it has nothing to do with what you did, if it was, why would they be so "shadey" about it? I think you should tell them what position this puts you in. You deserve to be treated better!
