but then he cracked up when he saw the 2 funny ones that we got him to put on his fridge.....

Your Dad's dog looks just like my Buddy! Only difference is Buddy's ears are tan not brown!
 prayers and lots of pixie dust coming your way. pixiedust:

Thanks!

thanks! he's the one with the blue hair.

oh, and nevermind on the pixie dust. my sister just called me and said that his part of the show got cancelled. the bass player didn't show and you apparently can't have a drummer without a bass player. so the band just decided to do a set like they normally do.....without either! such a disappointment for him. :sad2: i called him and he was upset, but said that he's practicing with a band he likes better tomorrow night anyway.

I have to check out the link to see the band. SOrry he didn;t get to play tonight! to him!

Pixie: I am so sorry about your cousin. Yes of course you have my prayers.

I don't have any kids to dance with and the dogs would just look at me like I was nuts.

But then again, I'm hungry enough to have a bologna and ketchup sandwich right now. Thank goodness dinner is in 50 minutes.

That was the whole point of the challenge. Release your inhibitions!

I didn't know that a bologna and ketchup sandwich could create so much discussion.:rotfl:

I met the challenge! 20 minutes of aerobic fat burning dancing:banana:

Oddly enough the following songs add up to exactly 20 minutes:
Down Under by Men at Work
Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics
Hungry like the Wolf by Duran Duran
Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo
Shake It Up by The Cars

and then I did 5 minutes of crunches, leg lifts etc to She Blinded Me by Science by Thomas Dolby

My kids "helped"... especially the little gymnasts who told me my crunches were not "real sit ups"

I am hungry! I am not even limiting my calories yet just trying to not eat sweets or binge eat. It is a long hard road but I will not give up.

Love the playlist. Kids are the best audience and critics. I'm not hungry. My tummy and brain are not in synch with each other. And I have my hands over my ears. I am not listening to the tummy growls! LA LA LA LA LA LA....

Another day and we melted more yucky gross fat!

Keep it up everyone. We can and will do this.
Pixie dust to your brother Punkin! How did your Dad and stepmom like the pictures you guys had done for Christmas. You may have already said but I've missed alot!

I feel short today. I am 5'8". I have always been the tallest girl in my family. Now my DD(16) is 5'10" and just discovered that DD(14) is even with me! Then I come on here and discover that I'm short here too! 5"8" used to be tall!

Asking for some prayers and Pixie Dust for my cousin. She is 1 year younger than me (44) and just found out she has cancer of the colon and the liver. She has a very long road ahead of her. She says she refuses to die from this, because she simply cannot. She has five kids. The oldest is 14. I'd really appreciate your prayers on this one.

Pakey, any words of wisdom you have on this would be most welcome. We found out just before Christmas, and this is the first time I've even written about it because it's too hard to even think about. But I guess writing about it is good, because I'm having my first good cry about it now, and I guess I need to do that. What can I do to help her through this. Of course, I'll let her know that I'll do absolutely anything, but she probable won't ask. She has 5 siblings, all living close by, so she's set on babysitting, meals etc. I've already told her Mom (my godmother) that they can call us for anything. Growing up my cousin lived on the bottom of the hill and my family lived on the top of the hill, probable about 1/8 mile apart. We always got matching Chrsitmas presents. I particularly remember our tutus. Mine was blue and hers was purple. We picked them out together from the JC Penney catalogue for Christmas one year.

am i the only one that is missing my little flea/bug/whatever that six-legged creature was that was once in my signature????

Nope mine's gone too! :confused3 Where did it go? When did it leave?

Sorry I am trying to order a case of water from Costco, and get it sent to Pop, so I'm a little sidetracked at the moment.

am i the only one that is missing my little flea/bug/whatever that six-legged creature was that was once in my signature????

Your creepy flea is showing up in your signature on my laptop!

I gotta tell you all those bugs really freak me out! THey are even worse than  and:dancer:

Dawn Just doing a quick fly by but had to post and say that I love the pic of your dad, you can see the emotion on his face. I find it so hard to find anything special to ever do for my parents so it's great so see that you guys succeeded at it.

I've off to dance like a fool in the other room for a few minutes. Monica, I have so many inhibitions that if I got rid of them, I would probably meet my goal weight automatically. I look crazy enough standing still these days so if someone were to catch me in motion, I'd probably make the news as a crazy person. Allie, if I see you in the airport though, I will act a little crazy, at least for me.

Count me into the somewhat tall crowd... 5'8".

I did pretty well today, first day back on. Drank all my water, and kept it at about 1250 calories. B-fast was coffee (yes, I know), lunch was a banquet fried chicken meal (420), dinner was a tuna sandwich (300) and a chef boyardee mac&cheese (180) and a hershey's dark chocolate mini (40), and had one piece of cheese + 4 crackers (100) and a bag of FF popcorn (200) for snacks.

One day down, many, many more to go...

Sorry about your brother D.

And I agree, that flea is creepy...

I am trying to order a case of water for me and dd next week. When I enter in Pop's address, it tells me that no address is found. :confused3 Do I just go ahead and ship it since I KNOW this is the right address. Does Costco not know where Disney is? Please HELP!!!!!!!

There was a lot of posting today! I'm a couple of pages behind, but wanted to answer this. I'll come back to finish later.
Danielle How was Monterey? Did you get rid of the See's? I made DH take all the rest to work this morning.

Monterey was BEAUTIFUL! We had sunshine and everything. DH even walked to the beach with me to watch the sun go down. It was so romantic.

DH found ANOTHER box of See's candy. We put it out on NYE. I ate more than enough. There is one lonely piece of white chocolate sitting in the box.

Today was a rough start to the diet because we took a road trip to my niece's house in Atwater (your neck of the woods, right Pakey?), and road trips are always a trigger for eating for me. Plus, my niece had made us chocolate chip cookies. I didn't quite make 1200 calories, but it was under 1300.

Pixie dont feel short. I am really short- try 5 feet and ZERO inches. My son is 6'2, my dd1 is 5'2 and dd2 who is eleven is at my eyebrows. Once my dd1 called me a shrimp- and that precious angel dd2 told me- its ok mama- shrimp are GOOD!! So if you want you can be one of those big shrimp and I'll just be a popcorn shrimp- both are GOOD!

I'm so used to seeing bugs I didnt notice them missing!!

I'm tired, dD hasnt come downstairs in the last 45 min - I can go to bed now...

*snore, I'm tired, cant see straight, cant think straight - I'll have to reread everything

MELINDA Goog Morning!!:surfweb:

PD- I'm praying for your cousin. She sounds like my brother, a 2 time cancer survivor. He told me when he was going through chemo, sometimes he felt like dying, but he refused to die because he would not leave his girls fatherless. It's hard for you to know what to do. Sometimes I would take over a funny video and my brother and I would just laugh together.
How many of you wore a pin when you were a teen that said, "Why be normal?"

I did!
Nope. I had 2 pins I wore together. One said "nice Catholic girl" and the other said "Lick me!" What was I thinking? Whenever our kids act up, DH says they take after me.:confused3

OK I better get to bed now. When we weigh in on Friday, can I report my weight loss from the weight I gained that I didn't report? On 1/1, I was up higher than my starting weight, but just from yesterday morning to this morning, I lost 3.5 lbs. That's what happens when I stop doing the things that make me gain 1-2 lbs. a day.:sad2:

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I did pretty well yesterday but did succumb to the lure of the cheese dip at my friends house last night. Looked at the cookies with the "Oh, I already blew for today" look.....reached for them.....AND THREW THEM OUT! Yay! One for me!

Pixie....I'm sending lots of prayers for your cousin. She sounds like she has the right attitude and I think that counts for a LOT!

Sandy....GOOD MORNING!

If we're lining but for height....I'll stand with the short-ish crowd. I'm 5'5".

EVERYBODY HAVE A SKINNY DAY!

Danielle, you were up late. Remember adequate rest............

Morning. Yawn. Although I went to be at 11, I slept like crap! I was just so cold I couldn't get warm.

It was single digit temps out last night and my house is so poorly insulated. We really need to do something about that.

My son is still sick. I won't be sending him to school this week, only 2 days.
He has an apt tomorrow with his Dr. He still has a temp anywhere from100-102. And his cough. Yikes. I know they need to cough with pnemonia. Last night was the first we did have to give him cough medicine. Usually he'd wake up just choking coughing. Not last night. Hope that's a sign. Plus all the medicine is really bugging his stomach and he's not eating. He's only 80 pounds. I can tell he's lost weight.

He just woke up. Still has the fever. He stood up from the chair and his eyes started to bug, he said he couldn't see. He stood up too fast and he's weak. Poor kid. This is just killing me inside.

Thank You! You totally made me LOL at your flaming thighs comment!

Is yelling at your kids excercise?

Did you wave your arms? That's a total body workout.

punkin413 Sorry that your brother didn't get to play but maybe this other band is the one for him.

I met the challenge! 20 minutes of aerobic fat burning dancing:banana:

Nice song selection.

pixie dust 112 My thoughts and prayers are for your cousin and here is a hug for you

DisneyObsession I'll be going over and reading your TR later today.

That's cute about the shrimp

Yeah for throwing out the cookies. Going with everyone and the height thing, I'm 5'6" and I always was considered tall.

So sorry DS is sick. I always say a temp for that long always means something. Good thing he's going tomorrow to the doctor. Poor baby. It's cold here today too, 9 degrees, brrrrrr.

Good morning everyone. Oh gesh. I just woke up the boys for school and already they are fighting. DS6 "mom Christopher won't put on something on the TV we both like". Boy I am absolutely freezing, it's 9 degrees this morning. Yesterday was so windy too. I have to go to the grocery store and get some apples, milk, hotdog rolls (my second day of the three day diet I have to have hotdogs and have no buns for the other members of my family, I forgot them). Drinking my coffee right now with Splenda which I really don't like but I will do it for the three days. When I do WW I count my sugar and half and half in my points. It's just something I won't give up but I don't have to, I just count it. Anyway that's my day, I also might go to Babies R Us, Elizabeth needs some socks and she has a gift card for there. Have a good day everyone, hopefully I can get threw til dinner. Between lunch and dinner is my problem for snacking.

Laura

Laura....I count my cup of whole milk (for my coffee) because I'm not willing to give it up either. I know what you mean about the kids. Mine weren't moving too fast this morning. And I meant to say in my earlier post....dark chocolate covered raisins are e-vile. For that matter....dark chocolate covered ANYTHING is e-vile.

Monica....I had "walking" pneumonia once. Woke up with a low-grade fever every day for about two weeks before I went to the Dr. He gave me some antibiotics and it knocked it out pretty quickly. Give him a coupla days and he'll be feeling better.

Does your dr. recommend Mucinex D? I got DS the "mini-melts" and he liked those. They were sort of like a pixie stick but they did break up the congestion.

Hi Peeps,

I am dragging butt today. I did not make it to the gym at all this week; it was closed New Year's day and DH has been sick so he did not want to be left alone with the babies (wuss!!). I have done well with my calorie intake so I hope that helps somewhat. I am going to get to the gym tonight even if I have to step over DH as I walk out the door. Men can be such wimps when they are sick. :sad2: I know I am being mean but really... When I was pregnant with my youngest I had pneumonia and was 3 weeks passed my due date. On top of that I bruised a rib coughing. Somehow I still managed to take care of our son and the house and worked when my fever wasn't above 100. He has a headache and has to go to bed for the night. Sorry for the rant, but honestly, it makes me nuts!!

I am sorry but I can't seem to catch-up with the many pages that I have missed since my hiatus. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the start of the new year.

:grouphug: to all my Peeps!!

Daisy, I was just thinking about you yesterday. I was hoping we'd get some more West Coasters, and i wondered what happened to you. Did you end up staying in Boise? I know you talked about a possible move to CA.
Anyways, glad to see you back.

Thanks for the welcome back! I appreciate you thinking of me! We were planning on moving, and still are, but things got put on hold since I am in school and he got an awesome job at the school district here in Boise. I don't really like living here but we are making the most of it.:)

I started a spreadsheet for food tracking. I don't know which plan I'm going with at the moment so I have planned to combine a few to try to make it work. I'm going to count calories (12xgoal) and use WW points +/- slim fast foods. I know it sounds like I'm wavering but I just can't do bars and shakes all the time and all the pre-packaged things add up so quickly. I know the reason I'm struggling so badly is I don't want to plan and I really don't want to spend a few hours putting together a weeks worth of meals. I did that in the spring and I had some things go bad when I didn't eat them quickly enough.

A spreadsheet sounds like a great idea! If you are finding a plan that works, although it is not an "official" plan, go for it! :thumbsup2

January! Good to see you! I know your birthday is in January! When is it?

Your plan sounds great! I need to do that----plan my day before it starts. It would probably keep me on track a lot better than just winging it everyday.

Thanks for remembering me.:goodvibes My birthday is coming up on January 9th. I will be 31. I know that is not old but I am wondering where all the time is going?? It seems to be flying!

Lots of prayers and pixie dust to your cousin and her family. :wizard:

I hope you all are having a great morning! I threw out all of our Christmas candy that have been sitting in bowls all around the house. It was a lot of candy. The hardest to toss was the Ghiradelli squares and the Lindt truffles. They were too much of a temptation for me. I tried giving them away but no one wanted them. I guess everyone is candied-out. :confused3 I did discover one bag of Reese's peanut butter cups in the freezer this morning. I was soooo tempted...but I tossed them too.:woohoo:

Well, I got laundry to do and some vacuuming...talk to you all later!

:grouphug: to all my Peeps!!

Come here and let me just give you a huge hug! You are not alone. Nope.

The world comes to a hault when DH gets sick. He gets to rest, go to bed when he feels like it, just disappears.

If I get sick, nothing changes. I have to ask.

I can't understand how we were made from a man. We had to be the new and improved model. Honestly.

Still on Jordan's laptop. I think I'm getting the hang of it, but the sticking "O" is a pain.

born- I hear ya on sick DH's. My ex-DH was just like that and we only had one kid at the time.

Daisy- I have to say, it is really great to have you back!

Pixie- oh my goodness! Your poor cousin! Prayers on their way!

Melinda- Good for YOU! Another alternative to throwing away a tempting food is to ruin it. For example: You get a dessert and it's right there on a nice plate in front of you. Take a tiny taste, and before you can decide whether (sp?) or not it's good enough to RUIN your diet, shake a bunch of salt on it. Salty cheesecake isn't worth it, I'm thinking.

DO- I need to go read your TR!!!!
