PD, can I just piggyback on your goals for the week? Thanks, you're a pal!

Sandy, I have a secret pumpkin pie recipe, too. But mine has tofu, no Eagle Brand. I bet yours tastes better. I do use Eagle Brand for my lemon meringue pie. It is mmmmm-good! I'm afraid to know the calories on that puppy, though.

Absolutely! It will be good to have such a dear friend to hang out with!

GOOD MORNING!:sunny:

So glad to see all the "old timers" here yesterday!!! Hi, everybody! :wave2:

Sandy....so brave to do the Black Friday thing! I've got to get started shopping. Ugggg. I'm so not a shopper.

Stacey Poppins
..........:wave2: And word on the headaches?

Danielle, Lynda, Gina, Pixie, Wendee, Mel, Misty, and everyone.........:wave2:

Melinda - like your new siggy - must go change mine!! Ihave a great Christmas one too!!

Wendy - you know I'm with you, I feel your pain. Now I have that added fear - I still get dizzy, only about twice a day, and sometimes more if I forget to take the medicine... I'm just really really scared. Yet, I know I cannot use it for an excuse... which is my forte, I just want to go crawl into my hole, watch tv... and ignore the obvious. I can fix it, if I work at it! :grouphug: I know I can drink more water... I'm going to try and use weights (5#) to do lunges and arm stuffs... maybe gtry and do some sit ups!

Everyone must have eaten themselves into a Turkey induced coma, because this place is quiet with a capital "Q". But major props to Celery, Lynda, Faith, and Ms. SingingMUA (sorry, I forgot your name!) for reaching their Turkeyday goals!!! I didn't do so good, which is a little embarrassing since I'm the one who initiated this thing. But I as said yesterday, my Christmas goal will be to lose a measly 4.2 pounds so I can finally, once and for all, be at 175. I've got Gina and Lynda tentatively marked down for 5 lbs. Anybody else???

Anyone else want to set 3 GOALS for this week? One's that you PROMISE to do every day?

Here's my three:

  1. Stop the mindless nibbling at night.
  2. Don't sneak an extra portion, helping, scoop, spoonful or ladle of whatever it is I am having for supper. Those few extra calories add up!
  3. Get back into a good routine of doing Yoga or Pilates every night, no matter how comfy I am on the couch.

Eh, it's my own fault.
My personal goals, by UtahMama:

1. drink water or Crystal Lite 2:1 to diet soda. THIS has never been done, people!

2. one meal each day has to be all veggie. (And not added cheese...DUH)

3. 30 minutes min. on the tread mill each day starting today. This is up from zero minutes per day.

There. Those 3 little goals. 3 baby steps.

I'm in too.

1. Count my points (I'm on WW)
2. Drink 64 oz water every day (with crystal light mix-ins)
3. Go to the gym and walk on the treadmill for 40 minutes at least 3 days.

Laura

I love the 3 goals idea, Wendy! I didn't do too badly with Thanksgiving (I made big portions of the meal, then didn't have much appetite, which was FINE with me!).

My weigh-in this week was wonderful! I LOST TWO POUNDS! Let's hope I don't find them.

My three goals are:

1. Drink 6 8oz glasses of water every day
2. Walk 30 minutes every day
3. Do Pilates 2 times before next Friday

That's not so bad, is it? I'm only about 2 months from our trip to WDW and I really, really, really don't want to have that fat, uncomfortable feeling...you know what I'm talking about.

Today we did some Christmas shopping. The area where our mall (and lots of other stores and restaurants) is located was CRAMMED. I just had this thought that most of us here in the US are so wealthy, relative to just about any other country. Just made me think, that's all. I know I have plenty to be thankful for, and all of you are on the list! Thanks for your encouragement, silent or spoken!

Yay to all the Three Goalers! But ya have to promise to do em! It's an experiment to see if making little changes help. ONly do the 3 in addition to whatever you already do (or don't do in my case).

I am weighing daily and was down 2 since yesterday. Which is hopeful. Coincidentally or not, my 24 hours of effort have paid off 2 pounds.

I WISH it was 2 pounds per day :wizard:

WIDF Aaron- OK, I may be cursing myself but put me down for 11 pounds by Christmas Day (so it'll look good next friday when I report my at least 2 pound loss...I'm sort of a big fat cheater that way).

Mindless Nibbling at night is my middle name! That'll be next weeks goal.

Ok so I wieghed myself and I am +2 from my earlier weights! Ahhh! I guess I am starting fresh! ;)

My goals for this week:
1. Go to the gym 3 times (I go Tues night and Sat morning with my boyfriend but I think its time I take the initiative!)
2. No candy at work-- too many places in the Social Studies office for secret stashes!
3. Play with the dog (Liam) everyday.
And I guess I should piggyback on the water with everyone else... I usually do well since thats all I 3ever have to drink at work!

Anyways... thought I would shamelessly plug my new Pre-Pre-Trip-Report and PTR link from the Passporter boards (if anyone here is a memeber there also)...

http://www.passporterboards.com/for...pre-pre-trip-report-help-me-plan-my-trip.html

Have a great rest of weekend! Today is my sisters birthday and I have to head over to my moms house in a bit!

Hi Everyone!

Just checking in to say hi. I've been sooooooo busy this past week. Only 2 more weeks of school for this semester and only 3 weeks until Disney World. I can't wait but I do have enough to keep me busy and it will be here before I know it. Later Peeps!

I didn't lose any weight this week. I'm a samer!

Hi peeps.

Aaron Put me down for 5 lbs for Christmas. I'm trying to be realistic with this upcoming week being in Las Vegas with meals reservations already made to eat French one night, Italian one night and Southwest one night. I'm just hoping not to gain this week.

Wendy Great idea on the goals. I'm going to set mine as:

1. Drink 64oz of water each day
2. Do my situps and bun-crunches each day.
3. Start a daily journal of calories consumed and calories burned via exercise.

I hope everyone is having a marvelous long weekend.

Thanks for asking about the headaches, Melinda. I had a horrible one on Thanksgiving day. I have had about one a week the last couple of months. Very frustrating, but still no idea where they are coming from.

I saw Heather before the Thanksgiving break and she looks great - like she was never pregnant. Good job, Heather!

Wendy, maybe my 3rd goal should be to call YOU once or twice a week to make sure we're staying on track!! :thumbsup2

Together, WE CAN accomplish!! hang on Peeps!!

oh, another goal -

NO FAST FOOD!!

I hate that I succumb to that evil, as I was shopping at 7am this am, I stopped at mickeyD's at 8ish and thought, well if I have iced tea instead of coke - maybe I'll be closer to goal?? -:sad2:

Aaron...You can put me down for 5 lbs by Christmas as well. I can do it and if I get more off by then...all the better!!!!

Wendy...I  the 3 Goal idea! Here are mine...
1) Drink 64oz water daily
2) Excercise 30 min 3x's this week
3) No sweets all week. (chocolate and any other carb-laden sweet!)

OK...and here is a sneak preview of my upcoming TR...

i was on my way to bed here in good ole gallatin, tennessee and i decided to start up the laptop to see if i could get a wireless signal and......what do you know........i can! so i'm bumming one of my mom's neighbor's internet connection right now! :rotfl: hope you all had a very happy thanksgiving!!!! i'm tired from all the visiting i've been doing. that and i went to a vanderbilt football game today and froze my butt off in sleet while watching my team get clobbered. but the good part is i had a DIS meet. vandyfan10 had told me she'd be at the game and she ended up sitting with us.......she's super cool! :cool2: i'll be back tomorrow night to do a little catch-up......see you then! :flower3:

I went to the gym today, and inexplicably, my weight was up 2 more lbs:scared1: . I decided not to panic. My sister called and asked me if I wanted to go to the outlet stores, so I said yes. I ate a south beach peanut butter bar before we left, since my sisters are notorious for shopping till they drop. We went to Chico's, but even at the outlet, everything I liked was too much ($80 for a work skirt? no thanks) We went to Coldwater Creek, and I loved EVERYTHING! I really rarely buy clothes (my sister was teasing me because I just threw out a long sleeve t-shirt that was thirty years old), so my husband sent me with specific instructions to buy myself some clothes. I bought 4 skirts, 1 t-shirt, 1 jacket that went really well with one of the skirts, and a black outfit with pants, a camisole, and a floral, see-through poncho/shirt type cover. Everything was 40% off today, so I ended up spending $160. I thought that was pretty good. I also got some Corningware dishes at their outlet store. That was a good thing, as my previous microwavable dishes were some that I rescued when my sister was throwing them away 20 years ago.:sad2:
We ate at Applebee's when we were finished, and I was starving by then. I had 10 tortilla chips and the chili/lime chicken salad from the WW menu. Not the best tasting, but at least I left full and satisfied that I had maintained self-control.
My Christmas goal is 8 lbs. from today, since I expect the freakish 2 lb. gain to disappear rapidly. That would mean my weight at the gym would be 148. Wish me luck!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Saw Enchanted last night! You girls (and Aaron) will love it!

Danielle! BARGAINS! I love bargains! Sounds like you did well! My weight never stays constant. Don't worry about the mystery 2#. How was Mad TV last night?

Stacey
....Wish the Dr. could find out what's causing those headaches! Can you even function when you have one or do you just have to go to a dark room and wait for it to go away??

Gayle! What a fun picture! I know you girls had a great time! Did you turn them all into Disney lovers?

Fran
....I don't know if I ever asked you....Did you get the CP dinner package for Christmas Eve??

Punkin....Sorry about Vandy! But yay for a DIS meet and a pilfered internet connection!

Sandy! Just say no to Mickey D's! I like your new siggie too!

HAVE A WONDERFUL, RELAXING, BLESSED SUNDAY EVERYONE! :wave2:

Wendy, maybe my 3rd goal should be to call YOU once or twice a week to make sure we're staying on track!! :thumbsup2

NO FAST FOOD!!

That's a great one Sandy! If I go I always plan to get just a happy meal, but always end up with an adult meal including those yummy fires! I should just stay away completely:thumbsup2

Thanks for asking about the headaches, Melinda. I had a horrible one on Thanksgiving day. I have had about one a week the last couple of months. Very frustrating, but still no idea where they are coming from.

Hey!! Good to see you on. It was good to see you at the daycare.

AARON--TG I lost 5 punds so for Christmas my goal is 10 pounds.

UTAH--my 3 goals are 1) drink more WATER
2) Count WW points
3) MOVE IT, MOVE IT, and MOVE some more

Getting ready for church so I need to go.

I'm confused. We went out bumming today (the Packers played on Thursday, otherwise I would have been glued to the TV today), and one of our stops was Kohl's department store. Because of my weight loss since last winter, my winter coat fits funny; luckily Kohl's was having a sale (but don't they always?), so I thought I would check out their selection. They had Columbia coats marked down from $200 to $120. Now, I hate the idea of spending over $100 on a winter jacket, but in Wisconsin you need something warm when you are out in the winter. I couldn't decide which coat felt the warmest, so I thought I would do a little research on the internet before I made a purchase. Now here's where the confusion comes in. None of the styles of Columbia coats that Kohl's offers seems to exist outside of Kohl's. I can't find any reviews on them, and they don't even show up on the Columbia website. So I am guessing Columbia either produces exclusive lines for Kohl's, or they "rebrand" existing ones with a different name for sale in department stores. But the problem is, I refuse to spend >$100 on a coat that may or may not keep me warm. So my quest continues to find out exactly what the deal is with these Columbia coats that are only sold at Kohl's. :confused3

Anyway, sorry about the long ramble. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

PD, I'm sending you a big  . We went to Fresh Choice today, and I tried to be good, but I felt like I blew it somewhat. Since you and I agreed to track our calories, I went to their website and looked up everything I ate. My total calories for today was 1605. That's 100 calories under my upper calorie limit, so I'm OK. If I hadn't tracked that, I might have gone into a tailspin like I have before, thinking that I never have any control, and who knows where the damage would end. So hurray for tracking calories!
