Can I jump in on this thread too?

I've got a little over a year before our next trip, and I want to do some serious damage to my excess pudge in that time. Heck, if I do enough, I might even consider going with DH and kiddos to the water parks....:scared1:

I went to the water parks when I weighed 319.
I was on the beach in mexico and the cayman islands and I climbed Dunn's river falls!
lose weight for you, not for what everyone else thinks!

so how am *I* going to get back on track?

2 pounds gained scares the bejezzus outta me.
I think I need to be added to the Thanksgiving challenge. I will lose 5 pounds by Thanksgiving!!

My new goal is to go walking 3 times per week.

of course! WELCOME!!!! weigh-ins are on fridays (so weigh yourself today so you can compare it to next friday!). we post our loss or gain in big, bold pretty numbers so wendy or melinda can keep a tally. you'll love it here!!!

Punkin...Your Santa story is adorable! Sounds like he was just trying to brighten the day of some kids.:santa: However,,,why was he in the little alleyway and NOT in the main part of the mall?!? :confused3

oh, it wasn't creepy because of the location or anything. there's a side parking lot a lot of people don't know about back there and i'm sure that's where he parked. during christmas they have a train set for the kids to ride set up through there. so it's not a dark creepy alleyway or anything! he was probably on his way inside the mall.

I could lose that much too if I amputated a limb. Or had organ reduction surgery. Who needs livers and kidneys and spleens???? Or started a nasty meth addiction (Naw, tooth retention is important to me). Or harvested tape worms in my intestines (heeeeeey, I think I'm onto something!).

But this morning at 6:30 as I was munching on a resses peanut butter cup I relized I've got to get a grip!

i have to share this with you all. when i called to reschedule some of my ADRs this morning i got a CM who was very......um.......breathy. she should've been working for a phone sex company rather than disney!!!! it was kinda scary! :scared:

I 100% agree and thanks for reminding me of it. I went to Hawaii and laid out at the pool every day. I've never run into anyone I saw over there:rotfl2:

Jelly: Hi! I'm the resident male she's referring to! A few weeks ago I decided to challenge myself to reach a certain goal (in my case 175 lbs, which was something like 7.4 pounds at the time) by Thanksgiving; and I thought I'd have a better chance of reaching that goal if I gave myself a little accountability by posting it here for the world (or at least the Peeps) to see. Then I thought "wouldn't it be fun to invite others to challenge themselves, too?" Thus, the Thanksgiving challenge was born. I'd love to include you, too! Here is the list, so you can get an idea of what others have challenged themselves to do.

Well, I was +.5:sad2: I guess that is actually not too bad since I had the preschool eatfest, oh I mean party, and Halloween, and the fact that I can't run this week. Thanks to my son's hockey coach falling on my leg. :headache: Hopefully by next week, I'll be back to my 5k training. We go in two months! :cool1: :cool1:

Hi to our newcomers!!:wave2: and :welcome: My name is Allie! I am currently doing WW, and have lost a total of 12 lbs. since August. I am running the 5K in January at AK with my dd. A girls only trip! :cool1: :yay:
 
Today I weighed in. Oh the reality of what's in front of me!

Other than a big belly, lots of hard work.

Hopefully I can contribute to the mass of losses next Friday.

Evidently, I have no known metabolism. Thanks to being on a diet for 3 years straight. Guess how much I weighed 3 years ago? (No don't!) I weigh the same! ACK!!!!

I am -2 ! I feel like doing the happy dance. I have been really watching everything I eat and it has finally paid off.

My husband is an exporter and sends most of his product to the USA. This high canadian dollar is not good for his business but it is amazing for those canucks traveling to the states. I think I am going to do some cross boarder shopping next weekend with my girlfriend. Just to give you am idea about how crazy the $ is...6 years ago $64 USD was equal to $100 CND. Today $100 USD is $93 CND. $1000 disneydollars used to cost me $1562.50 CND today its only $934.00 Cnd. Thats a lot of pixy dust !

This makes our Disneyland vacation (Feb/March) much more affordable. :banana:

I am off to make dinner for my little monkeys...Hope you all have a "skinny" weekend..."step away from the Halloween goodies !"

i have a question about an AP code and figured someone here would know.....if not i'll post it on the codes forum.

if, for example, an AP discount code comes out for april 15 - 30 and we're staying from april 25 through may 5, will the AP code exist for the may nights too or only for the april nights? i'm not asking for me, but for a friend. thanks!
 
Since joining WISH, I've lost 2.2 lbs. Overall, I've lost 13.7 lbs since this semester started! :sulley: :banana: :hippie:
 
Dawn---They use to allow you to do that--just like if you started in a value season and went into the holiday season you could keep the same rate. Well in 2008 that will change. If you start in value and end in holiday you pay the price for each one. I think the same is going to work for other rates as well. Hope I didn't muddy the water even more. I would just call and ask.

Kim: Congrats on the loss. I'm glad your DL vacation will be a bargain for you. I'm getting a little worried about what my Paris vacation is going to cost me 10 months from now. EeeeeeK!!!!!

I was thinking today about my Thanksgiving goal and just wanting to lose weight in general. And especially not gain a ton of weight like I did last year around this time (all that Holiday food, starting with Halloween candy) and I was thinking of some "plans". Well I realized that I actually eat more junk and end up usually gaining when I'm trying to "be good" and serious. When I don't think about "being good" or counting points/calories, I usually maintain and usually lose a pound, gain it back, lose it again. Not consistent losing, but losing none the less and definitely better than a gain. Interesting thoughts huh? But how do I "not think about it" while also managing to lose weight every week? :confused3
