Utahmama started this thread - then along came info about a WDW 5K race and half marathon, and full marathon Jan 11-13 or near that - so lots of posting about should we? could we? and plans formulated... dh mentioned that for me a 5K would just be "a good day shopping, or a day in the parks"

of course he was right... but then he said "if you're serious, then train for the half and I'll do the full marathon - and we can go just the 2 of us" So I did... and THEN FREE DINING hit, and peeps jumped all over that - including us!
But we had already committed to the half and full - and we're staying at BCV!!

(only a studio, would love that jucuzzi tub in the 1bedroom!)
Oh, and I wanted to add I have a ds 22 and ds 19 - both in college - 22yr old just got engaged, and is planning a Jan '09 wedding. I'm sure the 19yr old will follow soon after!! DH and I've been married 26 years - I feel very blessed. I just need to commit stronger to me... and less to just eating because of emotional wranglings in my head!!

DD did fine on the plane ride, not quite as anxious as the trip there - but her disaster this trip was food. She just wouldnt eat much of anything, but sweets.. then on our MGM day, her body crashed hard - and we spent the afternoon in the First Aide - the nurse convinced dd she had to drink Powerade (dehydration Etc) and eat... I knew it was both dehydration and not enough food in her system... healthy food - so I tried tempting her when we got back to the room - it was hard. She'd eat the teeniest, tiniest sliver of a cracker.. I did make her take chromium picolinate, it was in a gel cap, so I poured it into a 1/4 of powerade - gave her crackers and toast w/ peanut butter and a banana - that was her breakfast - she'd not eat the whole of any of it, but it was more than she ate at home!! Then we tried to get her to eat every 2- 3 hours, popcorn, fruit, and a protien... I hate that food is such an issue!! BY the time we got on the plane they mentioned the $5 snack packs, dd was all over it... but come on $5??? DH said to her "I just want you to be happy, its worth the $5!!"

She discovered she liked parmesean cheese spread!!

She did eat most of that pack, and for that, it was worth the $5!!
I'll be home Dance!! I do need to get in a 30 min walk!!
Packey I hate exercise - I hate running even more - so when this challenge hit, I get so bored walking, I figured I should walk with a friend, so some of the Peeps gave me their phone numbers, and I call someone while I walk - it puts me in a good frame of mind, and I usually can wog part of it when we're done chatting!! It helps me realize I do have friends, and that I'm not alone... I guess I'm kinda needy!!
