My reservation that I just paid for, said that in 112 days I will be in DISNEY WORLD!!!!:cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

I think that is pretty cool for my momentous occasion!!! :rolleyes1

I don't want to gross you out (turn your head if you are queasy) but I just got a better look and there is a hole beside her poophole. :scared1: I think she must have sat on a nail on my deck. My DH and DS were outside throwing the tennis ball back and forth. Our newest little one, Trixie, runs back and forth as long as they throw, but Shadow sits on the deck and watches. The only things is is that she is a HUGE baby when it comes to pain. If you step on her paw, she yelps like you killed her! So I can't believe that she isn't whining. I also can't believe that it isn't bleeding, but it isn't. I'll be calling first thing in the morning.

I apologize if any got grossed out, but I'm worried about my baby! :sad2:

Oh dear! I hope she's OK! I'll be thinking about you, and her tomorrow!

you didn't gross me out! it could be that it's not bleeding anymore because she licked it so much it stopped the bleeding. if she sat on something like a nail, i would just think they'd sew it up and give her a shot to prevent infection. hopefully that's the only problem. poor baby!!! let us know. i'll be at the gym tomorrow morning and then running errands, so i won't be home until probably around lunchtime. here's some good doggie pixie dust coming your way!!! pixiedust:

GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!! :sunny:

THANK YOU for all the sweet well wishes and birthday wishes for my DD! She had a great day and I "made" shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta. The shrimp/sauce was frozen but it was GOOD! And we had chocolate caramel cheesecake for her cake. She loves cheesecake so I always buy her cake although I make everyone else's.

OK....it's a busy week and I'm getting nervous. Woke up at 4 and couldn't get back to sleep. Still got lots to do before we leave. Church tonight and work at both jobs tomorrow.

Dawn
....So glad Eli is negative! What a relief!

Allie....Poor puppy! Hope he's OK!

Heather....I was so scared just reading about your evening at the hospital! Is that the way deep vessel blood clots manifest themselves? Swelling, splotchy? BE CAREFUL!

Lynda...Cute picture of Jasper! Maybe you should go into pet photography?! Srsly! And thanks, yes, it was Emily's Bday yesterday...you've got a good memory! Last night Mimi was wearing this black terry cloth romper she bought last weekend and told me that she is going to be dressed like a complete disaster all week next week with shorts & boots. I told HER that I will just steer clear like I don't know her and she said if I do she will be all over me like a bad rash! :scared:

Misty....Good job on the weight loss, sister!!! I'm so proud of you! :yay:

Abish....I don't know what day care costs are but if you aren't going to keep the money and she can't write it off on her taxes...why not just a flat $100/week? You must be the best sister in the whole world!

Sandy
....Cool beans on the glasses! That's some magic! Any word from Fidge?

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Melinda Good Mornin - I thought I had another 30 min, or I would've run over here to post first!! :rotfl2: You posted at 3:50am - I posted at 4:30 am - I'd say the dis is off a few minutes - its only 5AM - I got out of bed at 4:30 - dh worked until 4ish - came in the bedroom with his Boy Scout headlight looking for his phone charger.... that headlamp flashlight btw is a red light - you cant be disturbing the night with a regular ole LIGHT to actually see with!! lol

Still looking for stuff... still not sleeping - too excited.

pixiedust: and prayers - still no Fidge Sightings... still calling tho...

Hope all the fur babies get healthy! Recover painlessly!!

 Two MORE sleeps!!

Dawn
....So glad Eli is negative! What a relief!

Punkin -- How scary!!! I'm so glad that Eli is okay! Last year when I took Mags for her yearly visit to the *V*E*T* (must be spelled because she doesn't like that word), her vet told me that they are finding that heartworm preventatives are not 100% effective. Thus, it is now suggested that you have them tested every two years. A friend of mine had her chiuaua on a preventative and he still got it. So scary!

Allie....Poor puppy! Hope he's OK!

:scared1: Let us know how he's doing! I hope that it's nothing too serious...

Misty --

If my laptop can mangage to be on for more than three minutes this weekend, I'll be around. No Disney trips for me for a while -- must plan one soon though!

I wish all the peeps that are traveling in the next week or so -- good travels, good weather, and good friends!!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my puppy!:dogdance:

I've called the vet, and I am going to have to drop her off so that she can be seen sometime today while I am at work. I saw a "hole" in her bottom yesterday! :scared1: Well after investigating on the internet (isn't that we all do:rotfl: ) I think the "hole" may be her anal gland, so it may be infected or something like that. Last night I was trying to figure out how she could have sat on a nail, that caused a big hole, and not yelp about it.:sad2: Well, I now think that it is her anal gland. Hopefully she will get better soon because we leave for the beach in two and a half weeks for Fall Break! :cool1:

:rotfl: i loved how you spelled the vet!!! so funny. i have to spell "out" because sherman and eli get excited if i say that word and don't let them out the back door. for example, i'd say to DH, "did you let the boys O-U-T yet?" they're just like kids! anyway, i get both dogs checked for heartworms every year when they get their shots. eli's test last year, of course, was negative. that's why i was so baffled when the doctor said the test was positive because it had only been a year since his last test and i'd been giving him the heartgard. i'm just glad it was a mistake!

:rotfl: I have to spell treat, walk, and mail too -- those are her three FAVORITE words. In fact I usually have the phone on speaker when I'm talking to my mom (her grandma) and she likes to say the word treat just to get Maggie all excited. It's amazing what they learn.

I am willing to do pet portraits! :) I still need to come up with pricing for that, but I'm more than happy to do it. Of course, she was laying on her 'Daddy' when I took that picture, so she was quite content! I have a weird memory actually. I have lots of things floating around in my head that I could probably get by without knowing, but if it's something important, forget it! :rotfl: Glad I remembered her name though. :) That's hilarious about Mimi! :lmao: Perhaps you should offer to wear a matching outfit? Maybe that would scare her. Does she know I'm bringing camera paraphernalia to Epcot?

Drum roll please: Zach is now down 14 pounds!:yay:

Good news! Yay Zach! He is rockin' it, isn't he? Way to go!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my puppy!:dogdance:

That is funny..i love saying "Chiefy, want to go for a walk?" and seeing his ears perk up and his head tip from side to side..it also works with , go for a ride, treat and fuzzy ( his name for a toy).

Have a great day everyone!!

Hi all! Work has been keeping me busy since I switched to my regular schedule.

:grouphug: prayers and :wizard: to those who have had problems, worries and stress this week. Safe travels to those heading out for the last week of free dining. DSis got back yesterday from what was supposed to be our trip...... I am still a bit bummed that we didn't get to go but I have a trip to lok forward to. 241 days to go! 81 days till I can make ADRs. LOL

I can sympathize with the scale issues. I've been eating so healthy and it's not budging at all. I have cut out almost all of my snacks too. I only eat my dinner at work and usually have a slim fast bar in the car on the way to work as my lunch. I'm drinking my water so I know that's still ok...... I'm not as active as I was when I first started my job since I have to do data entry and I don't get to run around the warehouse as much but it shouldn't be that big of a difference.

For better news, I found a thread on the budget board about a way to make some money from home. I tried it and it worked. I made $276 last month and got paid on Monday!! It's not a lot but it's paying off the extra we put on our cc over the summer when I wasn't working. I haven't done anything yet for this month and need to get busy so I can get a bit of extra $$ for next month. We have several things going on that I'll need it for.

Gotta go.....I have things to take care of before I leave for work.

We "left behinders" can run amuck while the threadmama is gone!  :rotfl2: :rotfl: J/K Wendy! ;) It will be fun to hear about all the meetings. We will be covered up with TR's when they get back though. So there will be a lot of this......:surfweb: going on!

Heather - Do you have varicose veins? You know the kind that protrude from your legs. I had those with each pregnancy, and they can be very painful, and warm to the touch. I got them fixed two years ago, but some came back this summer after my NYC trip. Let us know what the Dr. has to say.

I have never had varicose veins before this pregnancy. I have gotten several and they are painful. That is why I did not think much of it last week when my leg started hurting--just figured I was getting another one. When the swelling started and it was red and blotchy and very painful I knew it wasn't a varicose vein. I want to get them removed when all of this is over.

Did someone say "run amuck?" :rotfl2:

I just got DUSTED by the Magic!! :wizard:

I emailed disney about Food and Wine Party for the Senses - basically stating that the price increase better show some better wines and foods than last year :rotfl2: AND can they please provide newsprint or boxes so the glasses we get as a souveneir dont break - like ours did last year?
Sorry they said it was your fault, but great that they are sending youa knew one.

ADVICE NEEDED! My sister's husband got a new job and they will be moving as soon as their house sells. In the meantime, he'll be away for 3 months of training and my sister will be working full-time while trying to sell the house. Her son (he's about 18 months old) will be coming to my house while she's at at work. This will turn out to be about 50 hours a week as she lives almost an hour from her job. She wants to pay me, and I think I should accept (to eliminate "weirdness") but I DON'T want to charge her full day-care prices. What is the typical amount out there that you charge as a provider (or pay, if you have kids in day care?). Whatever money she DOES pay us we plan to put in a mutual fund for my nephew when he graduates from high school. I've heard it's about $4.75/child (under 2 1/2 yrs) at a daycare center...not sure what "private" daycare costs. Thanks in advance for your help.
We pay 450 a month and that breaks down to 112.50 per week which is 22.50 per day. I think we pay for holidays and such regardless.
 good thoughts coming your way! hope you're feeling better. keep us updated!

i had a rough afternoon. i took eli and sherman to the vet for their annual exams/shots.
sorry for all the dog talk. i'm just soooooooo relieved my doggie is okay!
Glad to hear that all is ok.
Well now I am having doggie issues. I took DD out to buy a birthday present for a friend's party tomorrow, and my DH called me on the phone and told me that something was definitely wrong with Shadow.:scared1: He almost never calls be on my cell, so I knew it was serious. He said that her bottom was red and swollen. He said she kept licking it and her lips were quivering and she had a little foam coming out of her mouth. He told me she wasn't serious, but she will definitely have to go to the Dr. tomorrow. When I got home, she has licked off most of the hair around her poophole(don't want to get in trouble with the DIS police;) ). She won't let me look at it now. All I know is what I did see was GROSS!:scared: That is what my DH kept saying to me on the phone.:sad2: She is just resting now. No foam, no quivering lips anymore. Please send some puppy pixie dust our way!
Please let us know how she is doing.
Good Morning!

WAY TO GO ZACH!!!!

That is awesome. Which program is it?

Went back to the DR. yesterday afternoon and all is well. Even with all the contractions I am still at 1----that is good news for me. He really does not know why my leg is doing this. He thinks I may have injured my upper ankle and not remember it--since all my joints are loose right now preparing for baby. Or it could just be a hormonal thing with my veins that will get better after baby is born. My leg is not as swollen today, but I have tried to stay off of it as much as possible yesterday. It is still red and hurts-but not as bad. I actually slept last night--even though it was on the couch. I go back to the Dr. on Monday. I really do not want to go into labor before the 30th---my DH is gone a bunch next week- he will be back late on the 28th. Still have a lot to get accomplished before she arrives.

Hope that everyone has a great time at Disney----I soooo wish I had a trip to look forward to--I do but not until 2009--a little to early for me to plan.

Have good day everyone.

Melinda--not really sure how they form--my mom gets them often without any signs other than pain. You typically look for swelling and inflamation. Good luck juggling everything over the next few days.

Thank you for all your kind words, wishes and most of all pixiedust: ! Shadow is going to be fine. She had an impacted anal gland that abscessed (sp?). I won't go into details, but suffice it to say, that I am glad I AM NOT THE DR.!!!! The funny thing is is that I go to church with my vet! So now every time he sees me he will probably think about what he had to do for my puppy! :scared:

He is a great guy, and I paid him plenty today, so that should smooth it over!:rolleyes1 When I adopted Shadow, he was having a pool installed in his backyard. I wonder what fun thing he will get now! :rotfl2: :rotfl: I am so thankful that I have him though. He is a great V*E*T!!!! I spelled that out in case any of your fur babies were sitting in your lap while you were reading this. :rotfl2:

She will take some antibiotics and pain medication, and she should be fine! Thanks again for your concern about my puppy. :grouphug:

For those that are going in the next few days, HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!

Thank you for all your kind words, wishes and most of all pixiedust: ! Shadow is going to be fine.

yay!!! :goodvibes i'm so glad to hear it!
