So when is everyone headed off to disney? And who is doing a report??

We leave the 26th - a week from Wednesday! :yay: I am also doing a report. Link to the pre-trip report is in my siggie. I think you've subscribed, but I did update it twice yesterday. :)

Since today is her birthday and I couldn't get the present she wanted, we went shopping and didn't get home til 7:30! Time for bath, homework, bed.

Punkin and Lynda....I must get caught up on your TRs since I may get to make a cameo appearance some time soonish!

Happy Birthday Emily! :cheer2: (Did I get that right?)

I have that same problem! I am convinced my scale is from a joke shop! It's making me neurotic. I just never know what it's going to show!!!!! The sad thing is, it's accurate! Must be someone has a voodoo doll of me and they randomly take out it's stuffing and add more and more! Ya, that's it.

4 More Days!!!!! :cool1:

:lmao: That's hilarious about the voodoo doll! Maybe I have that problem too because my scale is all over the place every week. It's making me crazy!

Melinda glad that DD is not truely injured--I am sure it hurts just the same. Happy Birthdya to her as well.

UPDATE ON RYAN---all blood work came back great--some of the labs will nt be back until tomorrow or THurs. Still pray for them ---- he has so much steroids in his body it is beginning to take a toll on his personality.

I had to go to the hospital last night and was monitired for 3 hours. At work I noticed my leg was swelling, but not my foot. It was also getting red blotches and hurting really bad. We have a history of blood clots in my family so I called the Doc. of course after 5 so I had to go to ER :sad2: When I got there they told me since I was not having contractions I would have to wait and see the triage nurse. So I waited and guess what--started having major contractions. When the contractions started the triage nurse said (without me telling her anything) she is 36 weeks and needs to go up to the floor). SO I went up and they monitired me--had contractions every 2-3 minutes for almot 3 hours and then they stopped. Off and on again until midnight then a little today. THey did an ultrasound of my leg and did not find anything and really have no clue why it is swollen, hurting, and blotchy. I go see my reg. Dr. today---hopefully he can shed some light on this. ISo last night I think I got all of 2 hours sleep coombined. I will keep you guys updated.

HAve to go check on some students. Have a good day.

I hope they figure out what is going on with your leg soon! That has to be so uncomfortable!!!

And that is great news aout Ryans tests! Hopefully his personality will return soon.

Pretty good, thanks! Tired of course, and I am still sick to my stomach and hungry at the same time....who knows what that is about. I have been having alot of soup. I had a Dr appt today and all is well. Strong heartbeat and I have only gained 3 pounds so far, so that is ok with me. (well, I actually lost one the past few weeks, so it is really only 2 pounds gain now I guess.) I have another appt on 10/16, a sonogram, so we should hopefully be able to see what this little peeplet is then!

Dance...When I was pregnant with DS, I only gained 11 lbs the whole pregnancy! I would gain 2 one month and lose 3 the next! The Dr wasn't happy with me, but I was mostly eating fruit, salads and chicken! Plus I started 20 lbs heavier than with my DD's! Oh yeah, DS was 8#1oz when he was born. I say as long as you are eating healthy & taking your vitamins, not gaining 25 lbs is ok. :goodvibes

I think there is a voodoo doll of me too! :rotfl2: My scale does the same thing!! Maybe it's a gravitational pull thing on the earth?!? Some days it's stronger than others!?!:confused3

Thanks for the update on Ryan. I'll continue keeping him in my prayers.:cloud9:
I hope the Dr figures out what's up with your leg. Sounds quite uncomfortable and painful!

So today I get my haircut on my lunch hour. Luckily it just needs to be shaped a little bit. Then tonight, my friend and I are going to "Designing Dish." They have all types of ceramic things that you can paint, and then you leave it there and they fire it. It'll be ready next week. I painted a Mickey teapot/mug combo. The mug was red with yellow "buttons" and the teapot was black. The teapot sits on top of the mug and is really cute. It was suppose to be a gift, but I kept it for myself! ;) Not sure what I'll make today.

happy tuesday everyone..it is RIDICULOUSLY beautiful out today over here..love this time of year!! :)

We "left behinders" can run amuck while the threadmama is gone!  :rotfl2: :rotfl: J/K Wendy! ;) It will be fun to hear about all the meetings. We will be covered up with TR's when they get back though. So there will be a lot of this......:surfweb: going on!

Heather - Do you have varicose veins? You know the kind that protrude from your legs. I had those with each pregnancy, and they can be very painful, and warm to the touch. I got them fixed two years ago, but some came back this summer after my NYC trip. Let us know what the Dr. has to say.

Did someone say "run amuck?" :rotfl2:

I just got DUSTED by the Magic!! :wizard:

I emailed disney about Food and Wine Party for the Senses - basically stating that the price increase better show some better wines and foods than last year :rotfl2: AND can they please provide newsprint or boxes so the glasses we get as a souveneir dont break - like ours did last year?

I got the obligatory call - and I was less than happy - but hey, move on..

that was 2 weeks ago - TODAY I got a call... 407... it was Disney's special event planner - she personally wanted to call and let me know she found 2 glasses from last year and was sending them to me!! "But, but, it was MY fault that they broke!!" she said, Oh that's ok, just wanted to send them...

I LOVE DISNEY  Its like I got a "dream" and havent even left yet!! :wizard:

(so dont hang by me, I've already got my dream - its someone elses turn!)

WOW! That is so cool!!!!

You could just add some newsprint and bubble wrap to your suitcase now, you know...along with everything else you are packing!:rotfl:

PSA Dont forget to stop newspapers and mail deliveries!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Thanks Dance - I figure since I mailed all that ...stuff... I have packing material!! :rotfl2:

Still havent found the baggalini... still need to do laundry... still need to figure out what fits, and what I can wear to the Party, I know what I *want* to wear, but it no longer fits...

I'm DIS-lime-green with envy over all the Peeps going to WDW! But I'm loving this fall weather - cooler, breezy, colorful leaves...perfect. Have fun planning and executing your trips!

You'd think at my age I'd have more control over what I put in my mouth! Alas, 'tis not so. At least not always. Some days are better than others. Luckily I can feel accountable to all of you.

ADVICE NEEDED! My sister's husband got a new job and they will be moving as soon as their house sells. In the meantime, he'll be away for 3 months of training and my sister will be working full-time while trying to sell the house. Her son (he's about 18 months old) will be coming to my house while she's at at work. This will turn out to be about 50 hours a week as she lives almost an hour from her job. She wants to pay me, and I think I should accept (to eliminate "weirdness") but I DON'T want to charge her full day-care prices. What is the typical amount out there that you charge as a provider (or pay, if you have kids in day care?). Whatever money she DOES pay us we plan to put in a mutual fund for my nephew when he graduates from high school. I've heard it's about $4.75/child (under 2 1/2 yrs) at a daycare center...not sure what "private" daycare costs. Thanks in advance for your help.

Love and prayers to everyone who needs it!

I feel everybody's pain on the "scale from Hades" thing. I know we're not supposed to focus on the numbers, just on how our clothing fits and how we feel and all of that, but you know...there's something about being able to say you've hit the next step - under 200, back to the 170s, whatever.

After watching "Wife Swap" last night I think I'll try the raw foods (including meat!) diet. Basically, I'll never want to eat anything. That will cut my calories WAY down!

I had to go to the hospital last night and was monitired for 3 hours.

 good thoughts coming your way! hope you're feeling better. keep us updated!

i had a rough afternoon. i took eli and sherman to the vet for their annual exams/shots. the vet comes into the room after giving them their shots and doing all their tests and stuff and tells us that eli's heartworm test came back positive. :sad2: inside i totally freaked out. he's my little fat man and i don't know what i'd do without him - he's only 2.5 years old! he shouldn't be sick yet! but of course outside i remained calm and just asked questions. when i told the vet that i gave him heartgard every month, he said he'd do the test again because the heartgard is pretty effective stuff. so in the meantime while they're running the test again, he's telling us what the procedure is for getting the heartworm treatment and that it costs $500. of course i don't care about the money. you could've told me $5,000 and i would've found a way! he also said there's a 3% chance that the treatments would not be effective and that the heartworms would be fatal. inside i'm FREAKING OUT. then as he's prescribing an antibiotic for me to start him on and we're making an appointment for me to bring him back tomorrow morning to start he treatments, his assistant comes in and hands him the test thingie and he looks at me and says, "it's negative." :faint: :worship: you don't understand how happy and relieved i was....i started crying! anyway, he says that once in awhile they'll have a fluke test and get a false positive. somebody was watching out for my little eli man today! :goodvibes

oh, and i asked about having his thyroid checked. the vet said he seriously doubts there's anything wrong with his thyroid because he's a young dog and very active. he said usually when there's a thyroid disorder it's in older dogs and they are very lethargic and have skin problems. so he put him on an appetite suppressant instead. i have to take him back in 2 weeks to see if it's working. we gave him his first dose tonight and he was NOT HAPPY!!! :scared:

poor eli. you'd think with sherman being the epileptic one, he'd have all the health problems. but he's as healthy as a horse otherwise. it's eli who has all the other issues!

sorry for all the dog talk. i'm just soooooooo relieved my doggie is okay!

Oh I am so happy your little one if ok! How scary!:scared1: I have never heard of a dog having heartworms if they were on the medicine. I thought that is why we give it to them every month. :confused3

We had a neighbor whose dog tested positive this summer, and it is a tough treatment. They can't get excited because the worm can break off and can be fatal. They had to keep her in complete isolation. I know you are so relieved! I am relieved for you! :cheer2: I need to remember that mine need their pills tomorrow. This will help me remember!

the vet told us if there is a record of us buying the heartgard every six months, then the company (heartgard that is) will pay for the treatment. they pulled up our history and there were a couple of random times that i didn't come in every six months where it would be like 7 months later instead of 6, so they wouldn't have paid for it. but believe me......never again! i'm buying that stuff every single time i need it now!

hope your neighbor's doggie is doing better!

by the way, i just confirmed our dining reservations!!!! :woohoo:

Dawn , I'm so glad everything came out ok for you baby!

 Hugs, Heather.

And pixiedust: for Ryan. Prednisone is no fun to be on even if it can work some miracles.

Melinda, so glad your DD doesn't have a broken shoulder!

Happy to hear your dog tested out negative, Dawn. We are currently dogless, but plan to remedy that after vacation.

I am traveling to Disney very early Saturday morning!   Celery is driving down tonight. I am not planning a trip report, but will probably contribute some photos and commentary to Celery's!

OMG! I would freak! I almost started crying just reading that. I'm so glad Eli's OK. Jasper sends her love...

Well now I am having doggie issues. I took DD out to buy a birthday present for a friend's party tomorrow, and my DH called me on the phone and told me that something was definitely wrong with Shadow.:scared1: He almost never calls be on my cell, so I knew it was serious. He said that her bottom was red and swollen. He said she kept licking it and her lips were quivering and she had a little foam coming out of her mouth. He told me she wasn't serious, but she will definitely have to go to the Dr. tomorrow. When I got home, she has licked off most of the hair around her poophole(don't want to get in trouble with the DIS police;) ). She won't let me look at it now. All I know is what I did see was GROSS!:scared: That is what my DH kept saying to me on the phone.:sad2: She is just resting now. No foam, no quivering lips anymore. Please send some puppy pixie dust our way!

 i'm so sorry to hear this! i hope everything turns out okay. i'm trying to think of what in the world it could be. let us know!!! i'll be thinking about you and your doggie tonight and tomorrow!!!!

I don't want to gross you out (turn your head if you are queasy) but I just got a better look and there is a hole beside her poophole. :scared1: I think she must have sat on a nail on my deck. My DH and DS were outside throwing the tennis ball back and forth. Our newest little one, Trixie, runs back and forth as long as they throw, but Shadow sits on the deck and watches. The only things is is that she is a HUGE baby when it comes to pain. If you step on her paw, she yelps like you killed her! So I can't believe that she isn't whining. I also can't believe that it isn't bleeding, but it isn't. I'll be calling first thing in the morning.

I apologize if any got grossed out, but I'm worried about my baby! :sad2:

That still cracks me up.
