OU know Snady I remember a girl I grew up with her Mom made her hold in her stomach ALL THE TIME!!! Her Mom said htat wy when she was older and had children she would never have a gut!

I really wonder how that worked out no one has seen her since childhood. Hmmm I wonder

It hurts when I suck it in and think her Mom was onto something way back!

That was MY grandmother!

She said for me to always sit up straight! Even if I thought I was, she'd tell me to stop slouching! WTFlip?

She said the same thing about sucking it in....and I DONT really have a pot belly! In hind site ;) really wish I would have SUCKED in my bum and thighs!

Does anyone else who's near 40 look at your hands and wonder why your hands have been replaced by you mother's??????

Sept. 13th baby!

I like the 2nd one... with the silk ivy. :bride:

Eeyore is right. I lost 40 lbs on SWBM 2 years ago doing just the diet... didn't excercise like I do now. The diet worked, but it was very restrictive and I always felt like I was missing something. Some people like the structure, I'm not one of them though. Ironically, during school, I eat in a very similar way to the SWBM... just not that extreme (like I eat the whole egg and not just the white). The best thing I brought away from it was to eat several small meals a day.

I'll be thinking about you... or is that dreaming? ;)

Don't feel bad... some of the SCIENCE teachers I work with thought it was true. If I hadn't been so into NASA stuff when it did happen, I might have believed it, too.

You would totally look SOOOO cute!

Reminds me, I finally have a "full body" pic to post. I also have a couple of others I liked enough to post on match/eharmony. I had a great cleavage shot... but my eyes looked kind of funny so I didn't use it... not that anybody would have been looking at my eyes in that picture... :rolleyes1

Hubba Hubba~! Lookie at Dene!

You look so amazing! So beautiful! SO SKINNY!!!!!!!

You are such an inspiration, Dene!

Oh I forgot to post I like the centerpieces with the ivy. I actually liked them both, but you asked for us to pick one, so that's my choice.

Oh Dene, you look HOT HOT HOT! :smokin:

eeyore I want to be you running there. Where's the fat?:confused3

:cutie: Thanks for the comments on the pix!

Does anyone else who's near 40 look at your hands and wonder why your hands have been replaced by you mother's??????

:lmao: And my grandmother's eyes... and my other grandmothers upper arms... and my great grandmother's neck... etc.

Well, I'm about to head over to Fort Worth/Dallas. Gotta buy some new workout shoes and then head over to Plano to meet the people in my new "outdoor adventure" group. Later Peeps!:cool2:

Dene Have fun, take notes for us!!

UMA :rotfl2: I changed your recipe too!!

1. 1 Box of jello (LIme OR Strawberry)
2. Dissolve in HOT water, stir often - put in fridge every 10 min stir to make sure gelatin is dissolved, once it is cool/warmish then
3. Add 1 container of Yoplait THICK AND CREAMY 100 Calorie yogurt - Lime for Lime jello Strawberry for Strawberry jello (or oange etc)
4. Whisk it into cooled jello
5. Fold in the cool whip
6. Pour into the grahm cracker crust - this will appear to be 'soupy' Refrigerate until nice and thick.. but light and airy!! about 3 hours or until I couldnt stand it...

(It made a nice breakfast this am!! *blush)

:rotfl2: Monica... YOU lie so well!! and UMA - note how far those feet are coming up off the pavement - I do not "run" I walk and try and fool myself into thinking its 'jog' = woggin!!

Target has the great jogging bras for $16 - note how that stuff is sucked in too!! (Sorry Aaron!!)

Now, tomorrow I will have a new lesson... a new Bandwagon for us to jump onto..

If you want to do some homework, look at your PBS Stations and see if "YOU on a Diet" is airing... You will believe!!

In the meantime - finish drinking that water, and SUCK IT IN!!! Together Peeps... together!!-----------------

I'm beyond frustrated, ok??

Well, 6wk is successful if you are committed to no sugar, salt, condiments, (eat salad NO salad dressing) no artificial sweeteners... no flour, sugar, white rice, egg yolks... You end up on about 1,000 calories...

I said to look at Kat, Dene, Lynda et el they are committed and work hard at it - they write things down, they stick to an exercise, they work at it, they have that determined spirit... but they work.

I havent put in the work... I've put in the whine!! I'm doing better. I'm thinking a lot of Dene, Kat, and Lynda when I want to put food in my mouth or I dont want to exercise... At school we have this saying "What do you want? What are you doing? DO THEY MATCH?" I want to lose weight, I'm not doing anything... so it doesnt match...

Oh wow Sandy... I just don't think of myself as an inspiration. I am so weak sometimes! Like today, I decided that today is a cheat day even though I know I shouldn't. I do write things down, and I work hard at it most of the time, but I break. And I am so afraid that I will break completely and go back to my bad habits and gain again... I have lost before and totally reversed it.

Also, your running pic doesn't look like a fat pic to me!! It looks like a pic of someone who is trying, and succeeding!

Dene' your pictures are super hot!! I love the first one, you are so pretty.

UM, I love the word hoo-ha.

punkin, I wish I was 135 too, although my goal is 145... however I do understand wanting those last 5 lbs to go away.

mony, good luck on the new little peeplet!

Okay, I shouldn't even be here today since I am a mean bad cheater, but I still love you guys!!

OK....so I did not get to go to the pool today. DD13 made $250 babysitting this week! I KNOW! I'm gonna quit my job!

Anyway....she had plans to go to the mall w/ my SIL but SIL had to back out at the last minute so I had to take DD to the mall to meet a friend. AND unfortunately DS7 had to go along. And we had to purchase the two most important things on his list while we were there since he had his birthday money burning a hole in his pocket....heelies and a hermit crab. Do you have these kiosks in your mall too?

Anyway, DD was left to be picked up by friend's mom and DS was being very obstinate and would not agree to the pool when there were heelies to break in. I'm am so completely tired of being inside the house on this beautiful/gorgeous/cloudless/not-to-hot day that I could scream!!!!!!

Thank you for bearing with me on that vent.
I havent told you, but we missed the 45 day deadline, and I didnt call disney
NO! Call them right now!!! You must have them hold your reservation!!! I'm counting on you, Snady!
Also remember - its just a NUMBER - that "size" does NOT define WHO YOU ARE!! Its just a number...
I have bookmarked this quote, sister! Please take your own advice whenever you feel the funk coming on because you are so precious to all of us.
i forgot to post eli's weight yesterday.........he's a samer, too.
Ahhh....poor Eli! I don't blame him....it is TOO HOT to walk.
You look awesome, Sandy! I'm so proud of you! I noticed the name of the file is FleetFeetMom. That's so cute!
I had to quote these one more time because Dene.....you look FABULOUS!!!! And seriously...about 32 or 33! No lie! I cannot wait to hear what your students are going to say when school starts!
Does anyone else who's near 40 look at your hands and wonder why your hands have been replaced by you mother's??????
YES! OMG! Exactly like my mom's hands! I am very small-boned. My wedding ring finger is a size 4 and my fingers are very long and skeletal and now my hands have veins sticking out all over them just like my mom!!! I think I have an age spot. :scared: Ewww....creepy!
poppin in a hi
:wave2: I love the way you just pop in now and again.

GAYLE
.....Can you do ribbon AND ivy?! :thumbsup2

WHERE'S DANIELLE???

:cool1: GIVE ME AN A -
:yay:
:woohoo:

EVERYBODY :dance3:

DH GAVE ME the CARD WDW IS PAID IN FULL

We can go!! We really really can go!! :rotfl:

There's gonna be some celebratn tonight!!!

:dance3:
and that would be at the SCOUT party!! :rotfl2:

7pm tonight is the adult appreciation cookout!! one hour. I'm ready!! :dance3:

Melinda no fair!!! You cant tell me what I said - and expect me to remember that!! Those words are for you - and Harley, and this peep here, and that peep there - not to mention the peeps that are lurking...

I've asked those lurkin peeps to come out and play - post!!! :) Together we're a force~ grab hold -

I really loved watching that PBS special... I do believe!! It takes, work, trust, and some pixie dust !! :wizard: (notice, NO negative talking!!) :yay:

1. Write it down
2. SUCK IT UP - SUCK IT IN
3. Diet and Exercise ARE NOT a punishment for getting fat... but a REWARD for getting healthy!!

Kat that's exactly what I'm talking about. So often we just read the successes, or see those pretty ribbons in your signature (and Dene's and Lynda's etc etc Aaron... forgive me others!

and we think - wow, she's got it so good... she's doing great... pretty number.... it must be easier for her...

then you all come in and post it real..

it takes REAL work... and some real failures... but you didnt QUIT.. you didnt GIVE UP

on the special YOU on a diet... he said "Its like a GPS system, sometimes you take a detour away from the healthy food, I want you to think of the GPS system and do a "U TURN" That's right, the gps will say something to the effect you need to get to the next authorized place and make a uturn to get back on track...

the doctor gave 2 real things to do if you "fall off" and eat 1 donut... and its not say, "well that's it, I goofed I may as well eat the whole box" NO, make a uturn - take a deep breath, let it out... physically do something to get back on track - Uturn - TAke a deep breath, raise your hands over your head as you take that deep breath, let it out and slowly as you exhale bend over and have your hands go towards the floor... raise up deep breath and mentally see you getting back in the right lane!!!

That's why I think its so important when you post your struggles... even with that pretty $110 loss ribbon, Dene tells us of the 5 hours she puts in the gym, the hours in engaging in physical activity with now a new support group!!

Kat and Lynda have shared their knees are shot, they have such physical pain, but they are not using it as an excuse!! For today... not next week, but just for today... I can grab hold of the rope, the hand, the hug and hold on!!

Thanks Peeps!!

Hi all. I've been back for a couple of days, trying to catch up with everything at home and on the Dis. I gained 1/2 lb. on this DL trip, without having lost the gain from the previous trip (3 weeks ago, I KNOW I am so spoiled).
DH and I are sitting out in the backyard. It's lovely here today, maybe 75 degrees or so.

Monica, is Monday the big day? That's my dad's birthday. Don't suppose you want to name your little girl Merline? My dad was Merlin, and yes, he was a magical daddy:wizard: .

I'm going to keep reading now. I have 18 pages to catch up on.

Your pictures look BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job, you're an inspiration!! :)

Hi everyone~
Just stopping by to say hello. I've had such a hard time this week keeping up with all of the new posts, so I feel a bit lost, but hopefully I can catch up by the end of the weekend.

Hope everyone is doing great!!

~Becky

Good morning!

I haven't caught up on everything yesterday, but need some opinions from my Peeps! I am making the centerpieces for DD's wedding and have 2 different looks. Please tell me which one you like. I am trying to decide how to make them. Also, you can see the favors in the pics as well. I am going to put them around the centerpieces.

Thanks!
Gayle

I like the first one.

You look :rolleyes1 HOT!!!!!! Way to go:thumbsup2

Yes, we have one called ODD FRIENDS and the owner is very odd. Over the years we have spent a small fortune there. At one time we had 4 crabs---lets just say make sure you let them take a swim every once in a while and make sure they have enough water.

When we left the funeral home today the car temp gage said 117. After we were drivnign for ab9ut 10 minutes it went down to 106 and that was before we add the heat index--at least the graveside portion was quick because of the heat. As I type my feet are up because they are now swollen from the heat-- I hate the feeling of it.
Went and bought B-day invites for DD and she asked to write the names--I approved of her writing only the ones we go to church with since I won't be mailing those. Well she says she forgot and wrote all their names on the envelopes----I now have to figure out how to salvage the envelopes because she did not write small or in a straight line. Anyway--this should be fun.

Have a good night everyone.

I go back the 20th... students on the 27th. Don't wanna go back...

Well, I was on a date. Went to a Vietnamese hole-in-the-wall and an... ummmm... unusual play. It was nice... it was kind of sweet actually, he held my hand during the beginning of the play... then, he put his arm around me after intermission. Yes... I did get a couple of flutters... but I don't know if they were from HIM or the fact that I was touching a man, any man in a semi-romantic way. The kiss goodnight wasn't bad... but it didn't knock my socks off either. Still don't think it's going to go anywhere... just don't know when or how to tell him.:confused3

Science Teacher Alert: I'm sorry to be the one to tell you... but that email is not true... it WAS sort of true in 2003... Mars was it's closest then, but it wasn't anywhere near the size of the moon. I got that email (or something similar) two different years, including this one.

 :flower3: Trying to take your mind off shopping... I went to my friend's house in Denton today. We were outside taking pictures of me for match.com and eharmony. Anyway, either the sun or the plants or her perfume that I put on later caused me to get a rash... all over my chest... or to be more specific, all over my cleavage. :rolleyes1

girl you are so pretty

OK have a ? for you all: does anyone have any info about the 6 week body make over ?? I was in tears over the success sotries this morning and related oh so well let me know if you are in the know ok thanks!

Love you peeps

its basically that you determine what your body responds to and tailor your diet to the needs of your body.

 I'm throwing the rope out to you my Peep!! I do know what you're saying - bottom line tho to please, please remember above ALL else

We are our worst critics! Period. Its not the size you are - or want to be, its who YOU are that counts! This trip, these people - are they so shallow they will snicker behind your back? NO? I didnt THINK so... but YOU will, you will have all that negative self talk!

Also remember - its just a NUMBER - that "size" does NOT define WHO YOU ARE!! Its just a number... so my friend...

GET OVER IT - and go buy the jeans because that trip is TOO AWESOME to be missed, or worrying over a number!!!

:grouphug:

(or, hey, take me, when I stand next to you, you really WILL be the skinny minny!! Promise!!)

I'm to the point wherre the size isnt as critical as actually finding some that fit...if they fit in the booty they are too big in the waist...ask dismom...she saw the ones i found last night and said hhmmmm, those are not so cute right here the way they bunch right here...so next week i hope my two orders from eddie bauer will come in and i might get lucky with one of the pairs.

ps dis says hi she lost 2 lbs last week and is too lazy to come post...

OK...Thank-you to all my Peeps who voiced there opinion. I was leaning toward this one, but then I emailed the pics to my daughter & fiance and they chose this one too! So, I went and spent $70 on more ivy for the centerpieces! (Yup! The joys of a wedding!) That is the last thing to do. Now to get laundry done & pack for the trip! :hippie:

Dene...You look beautiful! :woohoo: What an inspiration to us all!

and dont forget - suck it up - and suck it in... while dis'ing you'd better be sittin up straight and sucking in your gut!! IT HELPS!!

I automatically sat up straighter after reading this! Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Harley Thanks for clarifying it - I'll now rant on the jean manufacturers - DAGNABIT!!

(there was an online place that you could order jeans from - perfect fit jeans - and the WGN talk radio in Chicago talked about them and lots of people ordered from them - crashed his site - those that got jeans RAVED, but too many people didnt get their jeans and it was a mess!! )

What is it about getting jeans to fit our bodies??
