I need the laundry fairy to visit my house. Please come and do my laundry, (crossing fingers shutting eyes real tight like I used to do when I was little) I used to be little? Just XXL over here.
Oh Laundry Fairy!!! Come to Utah TOO!!!!! I since yesterday, I've been putting my clean laundry on my love-seat to be folded...I'm so busy and the laundry is overwelming! Disposible clothes is what my family needs! I love the "when I was little" comment!
(She tries to embrace this "emo" culture TO much, anyone else have teenagers, or is this like a foreign language? I wish I knew less about it, believe me) so for the past 3 days it's been black pants...which she only has 2 pairs of. I've been telling (nagging, I'll admit it) her to WEAR OTHER CLOTHES! She has clothes that still have the tags on them. Clothes that she has only worn one time, probably just to keep me quiet...clothes SHE picked out and chooses not to wear, so it's not like I'm buying the "wrong" thing. Believe me, I've learned not to just buy something that I think is cute for her. So this morning it went from the overworn black pants to the dark gray jeans with a big hole in the knee (not by design, AND that I told her the last time she wore them are only play clothes now) to finally a pair of jeans. I didn't care WHICH pair of jeans, just not the same black pants or the worn out gray ones. I honestly think she does it on purpose. I can see her in her closet, staring at her clothes with a manical look in her eyes, thinking, "Yes yes, My Preeeecious, what can I wear Toooday to thwart the Eeeevil Queen...MUH HA HA " grinning with evil glee as she rubs her hands together.

OK! Anyway, I feel better now. That book got it wrong, men aren't from Mars,TEENAGERS ARE. I love my kids.
Most EMOS are just wanna-be's. If she starts cutting herself, then worry. I say as long as she doesn't look slutty or does anything permanent to her hair or body...then it's somewhat ok. I asked my DS18 who is the foremost authority on everything, and he says emos are going out of style.
Well, whaddya know, the 3 goals worked! I lost 2 pounds this week to put me at my lowest ever adult weight of 177.2. The loss gives me a grand total weight loss of 38.8 pounds lost since the start of the year, and an uber-grand total weight loss of 62.8 pounds lost since April 2005. I am now 2.2 pounds from my Christmas goal (which I may need to increase a bit depending on how quickly I can lose those 2.2 pounds), and 22.2 pounds from my ultimate goal weight of 155.

I'm thinking I'll be keeping these three goals (no mindless nibbling, no extra helpings of supper, Yoga/Pilate's every night), because they are really the three things holding me back from having this kind of success every week.

I'll post an update of our Christmas goals sometime this afternoon.

Happy weigh-ins everyone!

SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! You must be thrilled! Love your "uber-grand total"

UtahMama :lmao: that you are going dive to get it out of my mouth thanks:thumbsup2, that's a support team I tell ya
HA HA HA!!!!
UM, I have a Chesapeake Retriever and a Koon Hound/Australian Shepherd mix. They are both female and dumb as two bags of rocks. I love them but only I could. The retriever actually was on doggy Prozac once for separation anxiety. Then she OD'ed on them when she grabbed the bottle off the counter and ate the entire thing. I wasn't home at the time and found the bottle chewed to bits when I got home. I had to pour peroxide down her throat to make her puke. I was chasing her around the yard in the snow to do this and then she didn't throw up until I put her in my car to take her to the vet. See, only I could love these animals. I also have two birds, one of which is on drugs 2X a day for epilepsy...:sad2:

Yay! DOG PUKE! I can just see you chasing her around the yard to pour peroxide down her throat!

That is my living room at the moment. Behind where I was standing is this.

Here's the progress so far: This is the kitchen before we took anything out. Messy I know. I moved the TV over so we can put up the tree tonight. I have boxes and baskets everywhere!

Here's today with all the tear outs and the concrete board laid. Look how big it's going to be!
th_miscmaddydcremodel018.jpg

th_miscmaddydcremodel017.jpg

It's HUGE! I love when the living room, dining area and kitchen are "open"-Mine is somewhat closed off visually, so I want to MOVE. We just had this house built 2 1/2 years ago and now I saw an Ivory Plan I just LOVE.

OH! I lost 2 pounds! The 3 Goals thing WORKS!

My 3 Goals (Still):

1. Tread mill 30 minutes each day

2. More water than diet Pepsi.

3. No late night eating...cut off at 8PM (this will gradually go down to 7PM)

My husband was watching "Family Guy" the other day (I was cooking dinner, don't watch much TV, TO much internet!) I overheard the mom on the show saying to her teen daughter,"what do you do, compulsive eat alot of food to get over bad feelings?" Daughter says," No mom! Eating makes you fat, I just cut myself!"
This just made me so...madsadoutragedanddisgusted. If your not going through it maybe it's funny...I don't know.... TMI I guess....sorry :sad1:
Well, as far as I know, no one I know does this, but I don't find that funny at all! I like Family Guy, but sometimes they do push it a bit too far. But maybe that's just me. :sad2:

Well, we finally returned our Christmas tree covered in mouse pee, and exchanged it for one that is pristine and without all the added aromas compliments of our stowaway, who by the way, is still loose somewhere in our house. :scared1: We finally fell into some luck and the tree is now on sale so they gave us $80 back for the exchanged tree. That never happens. My opinion of Lowes is slowly improving. However, I still LOATHE Home Depot.
MRNsMonmmy, how are you feeling today? I h ope you avoided the dreaded re-infect. Kids are like giant petri dishes. It's amazing us moms aren't sick all of the time.

First of all, I'm so glad you finally returned your mouse-infested tree. Did you tell them about the mouse when you took it back?
As for me, I'm actually feeling a lot better this morning, so, hopefully, it was nothing major, and we're all on the mend!

Well, I was + 1.2 lbs. this week. Although, that was as of my weigh-in w/ WW on Monday, which was after the Thanksgiving weekend full of food...so, hopefully, I'll be down again by Monday when I weigh in again!

No time to catch up right now i gotta take camden to Preschool
but weight loss this week is The same
way to go the loser's, The stay the samer's and the i'm still trying's

Guess what, still working, still behind, the internet is so slow - cant respond - but love the pictures - and boy do I have a dd story - talk about drama - and then I lol at the shower - my brother used to run the water and sit on the toilet singing - when he got yelled at, he was done - not a drop of water would touch him LOL and my middle son - dont get me started on that phenom!! roflol!! (he only showers when someone reminds him to shower!! roflol!! You think he wouldnotice his greasy hair - nope!)
Ok your kids have given you many cool stories to share! Your boys did start to take showers on their own eventually, right? Jordan used to not shower unless I nagged at him..until he became interested in girls!

Well, I was + 1.2 lbs. this week. Although, that was as of my weigh-in w/ WW on Monday, which was after the Thanksgiving weekend full of food...so, hopefully, I'll be down again by Monday when I weigh in again!

You can kick it up a notch after you get back! NO one loses weight at Disney.
So many yummy foods there!

AHHH...boys and showers! What is it about pre-teen boys thinking they don't have to shower??? I remember dropping off my son to youth camp (he was in 7th grade) and coming back to get him a week later and he is in the same clothes and admits to me he didn't shower all week! Yeah...like I didn't figure that out with one SNIFF!!! :scared1:

-1 lb and new bling this week!! Not bad for Thanksgiving week. Only 4 more to go for my christmas goal!

Congrats to the samers and losers!

Dawn-- How are your bruises??

Well, whaddya know, the 3 goals worked! I lost 2 pounds this week to put me at my lowest ever adult weight of 177.2.

congrats!!! that's awesome and must feel so good! :thumbsup2

yeah for you for winning the prize, whatcha' get,

a little tupperware bowl with a little hole thing in the lid (for venting in the microwave) and an orange peeler. YIPPEE!!!!!

No wonder I found my first grey hairs this month. My boys are 11 and 9.

i don't have any kids and i have grey hair ALL OVER MY HEAD. i have to dye my hair like once a month to cover it. it's awful. it's actually not grey, but WHITE!

i bet you're so excited about your kitchen.....can't wait to see the finished product. i bet you can't, either!

Dawn-- How are your bruises??

pretty good. just the one on my leg is all. my hips are really sore and today my neck started hurting but that's nothing new.

okay....i have to share this with you all since you're probably the only ones that would understand. i was talking to my boss today and noticed that the beads on her dangley earrings had formed a hidden mickey. i almost pointed it out to her but then i felt like she'd probably think i was psycho, so i held back! :rotfl:

I am down .5 lbs! (Better than nothing!) :confused3 I didn't stick to my 3 goals, so I will be doing the same ones for the next week. (water, exercise, no sweets!)

Going on a date with DH tonight to see "Enchanted". I can't wait!!!

:thumbsup2 nice for the .5 lb loss; have fun on your date. I so want to go see that movie. I am trying to talk my friend in going soon.

DISNEYLAURA: I don't know what to say about this, I googled "emo culture" to help me explain it, and found this right away. Hits the nail on the head. My husband was watching "Family Guy" the other day (I was cooking dinner, don't watch much TV, TO much internet!) I overheard the mom on the show saying to her teen daughter,"what do you do, compulsive eat alot of food to get over bad feelings?" Daughter says," No mom! Eating makes you fat, I just cut myself!" I have never heard of that before. I agree with UtahMama as long as she's not hurting herself then I wouldn't worry. I don't think that would be a topic that someone would think would be funny to be put on a TV show.

It's Friday!!   :dance3: Well, we finally returned our Christmas tree covered in mouse pee, and exchanged it for one that is pristine and without all the added aromas compliments of our stowaway, who by the way, is still loose somewhere in our house. :scared1: We finally fell into some luck and the tree is now on sale so they gave us $80 back for the exchanged tree. [Laura, I hope you make it out of the house today. I got super stir crazy while I was on maternity leave but at the time was too scared to take a newborn out by myself. I know, I am, I mean was, a total wuss. I hope your DD is healthy today.

BTW, I am down 1 pound!!! :cheer2:

Yeah for you for getting money back. My DH hates the Home Depot too. He's a carpenter and unfortunately has to spend some time there but hates it.

I did get out of the house today, :cool1: It was nice to walk around the mall.

 Nice work on the 1 lb weight loss.

Ok looks like I'm getting tile today. But we are more squished. The kitchen will be off limits for at least a week. Here's the progress so far: This is the kitchen before we took anything out. Messy I know. I moved the TV over so we can put up the tree tonight. I have boxes and baskets everywhere!

Wow it looks great so far. Yeah for progress.

Guess what, still working, still behind, the internet is so slow - cant respond - but love the pictures - and boy do I have a dd story - talk about drama - and then I lol at the shower - my brother used to run the water and sit on the toilet singing - when he got yelled at, he was done - not a drop of water would touch him LOL and my middle son - dont get me started on that phenom!! roflol!! I would have done the same thing. I look for hidden mickey's all the time but will only say things to DH if I spot one. I remember I found on DS balloon one year. His theme was 101 Dalmations and the balloon was spotted. Well three spots formed a hidden mickey. I even sent it into the Disney Magazine but they returned it to me and said they had to many pictures. So anyway, cool for you.

Wish I could contribute to the Peep Weight Loss Effort but I can't. I'm +2 pounds this week. Oh well, I'm not too focused on losing weight at the moment. It's not like it will do any good when we're on the dining plan for our upcoming trip.

After week 1 of our Christmas challenge, here are the results:

f_Peepm_a591132.png

Good job all!

Ok Aaron, change my goal to lose 5.5 lbs. Yes I am UP .5 lbs. this week. Don't need this kind of stuff happening. :sad2: Not the kind of start I was looking for. I was down .5 yesterday, so how did I gain a whole pound overnight. Oh well, luckily the doc said that I haven't injured anything in my knee or my hip. :thumbsup2 He gave me a prescription for Mobic (NSAID) and some stretches to do to strengthen my muscles. I have felt much better today. It just makes me nauseous. Hey maybe that will keep me from eating= Weight loss!

Funny thing though. He said he wanted to see me in six weeks for a checkup. Well when I went to the front desk she told me that would be Jan. 10th. I told her I couldn't do that....want to know why??? I will be in DISNEY picking up my racing packet!!!:cheer2: :yay: :cool1: :dance3: :woohoo:

GOOOOOOOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

It's another make 30 quiches Friday for ole Melindee.Gina....Are you and DBF engaged? 4 nights at the GF sugarload? Near Christmas? Hmmmmm.....sounds suspicious to me. :)
Oh Melinda! lol...No we are not engaged..we've been together almost 3 years but i KNOW that we are not getting engaged during this trip..i would be BEYOND shocked...I think within the next year or so though..at least i hope so...shhh don't tell him that ;)

:lmao: well, i lost the battle. but not a huge defeat. i only ate about 2 bites and of course the icing. who can resist icing?????? anyway, i felt obligated. everyone was ooohhhhing and aaawwwwing over the cake and i felt rude to say, "no, thank you." so i just took a couple of bites and then snuck to the trash can. was that rude?

i had 2 mimosas. but it's just champagne and orange juice.......good for you, right? :rolleyes1
Nice one Dawn..well played. I would have taken at least 5 bites myself...:rolleyes1
MaPigletfan, good to hear you didn't shoot your eye out. :) You are going to love WDW this time of year. We were there the week after thanksgiving in 2006 and it was absolutely beautiful!! I highly recommend liberal use of hand sanitizer. Both my children got the Norwalk virus and were told it is not uncommon because of so many people in one area and all the buffets. I am sure it didn't help that my oldest licked the table leg at Hollywood and Vine. :scared1: :confused3 I have no idea why...
Ugh.. i know it! i am a bit scared that i will get some crazy illness..but i have been sick the past week with a nasty cold and last night i got hit with a bad stomach thing..ughhhhh..i better get rid of it before next Thursday...oh and i will be sure not to lick any table legs..gross! Kids huh!?

Wish I could contribute to the Peep Weight Loss Effort but I can't. I'm +2 pounds this week. Oh well, I'm not too focused on losing weight at the moment. It's not like it will do any good when we're on the dining plan for our upcoming trip.

I hear ya..I didnt' even weigh myself today, i think i will on wed. a.m. the day before we leave for WDW and then again when we get back and use that as a start off point for me. so Aaron, I will not have any numbers for your challenge until after the 10th...So that gives me what, 14 days to lose 5 lbs..oh boy...talk about challenge!!!!

Oh Laundry Fairy!!! Come to Utah TOO!!!!! I since yesterday, I've been putting my clean laundry on my love-seat to be folded...I'm so busy and the laundry is overwelming! Disposible clothes is what my family needs!

I actually opened my back door today and sang that song that Giselle sings in "Enchanted" to try to lure the woodland animals into my home to help me clean. Three squirrels scampered (ok dove) into the woods behind my house to take cover! No woodland animals or birds came to help me :sad2: On the upside my children were mortified! So some good came of it. I figure we get along so well with my neighbors that they would think it was hysterical if they actually heard me!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
OH! I lost 2 pounds! The 3 Goals thing WORKS!

Thanks for the jumpstart Wendy. I lost 2 this week also!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I didn;t keep the exercise goal but the calorie counting and oodles of water seemed to do the trick!:thumbsup2

:lmao: i would've loved to have seen that! sounds like something i'd do. ray would just ignore me and my dogs would look at me like i had lost it. i MUST see this movie now! i've been meaning to and with the holidays last weekend never got around to it. my friend erin wants to see it so maybe we'll go this weekend or next!

Definitely see it! It's a lot of fun!

So many yummy foods there!
Yeah, I'm definitely thinking the scale is going to yell at me to "GET OFF!" when I weigh-in after the trip! Oh, well..I don't care...there's no way I can resist all that yummy food while I'm there...so, yeah, I'll have to really focus once we get back!

okay....i have to share this with you all since you're probably the only ones that would understand. i was talking to my boss today and noticed that the beads on her dangley earrings had formed a hidden mickey. i almost pointed it out to her but then i felt like she'd probably think i was psycho, so i held back! :rotfl:
LOL! I love it! My DD sometimes wears the Huggies diapers w/ baby Mickey and Minnie on them...and the other day, I could've sworn I saw a hidden Mickey. So, I told my DH and he, of course, just rolled his eyes! If he's already annoyed w/ me, just wait until we're actually there next week!

:Better luck next week. No biggie.
Thanks! I knew I was going to show a gain after Thanksgiving, so at least I was prepared for it! That stuffing gets me every time!:rolleyes1

MonyMony3471: Air drying???What is he thinking?:rotfl: You could be describing my kids! Well, really just my daughter. EVERYTHING is a potential battle. :headache: This morning it was clothes...she would wear all black, everyday, if I let her. So, as the person buying her clothes, I make sure to get some color in there. Not crazy or anything, just not plain black. OK! Anyway, I feel better now. That book got it wrong, men aren't from Mars,TEENAGERS ARE. I love my kids.

DS is 19 now,but 4 years ago when we went to WDW, all he wore was black. I bought him some light colored t-shirts and told him if I let him wear black t-shirts at WDW in August I would be arrested for child abuse. He did comply, but only because we were 3000 miles from home and wouldn't see anyone he knew. I won't even go into what he wears now. God bless him, though, he does tone it down when we go to see my mom.

Well, whaddya know, the 3 goals worked! I lost 2 pounds this week to put me at my lowest ever adult weight of 177.2. Congrats on the lowest adult weight!:thumbsup2 Could you add my weight loss to your chart? It's down this post a bit.Thanks.

I absolutely hate Family Guy; I won't allow it in my house when I am home. The episode that made me despise it was the one where it implied that the pervert neighbor was about to rape an underage cheerleader who'd been left tied up. Not one bit funny.

Guess what, still working, still behind, the internet is so slow - cant respond - but love the pictures - and boy do I have a dd story - talk about drama - and then I lol at the shower - my brother used to run the water and sit on the toilet singing - when he got yelled at, he was done - not a drop of water would touch him LOL and my middle son - dont get me started on that phenom!! roflol!! My brother used to do stuff like that, and even wet his toothbrush and rub it on the back of his hand to make it sound like he was brushing his teeth. I was 2 years younger, but still wise enough to say, if you're stuck in the bathroom all that time anyway, why not actually brush your teeth?:confused3 I think he improved when he went to the dentist and they found 10 cavities at 1 time.

okay....i have to share this with you all since you're probably the only ones that would understand. i was talking to my boss today and noticed that the beads on her dangley earrings had formed a hidden mickey. i almost pointed it out to her but then i felt like she'd probably think i was psycho, so i held back! :rotfl:
My family thinks I'm nuts because I spot them all the time. I even took a picture of one in the bushes when we stayed at a beach house for the 4th of July.

Well, PD I followed your 3 goals and lost 2.5 lbs. Thanks for sharing, buddy.

Good morning everyone!!
Being up at 7:30 on a Saturday is sooo not me! lol!
I am actually waiting for our contractor/window installer/carpenter to get here and look at a lovely MOLD problem it seems we are having in our bathroom vent area:scared1: nasty. I just want to rip out everything and build a new bathroom all together..oh wait though...i am still without a job..so that is not happening :sad2: ah well....

So i was brave this Morning and went on the scale for the first time in about 3 weeks! I guess i only gained about 2.4 between then and thanksgiving..and i really have not been good with the eating..been working out, but still..i had about my weight in stuffing the past few weeks. SO..if by some miracle i can get that off of me by WDW time next week..or at least part of it, i will be quite happy/suprised! I guess for the challenge i will weigh in on Wed. and then the Friday i get back...

Have a great weekend everyone!! ..we are cutting our tree today and decorating the house! :):)
