Parking at Boardwalk Villas

Boardwalk is as bad as Jambo standard or GF. when checking in. Unless you have one small rolling carryon. As long as you do not have other bags, it is fine. Just pay Valet for the drop off. FFS, people act like they cannot walk.
And if you are handicapped, I do believe valet is free. But JC.
I think that the OG VGF building is much better for parking access than BPK.

We were planning on using our car almost everyday of our 6-night stay, so I was concerned with the convenience of the parking lot. (We can walk).

But I also want (1) to stay at a resort we have never stayed at (have stayed at SSR and OKW multiple times) and (2) be close to Epcot.

Since September is the lowest point month, I feel a little less guilty splurging on points for a 1-bedroom, since we haven't been able to get a studio there.

So balancing the pros and cons, I think we are going to go for it!
stop thinking book it,,wont regret,,,boardwalk is great close to epcot and HS so only need car for 2 parks. I would only do AK as parking for MK, I would bus instead,,just me.

I don't find Boardwalk parking when staying at DVC villas to be anything difficult since they completed the construction. There was a period of time when the self-parking area was limited to a far spot of the lot, but since then, parking by the Tennis Courts is usually available, and that puts you quite close to the wing of the villas building.

If you're not stair-averse, you simply walk in the end of that wing to the farthest rooms from the lobby. But even if staying by the quiet pool in preferred view, or the main pool, you can walk to the parking lot via the riverside pathway - you don't have to go through the building and lobby. Often when I stay at Boardwalk, I only see the lobby area a few times - most of the time I'm headed out a back or side stairway to walk to Epcot or DHS, to the parking lot or bus stop which are both closer to the end of the DVC wing than the lobby. One of my frequent spots to stay is on the croquet court, preferred category...lovely view of Swan and Dolphin, and has it's own side stairway that drops you right on that river path. I can pass through the main pool breezeway to walk to Epcot, or take the path to DHS or the parking lot, and even just a short walk around the corner to the Boardwalk or Swan and Dolphin, without going through the lobby. If I'm feeling lazy and want to take the boat to DHS, I can walk over to the Dolphin boat dock which is closer than the Boardwalk one from those room!

We have never been inside the hotel or villas, only walked past it, so we are completely unfamiliar with the layout, this is really helpful, thank you!

Given the pros and cons you've outlined I think you should go for it! You can always set a rotation or draw for the short straw and have one person go for the call and pullup to pick everyone else up!
