I got a job!!!

I went on one interview and they Hired Me!!

Now I am kicking myself, cause I took the first $ offer.. Could I have gotten more? Probably! Darn it.. Well, anyway!

Yesterday was somewhat of a good day for me.
Wake-up 5:00----20 oz water
1 cup of coffee
Oatmeal for breakfast with 20 oz of water --this was about 9:00
Lunch WW meal with 20 oz water
snack around 2:00 -1 pt. and 20 oz of water with flavor added
After school--20 0z water
Dinner at church--ate DS last tiny piece of cheese pizza and a small bite of his cake (I really don;t even like cake, but it was choc. with white icing and crumbled oreos on top. 1 cup of coffee

So I got in at least 100 oz of water alone. There were times I felt from all the water and needing to go to the restroom.


I will try and post a picture and a better bio later today. Lets have a great day

I do not know how you and Lynda drink that much water. I am trying very hard to get in 60 oz. and I stay in the bathroom!

also FYI if your photobucket album account is NOT set to private... know that techno smarties can take your url and snag your pics - well you can get your pix snagged just by posting, but I was reading a saga of SplashMt (she posts on the Budget Board!!)

so when I went in and edited my pic, you could read the url - and if you delete the numbers and just click on the part that ends with my name... click you could get into some albums...

Why would anyone want your pics? What do they do with them? Am I on a porn site somewhere holding my dole whip?

Ok---I laughed out loud during class and my kids just looked likeI grew a third eye. Not a good thing since I have now drank 70 0z of water and really need to go. I have had 3 kids and my bladder just does not work like it use to

Hey everyone,
man I just wrote the longest post and it wouldn't let me post it. So let me try it again. I am freaking out! First of all let me ask you what you're biggest fear is. Multiply it by 10 and that is how I feel about the dentist. Which is why I haven't been in like 2 years for my cleanings. I know gross - I brush and everything though. So, before Christmas, I started having a toothache that I attributed to an old filling since that had caused me problems in the past with another tooth. Well luckily it went away. But the past 2 weeks it has come back but moved farther south and I'm now thinking it may be one of my impacted wisdom teeth that the dentist told me that I should have out because I have no room for them in my mouth. I can't tell if it looks different because I only look in there when I'm having issues so who knows if its swollen or if teeth have shifted or what. The thought of going to the dentist is giving me absolute panic attacks and I have been on the verge of tears all day today just thinking about it. I tried calling my mom to talk to her about it. But she must be on her break. So I'm venting to my peeps. I want to just go home and hide under the covers (as if that would really make it feel better), but I have a meeting in 30 minutes and a speech client after that. Then I can go home, but I still have paperwork to do plus pack because oh yeah, I'm going to WDW tomorrow for the weekend. I'm gonna be a blast to be around. All miserable and mopey and worried.

Ok, maybe if I write this down, I will feel better: I will enjoy my weekend and next week I will call the dentist and swallow my fear and get lots of drugs and have them look in my mouth and try to fix me up.

Nope, still freaking out.

Hope you all are having a skinny day. At least I have that going for me today - I haven't eaten all that much because my stomach is in knots thinking about this darn tooth.

It WILL be OK. My DH has an extreme fear of the dentist too. I wish I could get him there. The sooner you go, the better it will be & the sooner it will be over. Lots of to you. Good luck!

I also have a paying job at church. I direct the daycare/ preschool program. At our church, the school inherits all the left overs. Like when we had 15 left over pizzas Sunday night. Plus we have a cook who like to make homemade bread pudding. I feel your pain!

A snow day - I am so jealous! I am going to try and post more dining review after church tonight.

Okay, I am now officially running late for work.

Pixie dust and prayers for my DD (11) please. We all started this new healthy lifestyle together. Needless to say, DD is not happy about it. I feel like a drill sergeant. I am really trying to keep it simple. I told her she could have a brownie when the other kids were here last night, but no coke. I am making her drink water or crystal light. I have to help her monitor snacks. Anyway I hope this gets better soon.

Sending you prayers for your DD-I am having the same problem with my DD7(8 next week).I feel like the food police with her.

How do you guys drink so much? I've been really naughty today it got to 2pm and I realised I had only had half a glass of OJ and the milk on my cereal. Is there a smilie to slap my wrists?

Also my walk went out the window today too, I had decided I would leave to pick up from school half an hour early every day and do a brisk walk. 10 minutes before leaving school phones to say eldest DD was feeling sick could I go fetch her. Ahhhhh. So not only do I not do my walk but now I end up driving down to get her so even less exercise! Oh well I suppose it's an hours walk tomorrow.

Hi Peeps - just wanted to check in since I've been away from the DIS and will be for a few more days.
One of my best friends lost her husband to cancer Tues. night. He was diagnosed in April 06, a month before their first baby was due. He fought well, but declined rapidly last week.
Needless to say, it's been a rough few days, but she's hanging in there and I, along with lots of other friends, have been doing whatever we can to help. I'm scheduled for a trip to Buffalo tomorrow AM and I feel awful leaving, but can't cancel. At least I was able to reschedule my return flight to be back in time for the funeral Mon. AM

Sorry to ramble! To be honest, I'm agnostic and feel a little weird asking for prayers, but I'm asking on behalf of my dear friend and her family, who are very religious and will appreciate it enormously.

Love ya'll, and I'll see you next week if I don't get in again till then.

A little about me--next month I will have be married for 13 years. I teach special education 8th grade math. Love what I do. I also am the director of our Wed. night kids program at church. I tutor kids from 7:15-8:15 every morning and from 3:30-4:45 twice a week. On another day I work with underprivledged kids until 5:00. Since by DH travels a great bit I am aslo the one who gets the kids to most of their events. As everyone else I have very busy hours and a lot of time I go for quick meals. I am trying to cook at least 4 healthy meals a week. They will eat at church on Wed. and we will do something quick the other two nights. While I am at work I am very motivated, it is when I get home and juat want to relax. I am a closet eater--I have to have accountability to stay on target. That is one reason i like WW so much. I went and bought my first scale on Monday--I bought cases of water, and told everyone no sweets aloud in my room. I am married to a guy that has never struggled with his weight and so he does not understand the struggle it can be. He has learned not to say anything. Hopefully with this board I will reach my goals. I would like to lose 15-20 more pounds. For a while I was using the excuse well I just had a kid--he is one and I have lost the weight I gained--so now there are no excuses.

Drink water and lots of it
Start running again
no eating after 7
Run 5k in March
Run 10k in April
Hopefully next Jan. I will be running the 1/2 marathon at Disney--who else is doing this?

V - I am so sorry about your friends DH. We will pray for her and her family, and for you since you are being such a good friend. I will also be praying that you have a safe trip, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!

We are starting agility with her in February.

I would love to get mine into that. Shadow can run like the wind. I think she would be good at it. I have got to get Trixie trained first though. One thing at a time.

Nope, not mermaid. Although I wouldn't mind having a tummy like Ariel's. I drink about 8-10 oz. at breakfast, about 4-5 16.9 oz. bottles at work (some with Crystal Light or Lipton diet tea On The Go added), and about another 20 oz. glass at home with dinner each day. And I have found that I am going to the little girl's room a LOT more at work than what I was before! Eventuallly I believe my body will adjust, and it won't be quite as often. That's what happened last time I drank water regularly, but it hasn't happened yet this time.

Just think of all the exercise you are getting going to the little girls room.

Jasper tried to get the gentle leader off her nose at first too, but she got used to it, and she doesn't try that very often anymore. I can't believe the other dog tried to get it off for her! That is hilarious!

This dog is one of her best friends, and I think the other dog is really bothered by it.


It is working though! I have to keep telling myself that sometimes. I think that's why I get so nervous before weigh in days. I feel like I have soooo much hope riding on the number on that scale. But it's better than wondering if it's working or not until I go down a size, which will take a little while.

Yes it is and you look MAHVELOUS!

I was worried!

I love reading all the dog stuff! I am such a dog lover! Speaking of dog-lovin', the two dogs in the backyard next to ours (in plain sight of our dining room window ) are playing "leap frog" !!!! Or maybe they're "hugging" but I suspect there's going to be Aketa puppies in late spring. Uff-Da!

My Golden retrievers do best with the meany prong collars. The gentle leaders (muzzle and armpit style) weren't as effective. With the prong collars I have complete control of both dogs and the can be walked together without ripping my arm out of the socket. Mean but very effective. The dont pull at all because it would really hurt. Poor wuppies!

Glad you are all toasty warm and back with us! Now send some of that good puter luck to DISUNC! I miss him.

I may have to check into the meany prong collar for Shadow. My instructor used it on her, and she was a dream! She wouldn't sell one to me because she said I pulled on the leash too much, and it might make her aggressive. She said I had to get better before she would let me have one. I am much better about that now, so I may try it.

i also have to use the "meany prong collars"...our lab is a bit of an escape artist, and if he has an opportunity to bolt he would..and would take my arm with him I think! I do feel bad about using that type of collar, but he usually behaves and doesnt' get "pronged"...poor chiefy!

Mine will bolt in an instant. I had the two of them tied out while I washed the car, and was moving her to the backyard, when her collar slipped out of my hand for a second. She ran all over the neighborhood like a greyhound. I am hoping she will get better with age. Luckily, she got nosy in my neighbors garage, and DD was able to snatch her back up.

Just wanted to say Hello all I am once again sleep deprived poor lil Mayson was up all night again and now he just wants me to hold him and do nothing else so i think i am gonna do just that poor lil guy love to all and prayers to all who need them . i will check back later

The job I took was for the job I interviewed for on Monday. It lasted 3.5 hours. They pay better than paypal...

I will be working m-f days.. holidays and weekends off.

I will still chat.. but, I wont be able to be as commited to the dis as I was before .. I have not worked since the end of July.

My eldest daughter is really, I mean really upset that I got a job. I have been able to cater to my children for the past several months and Grump has been around a lot as well..

Now Grump is gone more since it is a new year and there are a lot of people to train around the country.. so I am home with the girls.. So, it will be another adjustment.. but, I did tell her that we are about 95% sure we are going to WDW this year now that I have a job.

Some things still have to come together and we need to pay some people back form helping me/us for the last several months..

But I want to be happy.. I want to be happy NOW! (stomp)

I'll try and clarify my paranoia. When you post a pic, you use the IMG tag... now sometimes you post the whole url example http.s28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/eeyore45/disney20Pics - so all a nefarious person has to do is delete all the stuff after "eeyore45" and if your photobucket account isnt set to "private" it lets people swoop in... and SplshMt was informed her siggy pic had been snagged and uploaded on someone elses photobucket account!! Now this just amazes me on so many levels. I know some of you understand about privacy, and I appreciate that - mostly I'm blaze/indifferent about the whole thing, and I mostly just dont want to be left behind...

Confession. I cant get back into the exercise routine. I get depressed thinking about it, and change the subject, read, knit, Dis... so I'm going to gain tomorrow... I'm stuck at 10# loss because I'm not fighting hard enough for me! I've become indifferent, or frozen...
