DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

Hi Peeps - just wanted to check in since I've been away from the DIS and will be for a few more days.
One of my best friends lost her husband to cancer Tues. night. He was diagnosed in April 06, a month before their first baby was due. He fought well, but declined rapidly last week.
Needless to say, it's been a rough few days, but she's hanging in there and I, along with lots of other friends, have been doing whatever we can to help. I'm scheduled for a trip to Buffalo tomorrow AM and I feel awful leaving, but can't cancel. At least I was able to reschedule my return flight to be back in time for the funeral Mon. AM

Sorry to ramble! To be honest, I'm agnostic and feel a little weird asking for prayers, but I'm asking on behalf of my dear friend and her family, who are very religious and will appreciate it enormously.

Love ya'll, and I'll see you next week if I don't get in again till then.

Sending prayers and  your way! That is awful!

LYNDA - I have 2 4 month old pups one is siter and one is brother. They sleep in their bed on my side of the bed!!!

My girl "Miss Moo Moo cow - is the secret police here!!! EVERYTIME I GET UP!! THere she is!!! Noisy little thing...I even think I hear her saying at my 4am raid...do you really think you need to eat that??

VIC the boy sleeps through all the action! He looks Dh and all his snacks, he doesn't care for mine..so he could care less what I am getting its jsut yuck to him anyway!!!

:rotfl: That's funny! The thing about mine is that when she wakes up, she has to go pee, and we still take her out. (Still working on her come command) And it is COLD out there. I have no desire to wake her and disturb the bladder! :rotfl: Two 4 mo old pups, huh? You are braver than I! :) What kind are they?

WEll they are mutts but very cute ones!! Husky lab , Shih Tzu!! The mother was a husky lab and dad was a Shih Tzu! A very inspired one he was at that! The mother is a very large and tall dog!!!

I do have to post their pics one day! Miss Moo Moo has stole my heart she is a princess! Vic is a real boys dog young and old! He likes to relax and snack alot! My DS named them both!

AS we speak Miss MooMoo is chasing and yapping at the drops of water melting off the gutters from the snow and jumping at the ground trying to GET them!! Too funny she keeps me amused. Vic is laying there just watching her! What a guy!

OMG I got bleeped!! Too funny!! Wait a minute am I in trouble??? I did not put a spece between the dads breed!

Got to tell you guys a funny story, my DD aged 8 is a lazy wotsit and I have to yell at her every morning to get out of bed, have breakfast, get dressed etc etc. Well yesterday she listened to the weather and it said we would have 6" of snow over night and her teacher also said the same. Well 7 o'clock this morning she was up, dressed and ready to play in the snow, trouble was she forgot to look out the window first because guess what there was no snow anywhere. :rotfl2: She was not a happy bunny, but at least she was ready for school with one and a half hours to spare. :rotfl2:

Funny how kids can get up for the "fun" stuff! Hope you get some snow this weekend! :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!

Things are looking up! DH is feeling much much much better and was up walking around just fine last night. DD4 went to the dr and has a bladder infection, but at least I got antibiotics and she should be over her symptoms by Saturday. DD6's cough is much better. DDog finally stopped barfing! :cool1: It's going to be a good day, I can feel it!!!

Hope everyone has a skinny day!

Glad everyone is feeling better! Amaxing what an impending trip to Disney can do for you!!!

PrincessV...I am so sorry for your friends loss. My prayers are with her & the family. As for your trip to Buffalo, it is snowing here, so bring LOTS of warm clothes! Temp today is 17 degrees! I believe we are expecting snow all weekend. Thought I'd let you know. Have a safe trip! :cutie:

Hey! I'm upstairs an ON the computer! Horay!

I was worried!

I love reading all the dog stuff! I am such a dog lover! Speaking of dog-lovin', the two dogs in the backyard next to ours (in plain sight of our dining room window :scared: ) are playing "leap frog" ;) !!!! Or maybe they're "hugging" but I suspect there's going to be Aketa puppies in late spring. Uff-Da!

My Golden retrievers do best with the meany prong collars. The gentle leaders (muzzle and armpit style) weren't as effective. With the prong collars I have complete control of both dogs and the can be walked together without ripping my arm out of the socket. Mean but very effective. The dont pull at all because it would really hurt. Poor wuppies!

i also have to use the "meany prong collars"...our lab is a bit of an escape artist, and if he has an opportunity to bolt he would..and would take my arm with him I think! I do feel bad about using that type of collar, but he usually behaves and doesnt' get "pronged"...poor chiefy! :dog2:

Oh dear! I have that same Kashi meal in my freezer waiting for me! I LOVE coconut. I am a bit leary now.

So what was your take on this meal? I am always hesitant to eat anything with the word grass in the title... :scared1:

today I received a memo that music is not allowed in our offices any more...any music could be construed as a public performance if a citizen walked by and heard our music (whether it be radio, CD TV, or Inet) and hte copyright companies woudl fine us for copyright infringement. SO instead of paying to have license our county govt has banned music from county facilities. So all those who would like to take aerobics at the rec dept...ando without tunes, you wantt o ahve a wedding reception...just cant have DJ...aaggghhhh what a crock I am seriously bummed!!!!

That is rediculous! Newnan is so stupid sometimes!!! Does that seriously mean no music in the Kickboxing Class at the Rec?!?!

week if I don't get in again till then.[/QUOTE]

Sending prayer and :grouphug: to Bee, V, and Dr Dene - love you girls! Keep your heads up - it WILL get better!

And for these new rules....this just stinks. We all look so "ordinary" now...:sad2:

Yay for getting the upstairs computer going! :) So glad you did!

Oh, how nice that the neighbor dogs are "hugging"! :rotfl: So is that in full view for the children?

Well, you use what you gotta use to get them to behave. If they aren't pulling, then it shouldn't be hurting them. And if they aren't pulling, it must be the right tool. I get to pick the next breed of dog we get, and it is either going to be a Golden or a Husky, I think. I have always wanted a Husky, but Goldens seem a little bit lower maintenance from what I've heard.

Hey everyone,
man I just wrote the longest post and it wouldn't let me post it. So let me try it again. I am freaking out! First of all let me ask you what you're biggest fear is. Multiply it by 10 and that is how I feel about the dentist. Which is why I haven't been in like 2 years for my cleanings. I know gross - I brush and everything though. So, before Christmas, I started having a toothache that I attributed to an old filling since that had caused me problems in the past with another tooth. Well luckily it went away. But the past 2 weeks it has come back but moved farther south and I'm now thinking it may be one of my impacted wisdom teeth that the dentist told me that I should have out because I have no room for them in my mouth. I can't tell if it looks different because I only look in there when I'm having issues so who knows if its swollen or if teeth have shifted or what. The thought of going to the dentist is giving me absolute panic attacks and I have been on the verge of tears all day today just thinking about it. I tried calling my mom to talk to her about it. But she must be on her break. So I'm venting to my peeps. I want to just go home and hide under the covers (as if that would really make it feel better), but I have a meeting in 30 minutes and a speech client after that. Then I can go home, but I still have paperwork to do plus pack because oh yeah, I'm going to WDW tomorrow for the weekend. I'm gonna be a blast to be around. All miserable and mopey and worried.

Ok, maybe if I write this down, I will feel better: I will enjoy my weekend and next week I will call the dentist and swallow my fear and get lots of drugs and have them look in my mouth and try to fix me up.

Nope, still freaking out.

Hope you all are having a skinny day. At least I have that going for me today - I haven't eaten all that much because my stomach is in knots thinking about this darn tooth.

Hope

Alright!! :thumbsup2

WOnders10 I totally know how you feel. I used to get like that before the dentist as well..all consuming fear of the man with the metal..but then i realized, they are there to help me, not hurt me...despite the crazy dentist from Little Shop of Horrors..and i would be better for it. It may sound nuts but I would think .." Ok, is this going to kill me?" nope. " is this going to take away anything in my life that i really care about?" nope. " is it for my health and well being??" YUP! and then i would feel better.
Hope this helps...somehow! :)
Now if i could just use that mantra when its my turn to go to the "lady doctor"....that is my fear!
