Guess what I did today??

I went to Disney days at AAA.... I got served breakfast, and I got a Mickey Rice Crispy treat..(even having gone to Disney I had never had one).. So, I cheated and ate on.. will have to pay for this later.

I won a Jiminy Cricket!!! I even yelled Woooo hooooty!

Grumpy can verify... I never win anything... I even told people about the Disboards... :cool1: :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Here's my method. Stand on the scales, then have a CLOSE friend stand behind you and lift them. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc If you can't find anyone to help, I'm sure my DH would volunteer.;)

OMG that is sooooo funny!!!!

:sad1: I baked pooh: muffins this morning, and they didn't turn out right. I think my oven is off by about 25 degrees, and my baking powder is old. Oh, well, back to the drawing board.
On the upside, I ate Go Lean Crunch for dessert last night, and it had a super effect. I am down 2 lbs. this morning (if I can just hold on to the loss until Friday). Everyone have a great Sat., look out for the Costco freebie ladies, and just keep slimmin'.

Mony, sorry about the infection. They can seriously wipe you out, which I guess you know. Take care.

Hi everyone! :wave2: I'm new here! I heard that this was the place to be to get a 'fastpass' to thin! I'm all over that and can use all the help I can get! My post-Disney depression has taken it's toll, and I've gained 6 pounds since we've been home from our Christmas vacation! I can't afford to keep gaining weight, so PLEASE help me!

Since most of you have been at it for awhile already, what seems to be working for everyone? I've never done any 'official' diets before. The only time I ever really lost weight was after my 1st child. I joined the YMCA and went to every aerobics class they had. It worked for me back then, but I don't know if I can do aerobics anymore! (It wouldn't be a pretty picture, let me tell you!)

So, I'll take any suggestions you might have to put me on the right track.

Thanks!

-Michelle

I tried making bran muffins w/bran buds recipe I got from WW. They taste ok but the texture is awful!

You are in the right place.. We are supportive and kind. We (grumpy and I) are just trying to change the way we eat. Dont want to think of it as a DIET.. Anyway, Utahmama is our leader and we bow to her daily.

She wants to earn her patches... by the way it is the one with blonde hair in my siggie... see she doesnt look like that.... (except when she is having a temper tantrum!):scared1:

:confused3 Am I just confused why do womens clothes have a size 0,2,4,6,14 anyway. Is anyones waist really 2 inches or even 14 inches?????? With mens clothes the size is the Sizei.e. if you wear a 42 then your waist is 42" I know it is complicated but it works for us.:teacher:

THANK YOU - I agree 100%!

Wooo Hooty! How cool is that?! We have a AAA in town but never heard of disney day.
You and DH seem very nice. Thansk for the tips.
My DH is snowwhite's prince but he doesnt really want to do the boards. He will eat whatever I make and has at least as much to lose.

I used to be a GS leader. It was dangerous because I used to buy waaaay more than we needed and fill the freezer to help earn those points for prizes. I am a pushover for kids selling anything. I once bought rocks (yes, I said rocks) that a little neighbor kid painted. He was like 5 and knocked on the door and asked if I would bu them because he was raising money for the ice cream truck. I bought two!:rotfl:

Grumpy used to never get on the boards.. now he LOVES these ladies. I keep trying to get him to some other threads.. he is dedicated to this one only. I want to read trip reports, so he and I can write one on our next trip to Disney.

Maybe snowwite's prince will come out also...

You are soooo cute to help all the little kids out... what is your address I will Dani right over..:rotfl2:

Hi Michelle - you've come to the most fun and supportive place in the world.. and in The World!
The diets don't work for me - too many restrictions and counting. The only thing that's ever worked for me is eating less and exercising more. Problem is, the older I get, the more exercise seems to be required! And, with the exception of yoga, I'm not a fan of exercise. :sad2: But you'll find lots of good suggestions here and tons of encouragement!

:welcome: :welcome: ~~WELCOME MICHELLE~~ :welcome::welcome:

I have "seen" you on the trip report threads...so I kinda feel like I know you ! You will love it here...this is a great group of ladies (and one cutie guy...grumpythreadhunk), this is the MOST supportive group of peeps you will find anywhere.

Thanks SOOO much for the warm welcome! It really means alot to me! :goodvibes I am having a hard time convincing myself to go through with the commitment to losing weight. I'm sure you all understand. It's no little thing. It means changing your whole way of life. I have used food as an anti-depressant for so many years, I don't know if I can change my bad habits! :confused3

Now that things are looking up for us as a family, I keep telling myself NOW is the time to work on ME! It's been several years since we've had a 'positive' start to a new year, and I don't want to blow the chance to do something about my weight. But, I just LOVE my food! I hope I can do it, and with your support, maybe I can!

Thanks again! :grouphug:

-Michelle

P.S. and thank you for reading my TR - it's proof enough of how much I love food! Chocolate for breakfast! LOL! I've GOT to do better... sigh...

Hello. I am not exactly sure where to post but I am starting over AGAIN. I need to lose at least 72 lb-125lbs but the doctor says it needs to be not more than 1-2 lbs per week or I will get sicker. I had recent emergency gall bladder surgery and got diagnosed with a fatty liver just before the holidays.I feel so overwhelmed. I met with a size zero nutritionist(can being that skinny really be any healthier than being overweight?) and she lectured me about how she could not understand how I could let myself get so fat especialy since I am a nurse. I left there feeling chastised, reprimanded and embarrassed. Truth is I have no idea how I got to be this size but it is actually killing me now so I have to loose the weight and I have to try again NOW. My first thought was I cant do this. I feel like a big moose.I basically need to lose the size of a 10 yr old. How the heck did that happen! Anyway, I expect I will be needing advice, ideas, motivation etc during what looks to be a really big challenge. Am I in the right place?:confused3

You are defintely in the right place. I myself, have about 70 lbs. to lose. I am breaking it down into smaller goals though. Right now I am going for the first 30. I also have many not-so-nice things I could say about that nutritionist, but I will refrain since it is supposed to be a family place here. :rotfl: Anywho, you will find lots of support & many great ideas on this thread. I know I do! :goodvibes

Here's a Saturday AM question to get you going...

How much might the er... "girls":Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc add to one's weight?! it ocurred to me last night that I've gone up a cup and a half on my latest BC pills and maybe they're responsible for that pesky couple of pounds I just can't shake. Or am I just making excuses to get me out of exercising?!

And I know what you're thinking - yes I did try to weigh them. It didn't work; I just fell over on the bathroom floor. :rotfl:
I'll leave you with that lovely image to contemplate as you go about your day...

OMGosh! That's hilarious! :rotfl2:

Does anyone have suggestions for an accurate scale? I threw out the digital one because I'm pretty sure I didnt lose and regain 20 lbs stepping on and off it. I just dont know which is a good brand. The WW ones had some bad reviews on Amazon so I am little leery to buy one. Any ideas?

I have a Homemedics, I believe. It's from Linens 'n' Things and was a bit pricey (I am a sucker for fancy features, and this one had lots! :rotfl: ). I think it was $60, but seems very accurate based on what I last weighed at teh Dr's office. It also calculates body mass, bone mass, water weight, ideal weight, current calories & calories needed to achieve ideal weight. Don't know how accurate all the extras are, but it is interesting to take into consideration.

Here's my method. Stand on the scales, then have a CLOSE friend stand behind you and lift them.
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc If you can't find anyone to help, I'm sure my DH would volunteer.;)

Hi Everyone-I have a question that has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss but I'm gonna ask anyway. Do any of you crafty peeps know if any of the stores in your area sell Daisy Kingdom fabric? I would like to make a dress for my DD but I cannot find fabric for it. TIA

Welcome Michelle!
As for me, I am doing ediets. I have zero will power and zero control. I have to be told when to eat, what to eat and how much to eat. I must count calories and fat or I will fail.
Good for you for making the decision to take of YOU! You deserve it!
I'm glad you joined the thread. If anything, these gals (and guy) will keep you laughing and they're very supportive!
