Is this the same show eeyore saw this morning in IL? I have no idea what time Oprah is on in other states...here in Buffalo she comes on 4:00! I am at work and can't watch. Oh well. I'll need highlights ladies!!! :yay: Thanks!!!

Yes, in Chicago area she is on at 9am and 11pm (gotta love the 11pm show repeat!!)

Its on the Claim theLife you Deserve and he shows products he endorse on Best Life the brand on cereal, etc.. and you can go to www.thebestlife.com as Oprah looks into the tv and in your eyes... THIS is the YEAR!!! :cool1:

eeyore45;16420072 So the Oprah and Bob Greene Show talk about The Best Life. Bob has teamed up with food manufacturers and we can now look for a circle that says "Best Life" and know that in portions said:
Isolation[/B] Isolation. They touch on this through someone's story of how she lost 100#'s

Then... lack of motivation This goes hand in hand to hate to exercise mantra... his response... DO IT FIRST - motivation will follow. Just START hmmm that so sounds familiar!!! :yay: and that I've done. Then this woman comes out, Bob made a connection to her, and she dropped 30# in 4 - 6 months just by not drinking soda!!!

The mantra... Claim the Life you Deserve! They said there are 6 foods to give up for the phase - like soda, white bread, pasta, fried food yada yada... replace with whole wheat, whole grains... and he talked about doing one replacement meal, slimfast ...

another favorite was Wasa Crackers, you get a good crunch. Take that with a thin turkey breast slice, tomato slice, basil leaf, make 2 with a bowl of soup and you get the crunch... crunch is important to Oprah!!!

Yoplait was also mentioned for calcium, the 100 calorie Key Lime serve it in a nice pretty glass mix with strawberries, blueberries for breakfast!!

So Look, its as if we read Bob Greene's book already!! :dance3:

OK I tried to take out my chit chat when I reposted... on the website they list the 6 foods, and if you post your food diary they will help you... again, portion control, and healthy foods and exercise is the key!!

As far as crocs go. I LOVE my crocs. I got them in '05. I have no more achy feet or back pain. I'd wear them all year round if I could. AND I have no problem what so ever wearing socks with them ANYWHERE.

Do they make those to bowl in?

I have 12W tootsies over here. Used to be 11's but I have no more arches after 3 pregnancies. I don't think it can get any bigger here.

I get the XL mens. I don't think they are ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Zarenna is cute! My sister had a friend growing up names Lorena which I think was beautiful.

Love how you all are leaning on the girly side. Tee Hee!

If you cant watch it, today go to http://www2.oprah.com/index.jhtml you can see pictures from the show, and on the right is links to the 6 foods etc...

For the 6 foods link, you click and each page tells you why to avoid, soft drinks, trans fat, fried foods, pasta, white bread, high fat dairy products.

(kinda obvious, but still, its important. I have eliminated soft drinks, white bread, and pasta so far!)

Anyone else likin Mondays? I'm feeling Monday is a start fresh, I can make it through to Friday!!!

oooo i like Zarinna - the nicknames can be cute tooZarree, Reena... and I like the ZoeAnne!!

:goodvibes UtahwendyMamma You always swoop in to pick me up!! Been like that for hmmm since I "met" you in a trip report!! :goodvibes

I do like trying to "blog" so sometimes if my post gets longwinded, no worries, I'm just talking to myself!!! ;)

OK back from Bally's : Monday - 30 min eliptical (yea me - I wanted to give up at 20, 25... pushed thru)

20 min circuit strength (arms are mush) training

20 min off road (ie. "the ball" and situps, and a horrible push up - I did it. You lay across the ball on your tummy, then walk forward and try and do 3 reps of 8 push...aaack so very hard.) Some squats etc.

:dance3:

Dragonfly forgot to mention on the Croc topic - since I"m an 11 ( :eek1: ) I've bought both L and XL - XL is roomy comfy and huge on my feet - the L is snug on the top esp if I wear the band behind my ankle - so you just pop them in a dryer or dishwasher till they get all warmish, then put them on, stretch the back band, and viola... not so huge on the feet, not small... just right!!

and UTM I thought the story was a couple of guys in Colorado needed boat shoes that had orthotics built into them!!! I hate that theyre ugly, but this is one trend thanks to the Dis I started in our town!! roflol - I will caution you about getting croc knockoffs, the ones at Target had a hard plastic, not that soft resin, the ones at Payless are the soft resin!!! fyi...

Croc's Trivia... :teacher: Croc's were designed and first manufactured..... in QUEBEC !!! Just outside of Quebec City. They were developed as gardening shoes but the company was purchased by some guys from Colorado and they hit it HUGE with the boating market. That why older Crocs are marked made in Canada but most new ones are made in China, etc.

I just bought My DS pink Disney ones...soooo cute. I saw lime green kids ones but not adult....I will just keep looking.

Zarenna is cute! My sister had a friend growing up names Lorena which I think was beautiful.

Ok ... dont want to offend anyone... but, Lorena was ruined for me.. Lorena Bobbit :scared:  :scared: .

Cant say that name w/o thinking of the other. Sorry!!!

Yeah, they had lime green for the kids (and blue with lime green strap which was sooo cute!), but apparantly they think we adult would not like the fun obnoxious colors. As if?!?!:cutie:

We only get Oprah once per day on the East coast and it is at the most unfriendly time of 4 pm. I'm still chained to my desk at that time!

I just picked up my car and it ran like a champ coming back!!! YEAH!!!

UTM You are so very smart!!! I was clicking around that site last week at NO charge, now you have to pay for a ONE month or etc to a year membership??!! :scared1: ($19.95 - $149 Lifetime??!!:scared1: )

Reminds me of the Richard Simmons Website, I just refuse to pay for that!!

Esp with this group of peeps!!! :goodvibes

:grouphug: to our special Peeps not posting!! :grouphug: Keep on keepin on, dont give up - we're here for you when you can!! THIS is the YEAR!! 5K in Jan '08!!

:flower3: All in good time!!

Tinkabella Thanks for clearing that up!! yeah Canada!!!

Hi everyone!!I was doing pretty well until I got home-now I have joined the crabbypattypeeps.Rachel was home sick today with DH ,he walks out as I walk in and he quickly informs me that she has not had a nap.She is exhausted, not feeling well and won't stop crying.I am letting her eat a snack and I am going to lay her down.

I really just want to go to the gym but I don't have anyone to watch her.I guess that is pretty selfish but oh well if you can't be honest with your peeps....

Okay I have to go put the pukey sheets/pajamas in the wash ...I just want to know when she is going to stay well for more than a week.Today it is 75 degrees and tomorrow the high is 43,maybe that has something to do with it.

PS-Did someone mention a book club??I love to read.I am reading a Nora Roberts trilogy right now that Dragonfly lent me.

This name is pronouned: Lor-enna, the e is sort and not like a true A sound.

They were from Argentina. Their names were Hugo, Cecelia, Jorge, and Lorenna. (the J and G sound like an H)

Amers I sure wish that baby would get better (and your DH and my DBF would get their heads out of their butts - that could be part of our CrabbyPattyProblems...) Is there a smiley for "head up your butt"? :sad2:

And I meant to say something about the book club too! I am all for that!

I should not have said anything... I love you Monica.. sorry!

I think whatever name you come up with we are going to LOVE IT!:cool1: :thumbsup2

This was posted on Sparkspeople.com as "How you know you are a Sparker" but I think it applies to PEEPS too! It is cute, so I thought I would share:

10…You mentally count the calories that other people eat too.

09…You look forward to your time at the gym. WOW...did I say that?

08…You plan your day's calories around the birthday party where you know you will want a small slice of cake! Your body says "Thanks for planning" and your taste buds say, "Thanks for caring!”

07…The people on your SparkTeam (DISappearing PEEPS team), were all strangers when we started, begin to feel like real friends.

06…You can’t wait to call someone because you just weighed in and were able to move your tracker down a pound.

05…You grab a bottle of water before you grab your keys as you leave the house.

04…Your significant other is looking for you and you are on the computer and says, "Oh, you must be putting in your dinner," without seeing what website you are on. (actually - I get "oohh, Disboards AGAIN! Should I make my own dinner? :rotfl: )

03…You see an overweight person on the street and want to approach them and tell them about SparkPeople, and the only thing that stops you is the fact that they might hit you.

02…You want to ask your waiter how many calories, grams of fat, fiber and protein your menu item has in it.

And the winner

01…You want a snack but you don't eat one because it is too much trouble to get online and log it.

:goodvibes That's a great list (but should come with that warning - the lol and have nothing in your mouth when you read this warning!!! :rotfl2: )

I'm back from the grocery store, inspired by Bob Greene - I have some Yoplait Light Thick and Creamy yogurt - and i"m eating it!! (this is so huge, you have no idea - there is only one kind of yogurt I eat, Yoplaits Thick and Creamy CARMEL!!! but I think I can eat this!!!) Some meal replacement bars... WASA crackers, thin lunch meat.... :goodvibes I love this Monday!!

So I paid like $391 to fix my car yesterday, right? Which was a good price considering other places were quoting it for hundreds higher. And then today when it had to be "flushed out and cleaned up" he didn't charge me anything. He is a really nice guy, but my DBF says I am just getting the Big :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Discount. :dance3:

Thank you all for your sweet comments about the family picture! I am proud of my pretty little red headed girl and my cutie blue eyed DBF.

And yes Grumpy, Harley is right... This is definitely an "after" picture. I lost 30 lbs last year on WW. I gained a few back and still have a few to go after that, but I am doing it right with weight training this time so alteast it will be toned when I am done!

And as for the Crocs, well I hated them myself! I made fun of Dismom and Harley for wearing them for the last couple of years. Then I saw the Mary Jane style that just came out and really liked them. I went down to buy me some and that was when I saw the Disney Crocs!!! I couldn't resist - I had to have some!

Here is a picture of the cutie Crocs! No laughing at the white socks!!! I put them on to make sure you could see the Mouse Ears cut outs.....

Christmas142.jpg

Those are cute! How did you get the pooh on there? That sounds kinda gross doesn't it? :rotfl:
