my crab is getting smaller thanx to you peeps...and I took a REALLY strenuous bike ride thru the trails...felt good to pump the ole legs, and get the blood flowing...maybe I can drop the fat this week and my pants will fit again and I won't have to feel like sausage all day again...My diet hasn't been very good as a result of the crabbypatty..I had a phil cheesesteak for lunch...13 pts - ouch:scared1: so that puts me at 19 pts B4 dinner! so i guess its broccoli:confused: for supper?

thinking of being proactive too and cooking some chicken breasts that I can snag for lunch fairly easily...
off to crop til dinner...thanks for pickin me up peeps! I might make it this week after all!

Ok, so I found a good deal for 10% off plus free shipping at Dicks Sporting Goods. Use the following link to get the discounts. I ordered my black Mary Jane Crocs (cause I can never find them in stock) and they came out to $28 delivered including tax. That is like a $4-5 savings off buying them at the store AND they had my size and color (which none of the stores ever do!).
Don't know if they have the Disney ones (I was specifically looking for my Mary Janes), but it is worth looking at! :cool1:

:grouphug: Good afternoon all ! i just got back from dentist DS 9 he had to have 3 teeth pulled because he is a shark mouth (like his mom) i am officially done with the dentist now.. well for 6 months .. My kids go back to school tommorow whoo hooo
I was reading ,alot of people are in bad moods today or yesterday
Sorry !Here is major:grouphug: for all.. i agree with UM do some service for someone else even if it's small. it could just be a phone call saying i am thinking of you ...
i am a lil overwhelmed today with it being Martin Luther King day, the holiday before was just a day off, but for some reason today, i am a ball of emotions i am so thankful for what this great man did because if it wasn't for him i would not be with my husband (he is part Black)and my kids would not be here:hug: i was driving through my neigborhood and saw a flag at half mast and thought why? then it hit me, and i got all warm inside. then at the dentist some people i overheard said and i qoute "they were thankful for goood ole martin dying because that was a non-work day for them" .and it made me a lil mad. i am just wondering if maybe i am just overemotional, or if this is truly outta love for my husband and children..the last is probably true. anyways i just had to share that thought with my peeps:grouphug: and now i feel alot better......
now to catch up on some more posts.:flower3:

Misty, I am grateful for MLK also, but, I believe the flags are still at half mast for the passing of Ford. Flags are to fly at 1/2 mast for 30 days after a presidents passing. Just FYI. Love, Bee

Bee, sorry! i know the family that live there are a black couple .. i forgot to mention that.. but that would explain why some people still have there flags at half mast.. thanks for the info i would not have know that...;) much love to you..

Agree with Bee on the flags flying at halfmast.

:grouphug: Good thoughts Spongie... :goodvibes

I have a hard time with injustice in the world, in my country, in my town... and to see where Martin came from (his sister wrote an amazing, wonderful children's book,) and then to know how he died... it is overwhelming!! I grew up isolated, (not sure if that's the right word) but I feel blessed that God is in my world and I have His example to lead me!! I am one who thinks the kids should be in school to learn about Martin on this day, last year they did have a half day in school, and it was all about MLK - next month is Black History month - last year DD learned about CJ Walker, and I was ashamed I didnt know that she was the first Black Woman millionare!! She was amazing! So much of American's history is watered down... So I understand your emotions. Dont even get me started on the Holocaust. Yesterday there was an article on a IL Tech professor who went to Europe to get the stories on tape, he died before he finished his project - and it was just uncovered, thousands of hours of real tape of real people who survived this horrific time. Just thinking of the atrocities makes me cry.

Then last night on 7th Heaven they talked about Darfur, and the genocide going on there - it all becomes overwhelming!!

and then back to what UTM said, do something for someone else!!! :goodvibes

Hakuna Matada---- No Worries.. lol

One of the things I love about teaching elementary school is being able to share with the kids about wonderful people like Dr. King. I had the kids brainstorming on Friday about ways to make sure we treat each other fairly. When I taught third grade, my kids got used to me crying when I would read to them about amazing people who came through adversity to help others. In kinder, it's a little more lightweight with a focus on being nice.

Hey, someone posted about the new options for "Profile" including Blog, etc... I started playing, and couldnt figure out anything. So I went to Technical Support... ADD set in, and found this place has a live chat area!!!

http://host50.123flashchat.com/disboards/

I think this could be fun!!!

Peeps Post when you go into chat, so other Peeps can join you/us?? Esp those that dont want to post, you may be able to get into chat and not leave a trace... :confused3 :goodvibes :rolleyes1

Guess I"d better log out and take a shower, since it is 5 PM... YIKES make that 5:30!! :sad2:

So I spent a little "me" time on getting full-on pretty today. I am now light ash blonde from roots to tips, and I shaved my legs (TMI?). I spent 35 minutes on the elliptical, and did arms and abs too. Now DH is coming w/me to the grocery store. I'll be getting more veggies for my WW soup. I love it, and it's so cold here. A friend sent me a picture from the next town over where a girl was standing on her family's frozen over swimming pool. That just doesn't happen around here.

:grouphug: to all the crabby patties. You all are totally awesome, dudettes!

I LOVE random acts of kindness !!! About 10 years ago, on my way home from work, I got off the commuter train during a wicked snow storm. I kept thinking about all the snow and ice that would be piled up on my car. When I got to my car... it was snow free ! Someone had taken the time to clear all the snow for me. It made my DAY !!!! I still remember it. Now whenever I am out (Mall, School, etc) and I clean the snow off of my car, I always do the car beside mine...I remember how great it felt to think that someone wanted to brighten my day and I want to share that feeling with others.

Try it !!! :cheer2: You get a "magical...dixie dust" feeling just by doing something for someone and expecting nothing in return.

:goodvibes Hi everyone! I'm new here :) I've been lurking awhile, but I thought I would join in if you'll have me. I am working on losing 10lbs that I have gained over the holidays. With the stress in my life right now I am having a hard time making the scale go down instead of up. It seems like I will be good for a few day, start seeing results and then WAM! Something will stress me out and I will undo all of my good work in a few hours :confused3 I want to be accountable, so I am joining up! :cool2: You guys seem to be the place to be! I hope I can keep up with you! If not I'll try to seem like I have some idea of where the conversation is when I post lol :teacher:

:wave2: Nice to meet you! PS: I like the instant message board Eeyore (thanks a bunch if you know what I'm talking about (to few posts to PM right now)

Ok ... dont want to offend anyone... but, Lorena was ruined for me.. Lorena Bobbit :scared:  :scared: .

Cant say that name w/o thinking of the other. Sorry!!!
:scared1:
Yeah, they had lime green for the kids (and blue with lime green strap which was sooo cute!), but apparantly they think we adult would not like the fun obnoxious colors. As if?!?!:cutie:

We only get Oprah once per day on the East coast and it is at the most unfriendly time of 4 pm. I'm still chained to my desk at that time!

I just picked up my car and it ran like a champ coming back!!! YEAH!!!

I'm taping our 1 a.m. show. Missed most of the 4:00pm show!

:thumbsup2 on the car running smoothly!

I hope I can keep up with you! If not I'll try to seem like I have some idea of where the conversation is when I post lol :teacher:
:welcome: Tinkersmom!!! FIRST POST!!! Jump on the wagon and hang on tight. This thread moves so fast that I get lost sometimes, too. :)
