If I can make the dis meet, it will most likely be a solo trip.

And as for the hair color Snowwite...try using Prell. It pretty much can strip out if not at least lighten the color you just did. My aunt is a hairdresser and she gave me that tip after a color at home went very wrong.

get your pencils, and write this down. These are tasty but have a weird lumpy texture. That texture is your friend. Oh yes, it's your friend.

AKA: 1 point muffins or Thursday Muffins.....

Makes 24!!! pre heat oven to 350*

3 Cups All Bran Cereal (comes in sticks or buds. I use buds, but either will work)
2 1/2 C water. (you'll want to add more, but dont)
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla
1 pkg. FAT FREE Krusteaz Brownie Mix (or similar product...fat free brownie mix. Krusteez is an 18 oz. box)

Soak cereal for at least 10 mins. I just soak them in my Kitchen Aid mixer bowl.

Stir/ mix well

add baking powder, vanilla, and brownie mix. Mix well. It looks dry.
Spray muffin tins with Pam.

Fill each spot about 1/2 full. Make sure to scoop small so you fill all 24.

Bake about 25 minutes. Check at 20 mins. The recipe is 20-25 mins. But mine are done at 25.

These muffins are very moist and only last a couple days. Go easy on them....drink lots of water too!!!

It is only my first week on this board and I gotta say I have been a little surprised by all the Pooh muffin and colon blow talk:rotfl:
I didnt realize that we were going to lose weight.....that way
Anywho I am still trying to figure ways to gag down my water at work. I hate plain water. Does tea count? I am also having trouble getting in the exercise due to a bad arthritis flare. I cant take my meds due to liver issues so the viscious cycle continues.
And on another note I may need to stay home for oh...6-8 weeks or buy hats because I colored my own hair. I normally have dark brown w/reddish high lights. Now I have reddish brown hair and my darn grays are still gray. Not exactly what I was hoping for. My shower, walls and counter are a lovely specked brownish red through(my bath is white) Uh oh. DH is on his way home. I have mey hair in a turban. I am afraid to do anything else to it lest it fall out.
So, if blondes have more fun what do red heads have? Should I just keep my oops color? I have blue eyes and freckles so it doesnt look wierd. ust not me:)

Uh Oh! Hair disaster! At least it's not green! Good luck with that, poor thing!!!
Maybe dish soap? Or go darker? Darn those greys!!!!!

Sorry we're a little "comfortable" these days with our pooh talk. Dieting constipates alot of folks so we're just trying to keep things moving along ;)
Potty humor helps our awkward situation. Sorry!!!!

Have you tried Crystal Lite? I LOVE the Walmart brand that's Cherry flavored!!! It saved me! I guess tea works too. I think if it's sugar free and it's added to water, it should count! Green Tea is suposed to be pretty good for ya.

So, Umama, if you were going to open a restaurant at Disney featuring your movement recipes, what would you call it? Moving with Mickey? :lmao:

Yay Thanks! A couple questions though.

You say they only last a couple days - because they go bad or because they're so yummy you eat them all up?

And should I start eating just one and see how my body reacts to it before I attempt to eat more?

And how do they taste? I really like the Krusteaz brownies so that won't be an issue. But all that bran stuff? Not so sure.

*Shannon

snowhite - My WW leaders always told us that we could count decaf soda, coffee, and tea as waters - but only 3 of the 6 waters we were supposed to drink daily. As long as you aren't adding calories or sugar or caffeine, I think its ok.

I thought they tasted good and my DD7 likes them.My body didn't react to them but you may want to take it slow and work up to eating three at a time like some people do...;)

UTWENDYMAMA!!! Thanks for reposting the recipe!! I made them tonight, and dh and I both ate one... dd took one bite (she licked the bowl mind you) and threw it away - its ok, but it has a weird mouth feel... :rotfl2: We watch a LOT of Food network, and Iron Chef!!! Me? I noticed NOT the "mouth feel" just chocolate... it was so super easy to make, in and out... (from mixer to oven to mouth) 30 min!!

I do have to give a shout out to my muffins - they are super easy to make, super high in protein, and healthy carb (oatmeal/oat flour!) and fruit (fruit is a good for you too!!) but they do require a bit more work - food process the oats... seperate eggs... but you can freeze them before work pop two in the microwave and eat in the car!! (I sure had to hit edit and reword things!! :rotfl2: )

Help is but a phone call away!! And a store I'm sure!! Not sure what brand of color you used, but check to see if there is an 800 number to call, if not... you must look again, because surely you used.. Clairol and thier number is 800-CLAIROL (800-252-4765)

I'm not a beautician, but I play one with my hair!! :rotfl2: My grandmother was a beautician, and I have no qualms about "playing" with color. One time I forgot to wait 2 weeks after a perm to color... think of BOZO the clown RED hair, mama Judd... I called Clairol they gave me the "recipe" and sent me to Sally's Beauty supply, another time I messed up, probably too red, and too much grey showing as well, they told me to just simply put an "ash" on top, and it worked MARVELOUS - once while in Sally's purchasing my new combo - they told another lady the same thing, ash works wonders!! There is this new hair color in Sally's that is high end fashion, it doesnt fade, or turn orangish - I love love love it!! You just buy the color whip/white, a container, gloves, and the color you like, mix, and do like you do with the box stuff - FABULOUS!! The sales people at Sally's are extremely helpful!! ITS SO much cheaper to get it that way than to pay $10+ at Target etc!!

Those look fiberlicious! Do they taste good??

I also recommend Crystal light type products. My favorite is pink lemonade and DH likes grape.

Those of you who are watching your girls' eating(I think it is Bee and Stacey) are you sending their lunches to school??If so what are you putting in them??I was just watching a documentary about how bad lunches at school are calorie-wise.:confused3

AAGHH!I cannot get DS9 to go to sleep!!!He has been in bed sice 8:30 and it is now 10:24.:scared:

Ok, so I have caught up some more and am ready to do a bio about me I guess! I have a tendency to ramble, so I hope this doesnt turn into a tv movie of the week.

My name is Jen. I live in the North Dallas area, in TX of course, and I am 32...for a few more weeks anyways. I have been married to my husband Joe for almost 6 years and we have one daughter, Amanda, who is 4. I currently am a SAHM but I do a few things part time. I am a nanny to a cute little newborn baby boy 3 days a week. (I have been a nanny for different families before this one, and I love working with kids) I also teach Dance (ballet and tap) to preschoolers in area daycares and preschools. I am an independant contractor of sorts for a company that has been doing that for over 35 yrs here. It is great because I pick where and when I want to teach, they find me the schools, and the parents dont have to take their kids anywhere because we do it at their schools. And I get to do something I really love. My DH is a 'used car salesman', but I promise he is not shady or sleazy ;) He is not a Disney person at all but I married him anyways, and after our trip in Sept he said he had had enough for a lifetime...yet I have almost conviced him it would be a great idea to return this fall. :cool1: I have always loved Disney but only went a once as a kid and once as an adult before this past fall.

Lets see...I grew up outside of Cleveland, OH and so did my DH. All of our family is still pretty much there with the exception of my mom and one of my sisters who are here in TX. After we had dated for about 2 yrs we decided we didnt want to be in OH forever so we literally picked a state we always wanted to go to and picked a city. Seriously. Thinking back, I felt like we were being brave...but had things gone badly we would have been quite stupid to move to a place where we had nobody! :rotfl: We picked LA, CA and were there for a yr before going to San Diego for 3 more years. Then we had our daughter and CA was too pricey...so we came to TX. At least we have some family here, the weather is much better than OH and it is cheaper to live which meant I could SAH. In CA I was working for a car dealership in the service dept. I worked about 50-60hrs per week and was a Service manager. It is quite laughable, because I knew very little about cars before starting that job...but being there for as long as I was I learned alot. The hours were nuts, and I couldnt stand the thought of leaving my daughter, so we had to make a change. It was hard to leave a place where I could drive to Disneyland in less than an hour though!

I went to school for Dance (thus the screen name!) but I never got to finish. I was in a car accident in my 2nd year where I was hit by a semi truck. :scared1: It was scary but I was ok...except for my back and neck. I had to take almost a yr off school because of my major being so physical (I danced close to 8hrs a day)and I never returned.:sad2: Life got in the way and I hope to return to finish at some point. I have pretty much always struggled with weight since I was a teenager. When I was younger I couldnt gain weight. And then my older sister, who was always heavy, put a curse on me. :wizard: I used to eat all day, mostly junk and never gained a pound. Then one day I remember her saying to me once, "One of these days this eating is gonna catch up to you and I am gonna be there laughing when it does!" Arent sisters sweet ? ;) It started to catch up to me in high school and it has been a battle ever since. When I had to stop dancing it really hit me. I thought I was heavy in HS. God I WISH I was that 'heavy' now! The good thing I guess is that people tell me I dont look heavy. But, I know what the scale says, and it is not pretty or healthy. According to 'the charts' I can lose about 70-80 pounds and still be at the high side of my weight range.

Other than that, I love to watch cheesy girly movies and my Tivoed guilty pleasures- General Hospital which I have watched ever since I can remember, and pretty much anything else that is cheesy. I love watching HGTV and those kinds of things, and dream about what I wish I could do. Mission Organization is my latest favorite. I wish I could do what they do to my house. I fear it is a mission impossible however. I also love to scrapbook, when I can find the time, but mostly I love shopping for the supplies. Who am I kidding,I like shopping for just about anything. If only I had the money to support my habit.

Ok, now for the pictures. I have never posted one in a post before, so here goes nothing! The first one is from a yr ago, but it is one I like. Notice the strategic placement of the child to hide my huge fatness, and the laying down to squash my tummy and my DDD's- I like to call them 'the twins'. The second one is from Sept.

You are beautiful!! and so is your family... WELCOME!!!

"ok... just for the uninitiated... in computer speak bob is an acroynm for "battery operated boyfriend" somehow I'd feel real funny wearin Bob helped me get here... "

Thanks for that...

That is so funny!

I have joined a group of legally insane women and one funky grumpy.

I simply picked Bob as a name that was short to go with crack . It could of been the crack of Jack or the crack of Richard (put in here the nickname) or the crack of Stu. It could even have been the crack of Muffy or Buffy as well for those who think I am being sexist.

Battery Operated Boyfriend did not pop into my mind on any concious level - :rolleyes1 although it is really good and it made me feel slightly horrible that I did not know it.

If I had been reffering to that ...it would have been PPP.

Thanks and oh yeah,
In our family I say..."I was up at the butt crack of me!"

P.S. Bee is on her way home...she is awesome and you all need to meet her!

OMG- Between you and Grumpy- I am funny... NOT.. :rotfl2:
Dawn, it feels like we have known each other forever. So glad you are now a part of my life. Your kids are beautiful and AWESOME!! (just like their mom)!!
Next time maybe we can meet DH.. Is he real?? :rotfl2:

Glad you are back!!

My favs are WM brand Cherry limeade, and grape, and cranberry apple...I struggle with getting enuff water in too...this helps me alot...I'll take 2 of the individuals ("on the go") and put them in a 1 liter water bottle...drink away! drinking from a water bottle helps me gauge how much I actually drink, instead of guestimating

So, Umama, if you were going to open a restaurant at Disney featuring your movement recipes, what would you call it? Moving with Mickey? :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: And what's wrong with green hair?:confused3

NSalz is ok. Did she post here that she got Bells Palsy on Wednesday? SHe looks good, but is tired and her face is numb! Her family has just had the worst time, health wise since Thanksgiving time! Please remember them in your prayers. They are truly one of the best families ever!

AAGHH!I cannot get DS9 to go to sleep!!!He has been in bed sice 8:30 and it is now 10:24.:scared:

My kids Meals at school are about 700 calories! YIKES!!!! They bring home a menu with the nutrition info. on them. Which makes me want to serve oatmeal or cereal in the morning to even it out.

Childhood obesity is SCARY these days and is only getting worse! Coke and snack machines and Nintendo instead of riding bikes!!!! Did Y'all see "Super Size Me" the Mc Donalds Documentary??? Very Very Interesting. Part of it had a school lunch segment. Junky food= bad behavior!!!! Healthy foods= great behavior! :confused3 My 8 year old has my genes which really worries me.
