Ok, so I have caught up some more and am ready to do a bio about me I guess! I have a tendency to ramble, so I hope this doesnt turn into a tv movie of the week.
My name is Jen. I live in the North Dallas area, in TX of course, and I am 32...for a few more weeks anyways. I have been married to my husband Joe for almost 6 years and we have one daughter, Amanda, who is 4. I currently am a SAHM but I do a few things part time. I am a nanny to a cute little newborn baby boy 3 days a week. (I have been a nanny for different families before this one, and I love working with kids) I also teach Dance (ballet and tap) to preschoolers in area daycares and preschools. I am an independant contractor of sorts for a company that has been doing that for over 35 yrs here. It is great because I pick where and when I want to teach, they find me the schools, and the parents dont have to take their kids anywhere because we do it at their schools. And I get to do something I really love. My DH is a 'used car salesman', but I promise he is not shady or sleazy

He is not a Disney person at all but I married him anyways, and after our trip in Sept he said he had had enough for a lifetime...yet I have almost conviced him it would be a great idea to return this fall.

I have always loved Disney but only went a once as a kid and once as an adult before this past fall.
Lets see...I grew up outside of Cleveland, OH and so did my DH. All of our family is still pretty much there with the exception of my mom and one of my sisters who are here in TX. After we had dated for about 2 yrs we decided we didnt want to be in OH forever so we literally picked a state we always wanted to go to and picked a city. Seriously. Thinking back, I felt like we were being brave...but had things gone badly we would have been quite stupid to move to a place where we had nobody!

We picked LA, CA and were there for a yr before going to San Diego for 3 more years. Then we had our daughter and CA was too pricey...so we came to TX. At least we have some family here, the weather is much better than OH and it is cheaper to live which meant I could SAH. In CA I was working for a car dealership in the service dept. I worked about 50-60hrs per week and was a Service manager. It is quite laughable, because I knew very little about cars before starting that job...but being there for as long as I was I learned alot. The hours were nuts, and I couldnt stand the thought of leaving my daughter, so we had to make a change. It was hard to leave a place where I could drive to
Disneyland in less than an hour though!
I went to school for Dance (thus the screen name!) but I never got to finish. I was in a car accident in my 2nd year where I was hit by a semi truck.

It was scary but I was ok...except for my back and neck. I had to take almost a yr off school because of my major being so physical (I danced close to 8hrs a day)and I never returned.

Life got in the way and I hope to return to finish at some point. I have pretty much always struggled with weight since I was a teenager. When I was younger I couldnt gain weight. And then my older sister, who was always heavy, put a curse on me.

I used to eat all day, mostly junk and never gained a pound. Then one day I remember her saying to me once, "One of these days this eating is gonna catch up to you and I am gonna be there laughing when it does!" Arent sisters sweet ?

It started to catch up to me in high school and it has been a battle ever since. When I had to stop dancing it really hit me. I thought I was heavy in HS. God I WISH I was that 'heavy' now! The good thing I guess is that people tell me I dont look heavy. But, I know what the scale says, and it is not pretty or healthy. According to 'the charts' I can lose about 70-80 pounds and still be at the high side of my weight range.
Other than that, I love to watch cheesy girly movies and my Tivoed guilty pleasures- General Hospital which I have watched ever since I can remember, and pretty much anything else that is cheesy. I love watching HGTV and those kinds of things, and dream about what I wish I could do. Mission Organization is my latest favorite. I wish I could do what they do to my house. I fear it is a mission impossible however. I also love to scrapbook, when I can find the time, but mostly I love shopping for the supplies. Who am I kidding,I like shopping for just about anything. If only I had the money to support my habit.
Ok, now for the pictures. I have never posted one in a post before, so here goes nothing! The first one is from a yr ago, but it is one I like. Notice the strategic placement of the child to hide my huge fatness, and the laying down to squash my tummy and my DDD's- I like to call them 'the twins'. The second one is from Sept.
