Hi Everyone

I ahev just come back from disney and I thought I would share my Tips on parking at all the Theme Parks and also in Florida.

Before I went as I have a Disabled Blue Parking Badge in the UK I applied to the Ocealo County Dept for a Temporary Parking Permit. I telephoned them and they told me I had to send to them Photo Copies of the front and back of my Blue Badge and a Photo Copy of my passport. I actually E'mailed this to them. They very quickly E'mailed confirmation that they had received it. I then telephoned them back and gave them Credit Card details (All ver safe)

Within about 4 days I received my Temp Badge. This was used in Disney as when they see it displayed you get the best parking space. (You follow the Blue line on the road to yourn space) I also:dance3: used it when parking elsewhere out of Disney as it can be used for parking just like ours at home

Hi Maureen Mickey,

How much did it cost you to park at the parks?

I also only have an HP license plate and not one of those blue HP things that hang in the front of the car. I'm hoping that will be acceptable??

Joy

Handicapped license plates are fine too.

Thanks Peemagg!

Anyone know how much it will cost me to park in the parks or at the TTC?

If you are staying onsite at a Disney owned hotel, or have an annual pass, parking is free at the parks.

If you are staying offsite, it is $14 per day.

There is no difference in the cost of parking if someone has a handicapped parking permit than for guests without one.

I would suggest you should show your handicapped parking permit to each of the CMs you come to rather than just following the lines.
There are sometimes situations where the regular handicapped parking area is not in use (full or temporarily relocated). When this happens you will end up at a dead end if you just follow the blue line.

There is more information about parking in the disABILITIES FAQs thread.

Hello Joy

It costs 14 dollers per day to park. there is no concession with a diasabled Badge

There are two classes of handicapped spaces at the parks.

1. The handicapped area is required for guests who have a scooter or non-foldable wheelchair or must stay in the chair. This area is as close to the concourse as can be but the spaces do stretch way to the side just as in ordinary parking rows. OT: I wished they made the handicapped section half as deep with twice as many rows and general parking or cast member parking juxtaposed further out.

2. For guests who can get aboard the trams, all mobility aids folded and carried on, the painted spot at the start of each row of regular spaces is a handicapped space.
