I am come to Disney next year and I would look to hire a wheelchair as going round Disney will be to much with out one

I am also look to order some diapers due the heat and drink more water I am not if my bladder will be able to hold when in lines etc are there and tips etc to use diapers when i am in wheelchair all day eg in line as found hard to go when sat down

If you currently do not require the use of adult incontinence products (or "diapers") then you may indeed find them difficult to use with intent. Most people who ordinarily have control of their bowels and/or bladder would find it quite discomforting to try and use an incontinence product intentionally, especially in a public, exposed situation.

If you have concerns related to waiting in line (for example, you have a physical issue that requires you to be able to wait outside the line, like incontinence or frequent urination) that you can request a DAS at Guest Relations in any of the four Parks at Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and/or Animal Kingdom) Guest Relations is inside the Park (requiring a ticket to enter and speak with Guest Relations) Some people have reported being able to get their DAS prior to entering the Park, either at Guest Relations outside the Parks, or during a recent trial, at the Ticket & Transportation Center.

To be able to use the DAS, you will need to tell the Cast Member at Guest Relations *why* you can't wait in the line with the other Guests. It is important to note that they will not accept a doctors note/letter. They will not issue a DAS based on diagnosis, but instead will discuss only why you need the accommodation of waiting outside the traditional queue.

Regarding the wheelchair, regardless of where you are staying, it is recommended to rent one for the duration of your visit, as there is often a great deal of walking outside of the theme parks as well (thinking now of large hotel Resort complexes, Disney Springs, etc.) Do not rent a wheelchair unless you have someone to push you, or unless you use a wheelchair daily in your "everyday" life at home; the average Guest will travel between 3 & 10 miles per *day* at Disney World, and the average new wheelchair user will not make it from the Train Station to the Castle Forecourt at Magic Kingdom without their arms turning to noodles, and their shoulders giving up.

I normally drive back home in United Kingdom so I don’t have to walk as much but would looking to use bues and taxis to get about but I have just move to place with batter bus services so I may be look to sell car and buy a power wheelchair instead

it would be a power wheelchair I would be looking at to hire if cant bring over/don't have one at the time

if you do not own one at home most places will not rent you one as the learning curve is very steep. what about an ECV instead?

Most of the rental companies will not rent a power wheelchair to anyone who is not an experienced power wheelchair user.

There are many stores reasonably close to Disney, and many delivery services as well - additionally, lots of people purchase medical supplies via online retailers (like Amazon, for example) and have the supplies drop-shipped to the Resort hotel they are staying at.

I believe that renting an ECV (scooter) from an outside vendor (like Gold's) might serve you much better at Disney World. If you are staying at a Disney onsite Resort Hotel (like, for example POP Century) once you arrive and the scooter has been delivered to you, you can use Disney transportation within the confines of Disney World to travel to and from the theme parks, other hotels, and Disney Springs.

As far as further discussion of the actual use of the incontinence products, that is a highly personal matter, and one you may wish to discuss with your physician prior to leaving on vacation.
