Hi,
I'm have ordered a regular character dining package and a premium dining package for our January 2015 trip. I'm am leaning towards Goofy's Kitchen as we had a fabulous time there on Thanksgiving 2010. My daughter (age 7) would like to consider Ariel's Grotto, but I have read about having to walk down a spiral staircase to enter. If I'm having a really good day, I might be able to make it down the stairs, but would never get back up again. I will be using an ECV during our trip. Is there an alternate entrance or should we skip Ariel and stick with Goofy?

According to the Ariel's Grotto page, it says "may remain with wheelchair/ECV" under accessibility. :thumbsup2 Maybe try giving them a call and asking if there is a ramp, small elevator, or the like?

I don't remember exactly how it was laid out, but I did the Ariel's Grotto M&G in an ECV last year and there was no staircase of any kind. I was able to roll right up next to Ariel's platform and transfer over to be photographed with her.

I think you are talking about the meet &greet at WDW, which is on ground level.

The OP is talking about a restaurant with Princess meet and greets at Disneyland.
Everything I have seen says there is an elevator as an alternative to the stairs. I tried to find some pictures to show you, but all I could find was a kind of weird video an apparent elevator fan made of the inside of the elevator.

My apologies, yes, I assumed it was the M&G at WDW. I didn't see the reference to Disneyland in the OP's signature. I suppose I should always caffeinate myself before logging on in the morning. :)

I was at the Disneyland Ariel's Grotto with my family last month. I saw an elevator there when we were taking our pictures with Ariel. :)

There definitely is an elevator with enough room for an ECV. But that's really just about it, no extra persons can go in. I used it myself when I had broken my foot and was using an ECV due to that.
