Yes, I was listening to the "podcast backstory" episode that somebody suggested from 2010, and Teresa's segment was on there (forget what it as called too), but it was very cool - not just "Disney stuff" either!

Wanted to add a suggestion that I find really interesting! I love trip reports. They are one of my favorite parts about the DIS. Possibly you could have listeners call in and do their trip report live on the show (or even pre-recorded, whatever!) -- I like hearing about others experiences, some may like hearing about traveling with young children, experience with My Magic+, etc.

First of all want to say how much I enjoy the podcasts and that they can break up my work day a bit (tend to watch them over lunch the following day). There is a ton of information and love to hear the response/take from people that are very knowledgeable, generally, about the topics. I also appreciate that you have put up this thread, are clearly monitoring it, and already implementing some changes about it. The first episode of answering questions e-mails and voice mails was great!

One idea I had was to have team members participate in an activity they normally wouldn't and then provide their opinion on that. For example, have 1 or 2 people that don't consider themselves "foodies" go to V&A (perhaps along with someone who has experience there) or take someone along who has never done it for a drinking around the world segment. One of the things I liked most about the 7-in-7 series (which was great by the way - though recognize the time commitment for them) was that you had some new experiences for people (e.g., that Dustin had never been to Old Key West). I think being able to provide those "fresh" experiences is always great ... and may help motivate people to try new things

Speaking of the 7-in-7 - I really love the logo you came up for it (or logos as they were adjusted slightly for each hotel). Any chance you might put them on merchandise in the future?

One other thought - I do like when you cover the top 10 threads for each month especially when a bit of discussion comes up around 1 or 2 of them. I think even more of this would be good as great to hear your thoughts on "hot" topics on the boards

This is great stuff. In addition to doing things like "7 in 7", send your folks into the parks with the mission of exploring the different outcomes that result from a change in variables.

• Corey booked his 3 FPs in Epcot in the afternoon. Here is what he experienced in terms of standby waits and additional FP availability
• Craig booked his 3 FPs in Epcot first thing in the morning. Here is what he experienced in terms of standby waits and additional FP availability.
• Dustin booked his FPs only 3 days in advance. Here is what he found to be available.
• Julie booked a FP for the parade and Corey did not. Here is the view that Julie had. Here is what Corey found as a decent spot arriving only 30 minutes before the parade started.

I think this is a really cool idea - though would be a bit of a time commitment from people. Might also be better suited for the 2nd show/roundtable discussion

I love your show and I wouldn't presume to give any suggestions, but you did ask.......I watch on Youtube and I am not sure how well this would work for those who just listen, but I would like to see Restaurant reviews with video clips. These could be similar to the 7 in 7 on the resorts. It would be sweet if you could get the chef in each to say just a few words. I think these men and women should be appreciated more for the experiences we enjoy. Previous posts have mentioned Kevin's reviews and maybe they were done in this manor, I am new to DISBoards. I think I enjoy your banter because each one of you remind me of other people I know and love. Pete reminds me of my next door neighbor growing up, the only person my age on our road in rural Ohio. We rode the bus together from Kindergarten until we both started to drive who is still a great friend. Kevin is like my cousin who knew about all the cool stuff. John is like my uncle who was always the one we wanted to go on vacation with because he was fun to be around. JL you are my sister-in-law who I thought for years was just too sweet until I got to know her more sensitive side. Cory reminds me of my brother because he likes the same things you do. Craig you are like my favorite Nephew who is our family's personal tech guru. Dustin is like my best friend who kept me grounded and on task in any project we undertook. Teresa you are the most like me, the creative realist who isn't afraid to voice an opinion. And Kathy who is like my cousin, who liked what she liked and that was who she was. Now that she is gone I think of her almost every day. In a very short time you guys have become folks who share my Disney obsession. Through your reports I get to dream of leaving the cold weather I hate and live the dream.

CastMembers are not allowed to talk to the "press" without special "Media Clearance" and that's extraordinarily hard to get.

Any CM willing to share "backstage" info would be risking their job and their livelihood.

Any time we have ever had a CM on the show, they have been well prepared and we were aware as to what is and isn't discuss-able.

As our restaurant reviews are based on our honest opinions....we try to keep a low profile in order to not alter the experience. Filming would be a huge tip off and the restaurant would be on high alert.

I can't imagine speaking with someone from any restaurant and then describing their food as "swill", and if I can't give my 100% honest opinion...then I don't want to do it.

This makes sense in regards to the chef perspective. Let me modify my suggestion ....would it be possible to film or even take still photos illustrating what the place looks like after you eat. WDW is the most photographed place on Earth. What is one more tourist with a camera? There are many who will never get to experience these places or would be more comfortable knowing what the place looked like before going. The film clips of the resorts added greatly to the 7 in 7 reports.

LOVED the return of email show. I would like to see a show where each person picks and email and talks about it, but the rest of the team doesn't chime in. Then they could get to more emails.

Would like to see a 7 in 7 with some either value and moderates, or popular offsite hotel.

A couple years ago they did this thing with Teresa where she did a review of basically putting together and pulling off a 7 day vacation. I would love to see the same thing again, only done from the perspective of staying offsite.

I really miss Kevin's restaurant reviews, they were my favorite segments. I hope they come back.

I like Jenni Lynn alot, but when her and Pete get to going at it, it gets weird.

I would like to see an episode where they talk about FP + and singles. How Singles can be flexible with FP +? There's very few Single rider lines at WDW to use. Another idea is a Disney World trip without the parks. I've thought about doing a Disney World trip without the Parks before, but I don't know what things I can do that aren't like Golfing or Shopping.

He has some interesting interviews, plus many outstanding segments that focus on the history of Disney. His latest interview is with Rolly Crump.

Agreed . . . So a few years ago there was a special correspondent who did some great interviews with some Disney legends and luminaries. Perhaps either reintroducing some of that former podcast format and content at the appropriate time either in the special correspondent segment format or perhaps a cameo visit by a Disney, Universal or travel SME to the studio who might be in the Orlando area or even a Skype interview of that person to discuss a relevant topic on one of the three weekly podcasts. The former special correspondent audio only format predated the use of video in the studio and with that technological expansion affords a much greater number of options for both local and remote telepresence interviews and discussions with those SME's with either a historical or unique perspective of the parks, relevant topics or specific travel expertise. All of the aforementioned segments could greatly enrich the content and presentation of the three podcasts with an outside perspective to avoid the risk of presenting content in the proverbial vacuum amongst just the podcast team members.

I agree with the previous poster(s) who suggested trying to increase the perspectives of "Joe Tourist" (i.e. not typically someone who lives <30 min. from the parks). That being said, there is such a great mix of personalities on the panel right now that I wouldn't even necessarily want a guest sitting in to give their $0.02 at the risk of messing with the group's dynamic ... but maybe that's where you guys can utilize the forums a little bit more! Maybe you could create polls/threads on this board and ask people to vote and post their thoughts on an upcoming topic. That way, you'd get a wide spectrum of opinions and perspectives to sample for the show.

I also want to say that the show (actually, the whole DIS family of shows) is such a pleasure to listen to. Everyone's hard work definitely doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you for encouraging feedback and keep up the great work!

I know there are restrictions to getting on the property, and I don't know if any of you have military ID access, but maybe they would be willing to work something out so you could get access to the grounds to video? I know the logistics cold be difficult, and they may not allow someone to stay overnight without Military ID, but I can't tell you how valuable it would be to have that kind of video overview/review of Shades! I've helped a few military members plan Disney trips, and they always wonder what Shades is like and whether or not it's better to save money and stay there or to use Disney's military discounts to stay at a Disney hotel (which is usually more expensive). A video like the 7 in 7 you guys just did would be an incredible resource to so many military families planning Disney trips!

This might be a great opportunity to enlist (no pun intended) a military family on the boards to do a guest review of Shades of Green. Being someone who stays offsite, I'd love to see overviews of the various vacation home developments: Windsor Palms, Windsor Hills, Rolling Hills, Indian Creek, etc. What amenities does each offer? What's close by to each as far as dining is concerned? What things might make a guest choose one over the other?
