Speaking of checks and donations - is it planned to collect at each event, or can we "pre-pay" at credentials pick-up?

Either is OK - but I think it would be nice for the team member running the event to know exactly how much their event raised and it won't be possible to keep track of that if you pay for everything at credential pick-up - we won't be recording donations that way.

Our plan is to be there before the Dole Whip meet as we have kids, but after would be fun too I am sure

John, is cash not acceptable as a form for donation? I usually use 1 check a month, so, writing multiple checks does not seem like a good idea. How about credit cards? Can you guys take credit cards? Do you have a square account? Or a PayPal account (which you can get a swipper for)?

at least inside it becomes 21 and over only at 8pm (and kids are never allowed to sit directly at the bar) - I think they can be at the terrace area after 8pm though

We are targeting 5:30/6pm for getting there

We won't be going after the Dole Whip meet because then we're doing the fireworks get together but we might stop in beforehand. Depends how the day is going.

I am planning to go from Trader Sam's to the Fireworks get together so if I don't see you before I will definitely see you at the Fireworks one

Have you thought about gift cards issued by a credit card company? You can usually get them at the guest services at malls and sometimes grocery stores.

I'm still unsure why there isn't a late evening/night event on Saturday night.. Seems like a great time to have a lounge type event or something.

there's lots of these that will be going on unofficially.. make some new friends and pick a spot.

I am so very sad that my husband and I have had to cancel our trip to the DIS Mega Meet. It looked like it was all going to be fine, but our finances now won't allow us to go. I am really gutted by this. I so wanted to meet the DIS team that I haven't met yet, and meet alot of the DISboards people. I was looking forward to the auctions and the fun.
