DIS Unplugged 10th Anniversary - Official Information Thread

Had a bunch of errands to run today and missed both sign ups for ice cream with Kathy and Teresa. I did manage to get the 5 life lessons with Pete, but will probably have to leave early to go meet Kathy to ride Figment. I wish there was about an hour buffer time in between those two events.

I was thinking that too. I signed up for 5 lessons and for Figment...so at least we can go together!

What happens if we sign up for two events that are at the same time?

I would not suggest doing so as to allow someone else a chance to get into an event. If you already signed up, I'd suggest picking one and emailing the Podcaster in charge of the other event to ask for your name to be taken off the list.

I'm still unsure why there isn't a late evening/night event on Saturday night.. Seems like a great time to have a lounge type event or something.

Tradition is...you come up with the idea, you organize it!

Question regarding the donated sign-up fees for these events...I'm Canadian...what is the preferred method for donating money? I assume my personal cheque a (if I had them) would not be accepted.

They listed gift cards as one of the items that GKTW wanted. Could you get a credit card based one? You can often get these at the guest services at malls.

We too are signed up for the 5 Life lessons and Figment. Would it be better to bring separate checks for each event (5) we are attending or can me make out 1 big check for all the events?

I was wondering the same thing. I don't want to be writing a check for every event. I never leave home with checks. I'd rather just hand over one check when we pick up our credentials and have that cover everything.

Just a quick question that I wasn't sure of, I signed up for one of the events, Sip & Snack, and I didn't know how much of a donation would be appropriate? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Example, a minimum wage earner, for every $10 they have to work 1 hour.... How much of your paid time are you willing to give? You might only be able to afford a dollar.... Fine.... If everyone in this country gave a dollar to Give Kids The World, that would be about 323.5 million dollars.... So, everything counts, it all adds up, it all benifits them

Are the credentials only needed to attend the live show at Cirque du Soleil? I signed up to attend an event on Friday night but won't be able to pick up my credentials until Saturday. I just want to make sure I don't need my credentials to attend the Friday night event.

So I'm wondering the same thing. I have FP's and a rez at BOG that I will have to change/cancel if credentials are needed for Fri. night Dole Whips at the Poly.

Credential are needed for all official events.

If you win the Tour of the Studio and the Lunch with Pete we will make sure credentials are there for you.

If you are not able to get your credentials before an individual event starts please contact the person hosting that event (name and email address in first post with the description of that event) to see if they can do something for you.

Please keep in mind we have a lot of people attending and a lot of meets planned. The team and staff will be doing the best they can but they may not be able to meet everyone's individual requests.
