Dis snobs. What kind are you?

I am a grammar snob and a spelling snob, but I don't point out someone's mistakes unless they have pointed out their own or those of others. If someone wants to correct mine, I'm strong enough to accept and even welcome the criticism. I'm also an "overweight is not a disability" snob and an AOL snob (I can't stand AOL). Sometimes I'm a teenager snob, but that doesn't extend to my own niece and nephews, who I find to be adorable, well-mannered, and just plain funny.

guess I am a value resort snob. my way of looking at it is why pay so much more when I spend very little time there. Just there long enough to grab a shower and some sleep. Otherwise, I am out and collecting some magical memories!

I've become one. Don't know that I'll always stay in values, but I'm glad to know that I survived quite nicely without the Poly concierge.

I am a HUGE Hotel Snob, a rental car snob (though my personal car at home is a piece of junk), and most definitely a Gymboree snob!!!

CathrynRose, actaully the whole thread has been very civil, mostly because people declare what type of snob they are, not others. (or that they are around, but not naming names.) Rather like the bad parent thread. :teeth:

What what do you recomend for curly hair?

:wave2: Hi DisneyPhD!

Moisture, moisture, moisture - anything made for curly, colored, "dry brittle" hair - even if you hair isnt dry or brittle! Moisture is key for waves and curls...

Matrix has a phenomenal line out now - They have an Amplify, in a teal bottle for limp hair, they have a Sleek, in an orange bottle for fuzzies, they have one strictly for color in a purple bottle, and they have one for YOU, curls, in a lime green bottle. Good Stuff!! :goodvibes

I've turned into both a Disney snob and a Universal snob. Yes, I am often in conflict. ;)

As for hotels, I resort hop between onsite and offsite and I LOVE it. It's like two vacations in one IMO. Since I'm open to anything, I guess that I can't be a snob in this case though!

I'm totally with you on this one. I seem to go back and forth on which parks I prefer. Sometimes we visit both of them, but normally I will get APs to one and concentrate on those parks for a year. Then in the future I do the same with the other parks. Last AP was Disney and I'm going back there soon (a year after that AP expired). But I'm getting the Universal itch and will be pressing for that soon.

Lime Green, oh goody! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Do you think anyone will peg me as a dis'er with it in my hair? Thanks for the tip. I will keep an eye out for it.

This probably goes without saying, but I am an Adventurers Club snob. It drives me nuts when people name the characters incorrectly. Its PAMELIA Perkins, not Pamela.

And I am not sure what kind of snob this is, but it drives me nuts when people refer to Disney World and Disneyland interchangeably, as if they are the same place. This happened much more often when I was in Seattle of course, but people would often say "Oh, you're going to Disneyland again?!" No, I am not going to Disneyland again. I am going to Disney World again. And for the record I am going to Disney World again so I can go to the Adventurers Club again. And its PAMELIA not Pamela.

I am a How Dare You Smoke Near Me snob, for sure!

Also, I must admit I'm a Stop Screaming At Your Kids snob--geesh, Disney is supposed to be fun, correct your kids quietly!

I'm definitely an I Live In And Love Florida snob--I feel vastly superior to the poor slobs who don't live here! :rotfl:

That goes along with being an Illuminations snob--I've seen it so many times I'm always trying to escape the park before it starts, so why are people lining up to find "good seats" an hour before it starts?? :goodvibes

Most of all, I'm a You Haven't Lived If You Don't Like Disney snob. That's for friends, family, and co-workers who question my frequent trips to WDW--what DULL lives they must have~! princess:

:rotfl2: ME too! Did you ever have Prang crayons? They might not make them anymore. a stick of grease!

I'm also a stay at FW cabin snob but have and will stay at other ON SITE places. :goodvibes

I think I fit into many already mentioned but here are some that I don’t think have been posted yet:

Disney Cruise Line Suite Snob - I’d rather not go on the cruise if I can’t get a suite

Hotel Suite Snob - I won’t stay in a regular hotel room, it has to be a villa or a suite because I hate being crammed into a small room

Starbucks Snob - I'm not picky about iced coffee but I can only drink hot coffee from Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts is awful!

I don’t know how to word this but I guess you could say I’m a Have Your Own User Name Snob. I get frustrated when people share user names and I have to try and figure out who is posting. I’m not only referring to this board, I have also noticed it on other boards I read.

Oh yeah--and I'm also a Put Some Sunscreen On Your Kid, It's Florida, They're Gonna Burn To A Crisp snob--sometimes I just wanna offer up mine!

This thread is funny -

I'm definitely an on-site snob. How can anyone dream of staying off-site! (JK)

Also one of the worst kind - just a plain old WDW only snob. Went to Universal once - no desire to go back & why would I want to go see some fish, dolphins or whales at some place called Sea World? :rotfl:

Ok, time to bring this thread back to life.

I have to agree with you on this one. We were there a few weeks ago and it wasn't that warm most days. For the most part we didn't worry too much about it, (long sleves, pants and coats on) however so days and by the pool it was pretty nice and there was some crispy people. One lady ont he flight home was so red, I felt so sorry for her.

Also I am also a "wear sensible shoes to the parks snob". Please, I wanted to yell, "what where you thinking" at a lady with high heals at Epcot one day.

I fit into some of the previous catagories myself, but this is my biggest one:

DONE USE FOUL LANGUAGE AT DISNEY IN FRONT OF MY 2 YEAR OLD!!!! snob :snooty:  :scared1: :furious:

Whew! glad I got that off my chest.

i wasnt going to post but then i thought wait that would make me a dont reply to post snob! :rotfl: i guess we are dvc snobs since we are dvc'ers. and add another annual pass holders snob. :snooty: :rotfl2:

I could not believe what a lady was saying on the bus at WDW last week. She was talking to her mother on her cell phone. Her mother obviously was meeting her in Orlando the following day and the DD was picking her up at the airport. The DD kept telling her mother to call before her plane took off so the DD would know if the plane was on schedule. But the trash mouth this DD had was shocking. My DD who was with me is 18yo, so no worries for me personally, but if I had of been a parent of one of the young kids on the bus I would have told her to knock it off. I think she used every swear word except for the F Bomb. Then after that call she called her child (seemed like a teen or grown child) and ripped her mother to shreds. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The funny thing is I got a look at the lady (and I use the term loosly) when we all got off the bus. She had the shortest skirt on that I have EVER seen on a person. Makes my DD's short skirts seem long. It was literally up to her cheeks. It was all I could do to keep my composure and not laugh out loud. :teeth:

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I am one of the Gymboree snobs! Were you thinking of me when you typed this DisneyPhD? :rotfl:

The snobs that drive me wild on these boards--- (oh there are many....) ones who make blanket statements about finances- like anyone who charges something and can't pay it off in a month is an idiot type of statements. I just find that soooo condescending.
